A dazzling ray of sunlight landed on Quinn's window causing her to wake up. A very nice smile will burst upon you if she is with you every morning, you can't hide the joy inside her in every morning that comes, no morning will pass that she doesn't smile every time she wakes up. Before her clock even ring she's already awake, she always wants to annoy her sister whenever she sees her still asleep, sometimes she squeezes her sister's face or maybe her nose just to wake her up.
She heard someone knocked at the door three times when a voice asked if he was awake at the same time, Quinn immediately stood up and opened the door, his father came up to him looking very nice awake, Quinn hugged him and greet him good morning. It was such a good day as always, her dad roved at her and together they walked bound to the kitchen to eat breakfast. While inside their bed, her sister, Ivory, got immersed on doing nothing but just a dull brained dult on the seeling. She suddenly sat and still dult, looking at the door. After a while she stood up and organized her bed and went at their bathroom to brush her teeth, while down stairs their mom had a bad morning and cause her to shout at Quinn ln and saying bad things about her, her mom said that Quinn was lazy, idiot and brainless. Her mom didn't even saw Quinn studying so hard to reach her dream, nor seeing her doing chores for her mom. While Quinn's sister was going down hearing all those ridicules from her mom. Ivory, Quinn's sister came up asking a question "what's happening again?" All of them got silence for a second and then her mom started to shout again to say bad things to Ivory as well. Their mom Norah was not their real mom, their real mom died after Quinn born, their mom died due to lost of water and blood, while their dad, he used to protect his daughters but their his new wife looks like a boss and he knew she will forsake them and let them live outside homeless.
For me family is about relationships. Relationship is about love and affection, giving and receiving, respect and understanding, learning and helping, sharing and feeling, trust and confining, service and gratitude. It is about giving and receiving moral support in times of challenge. It is about sharing a joy, a joy which has no meaning in solitude.
Most of us, teenagers, having mistakes of not giving valuable or importance to our family. Sometimes, we get mad at them for some other reasons, but we should keep on our mind that life is too short. So while it is early, show them how you love them. Show them that you care for them. Don't waste the times, days, weeks, months and years that god gave you. Use it right now and use it correctly.
Our family is the most precious thing we have. The friends that we have today may not be our friends in the future, but our family. They will always be our family that will always be there for us through ups and downs and love us no matter what.
Family is priceless; no one could ever buy and it cannot be describe by a single word.
While getting ready for school inside their room, they used to talk about their real mom.
"Ivory?" Quinn started to ask question.
"Yes baby?" As Ivory replied.
"How does mama look like?"
Ivory suddenly stopped brushing her hair and looked at Quinn at the mirror. He turned herself to Quinn and she holds her cheeks.
"Quinn, mama looked just like you, how cute you are is how beautiful is our mama" Ivory answered the sad question from Quinn.
"Well, is she a good mom? Not like mommy Norah?" Quinn asked once again.
"Of course baby girl she is, and she gave birth to a child who was good as her"
"I wish I could hug mama like you did"
Ivory simply leaned through Quinn and hugged her tight.
in fact, to live without a mother caring for a child is a very difficult life that a child has to go through.
A sad, lonely and broken daughter finding it hard losing a mother who had been my source of strength, guide and light. Life was once simple and happy
Days and nights shared with you and me.
Joys and struggles together
Surpassed by faith through the years.
But...mornings are different now.
No cuppa' coffee and breakfast together
While we breath and say thanks
To another beautiful day. Fate changed and went so fast.
You struggled in pain and tears...
Held on to faith and made a good fight.
Gone just the same and never to be back. Brave as i was but not until you were gone.
I cry day and night with so much sadness and tears.
Never had i imagine a life like this so broken.
Pain of missing you lingers like forever.
Sleep well in heaven dear Mom. They thought they was strong enough, lived a life independently since my parents broke off when Ivory was very young at 6. At those time when broken families are not too many, they where sure it wouldn't be easy living a life without a mother to take care of Ivory and her younger sister. They grew up with their Dad, while their mom had to leave and mend her broken self, for personal reasons their Dad and his folks have caused, us children have to endure. Still thankful tho'.
Life is good but not always that easy. We need to be brave and strong to weather any storm.
Remember, sun shines out after the darkness and rain. Faith brings hope and light us the way. Ms. Universe 2019 - Catriona Gray once shared this inspirational saying, "...at the end of every dark clouds, there is always a silver lining." They believed in that too. They just wish it would be soon, so they won't have to miss her everyday.
