Chapter 4 The retreat

Chess POV

Ugh!why the heck is this place so rowdy, I muttered as I was trying to pass through all the jumbled up sweaty teenagers I really hate school..... 'Chess!my man!' I was crushed by one of my fellow player on the basketball team,what the heck... 'yo man,what the heck get off me Erkan' I said slightly pushing him 'sorry man I was just so fucking excited because of u....' the bell rang before he could finish he left to his class leaving me wondering what in the world was he trying to say . Let's just say I ain't really in a good mood today. I'm on edge & everything seems to irritate me .God! I feel like a girl on her period,I ran my hand over my hair & walked to class .......'just the guy we were waiting for' Mr hillyson my coach held me by my shoulder & walked me into class grinning ok what is really going on,I was so confused now .... 'you chess are really the starrrrr of this school my son' he said smiling 'I know you re confused' he chuckled... 'The Retreat you all know we were supposed to have last year was cancelled as a result of funds ,but guess what , this year it is fully funded for a whole week , we get to enjoyyyy!!! ' he smiled '& it's all because of u son,your amazing performance in the last basketball game that got us the championship, impressed the board & they agreed to fund!' he said hugging me I heard whistled & claps.. *Chess!Chess!Chess!* the whole class was so happy,wow! 'i didn't even think my performance last week would lead to this ,heck I didn't even take it as a personal thing,I did it for the team coach' I said shocked. 'Chess,u really did well,I'm proud of you boy' Coach said smiling as he walked out . That got me a bit emotional,I can't remember when last somebody told me they were proud of me . My dad ..well he wasn't even around to say it,the asshole.... & my mom ? , drowning herself in alcohol , hardly even remembers she has a son,I quickly comported myself 'Man!we re gonna ve so much funnn!' Daniel said as he slung his arm over my shoulders I chuckled 'yea'......... *******

Lisa POV

'Oh my God!!!!!!!' Gwen screamed in my face for probably the fifth time!!! Eish!! 'What the heck Gwen ,quit screaming & just tell me already' I said & looked over to Iris for help but she was lost in her own world grinning ... 'sorry sorry I'm just so fucking happy! . The retreat is being brought back & it's all because of Chess ,he really is charming' she said twirling slightly I was so confused,what in the world is going on 'retreat?'I asked confused ..... 'oh sorry Lisa ,we forgot ,before you came last year ,we were supposed to go on a retreat,but was cancelled because of funding but this year the school is supporting & they are funding it for a whole week because of Chess amazing performance in the last Basketball game that brought us the championship!' Iris explained grinning .... ' Wow,I guess Chess is really the star of the school' I said 'oh my God we ve so much to pack ,you re coming right?' Gwen asked me 'nah,anything that has to do with Chess isn't really my thing plus he's just gonna make it a living hell for me anyways' I said 'oh come on Lis!,it's gonna be fun,it's not a chess thing ,it's the school funding it ..'Iris said 'because of him..'. I cut her off.... 'well Iris I guess we might just have to go with plan B then' Gwen said standing up & smiling sheepishly at me ..... 'what ,what plan B' I said confused .... 'well we re just gonna have to talk to ur mom' Gwen said picking her nails 'oh no ,you don't! ,What! You know if you tell my mom I don't wanna go,she's gonna make me go to summer benny's camp , I love her but that place is horrible' I said gagging I really hated that place 'Well ,you have no choice than to go to the retreat then!' Iris said grinning 'ughh!!!!!!! , Fine fine,I ll go' I said slumping back on my chair 'yayyy!'Gwen squealed 'it's gonna be fun ,you ll see' Iris said smiling. ******

Chess POV

School is over,I'm currently at Danny's house . We are playing video games & I'm beating his ass 'seriously!you aren't even gonna pretend to let me win guy?' He said whining I grinned 'nope' ... 'ugh!i give up ,play with yourself then' he said glaring at me & leaning back on the sofa I laughed & took a canned soda from the fridge 'i thought Jackson was gonna be back this week ,I can't believe he's gonna miss the retreat' , I said a bit sad...... 'who said I was gonna miss it'... wait what ? i turned to the door,holy fuck!! 'Jackson!what the heck man ,why didn't u tell us you were coming today, what...' I said & turned to Danny to find him grinning like a goat oh!!they planned it 'seriously,I feel betrayed Dan' I Said fake glaring at them 'oh just come here u ass' Jackson said & pulled me in for a hug 'I missed u man'I said 'I want in the hug tooo' Danny whines like a baby snuggling in between us we all burst into laughter . Now the retreat is definitely gonna be soo fun,with my friends complete. ............
