"What about the men who spread the disease?" She asked calmly.
"We were only able to catch one, the others fled to different neighboring villages, I believe that La Muertè has abandoned them"
Lorraine sighed as she gives her judgement "Throw him into the dungeon after cutting off his fingers, make sure that he feels the pain, his family members should also pay the price as well, give the same punishment given to him to them.... And the others get some men to find their whereabouts"
There was total silence after that before she spoke again, "How many animals are dead?"
"Three thousand and....." Daniel was about completing the scores of animals killed when Dona interrupted.
Using her five fingers she said, "Stop! That's enough, get men, load the guns, it's time we pay a bloody visit to La Muertè"
Doña and her men set out to disturb the peace of the man who disturbed theirs.
Stepping into La Muerte unguarded doors, the Doña took out her gun and shot through the heart of the giant looking man at the main door, her eyes cold and she seems for more blood. When it comes to retribution, La Doña doesn't take it for granted as she makes sure everyone gets what they truly deserve, even death like she would put it had no chance on her.
"La Muertè!!! Come out and face me" her Spanish accent came out through her words as her fierce voice drawed the battle line. Her whole body was more than blood thirsty at this point.
She set out her gun, ready to shoot on sight at any of his men but none of them came out. "Doña... I don't think he around" Daniel said.
"He is, he is wants to wear me off first that is why he is stalling.... Everyone shoot at any valuables you see in the mansion, make three thousand of my animals count!" She ordered as her men ran savagely, raiding and destroying everything that was in plain sight that belongs to La Muertè.
Still there was no sign of him.
By the time the whole mansion was utterly destroyed and there was nothing else to break, Doña retired her while telling them they will be back tomorrow.
Each day passed and Doña made every of her visit with La Muertè counts, fine sculptures and great arts that was very much adored by the Don was ripped into pieces but still there was no sign of La Muertè.
Where was he? Was he hiding from Doña fury? No, that was hardly the case.... La Muertè has been busy seeking out the woman from the lake than having the time to care about a ferocious beast lurking in his mansion.
Ignore her, is what he believes though the level of things destroyed would've taken a toll on him but La Muertè cared less, they could all be bought but not a beauty like hers.
He was indeed enchanted by the woman he found in the lake, he still wanted a full of her once more, her sensitivity, the sheer of her skin and the sweet smell of her body, he just wanted that over again.
Again and again, La Doña retreated, she wasn't tired.... How can she be? She already vowed to make every count of her dead animals worth, not like each one of them had accounted to her fortune they were only a shield covering her shady business but just to show supremacy she wanted this.
Indeed the battle line had been drawn but only one is waiting at the warzone and the other sought for a woman that triggered every bit of him. While he loathes La Dona, La Muertè was enchanted by Lorraine, a dangerous game to behold for someone who is unaware of her identity, chaos was soon to befall him.
Nevertheless, the Dona desire for a rest after a week long busy day. She strutted through the wet grounds beside the lake and to calm herself had almost taken off her robe to step into the cold lake. She hated to recall what had happened here a week ago, especially from a man who was the reason for her unrest this week.
"Fancy seeing you here today, looked everywhere and you were nowhere to be found" Sebastian walked towards her, Lorraine was a bit stunned by the mice way he'd spoken to her, something La Muertè should pick from when he is speaking to La Doña.
She turned on her heels to leave since she was not interested in the man before her, a week long unrest was enough to let her know that. She looked for him everywhere but here he was searching for her in return, such an irony of life she thought.
"Leaving so soon, I thought you were going into the lake or isn't that why you are here in the first place.... Did I come in at a wrong time?" He laid his hands on her shoulders in a move to turn her face to him but she quickly shoved it away.
She kept on walking as fast as possible until she stopped in her tracks, realizing something before she turned to him and ask, "Do you love me?"
Sebastián stared at her wide-eyed as he saw no voice to speak. Was she in love with him already?
"I don't understand" he stammered recovering his voice to speak, "it was only one time we had...." He stopped before he ended up saying something awful to the woman he spent days, nights and a lot of emeralds looking for.
"It's a simple question, do you love me?" She asked again much to his hearing this time. Lorraine had a reason for asking him, not that she wanted his love but the believe that if she as La doña can't get a hold of him then Lorraine can, only his weak point was what she needed and she believed Lorraine was it.
She needed more information about him that weren't written in the books, a reason for why he was doing all of this as she smart enough to know it wasn't in any way related to the feud between her father and the late Don, this was beyond political.... It was personal.
