Chapter 5 End of A Relationship

Chapter 6 Wanting To Take Vacation

Chapter 7 Kidnapped

/ 1

Jerking my eyes open, I was in my bed my heart was racing and I wasn't sure what happened. It was a new dream and I was afraid to go back to sleep, I had only managed to get a couple of hours asleep and this was going to be a long night for me. I sighed.
Getting out of bed, I made some tea and sat at the computer, I wasn't sure what I could do now that I was fully awake. I thought about the dream, someone called to me to watch out and then I woke up, I wondered what happened. Maybe I should go back to sleep and see if something else happens, maybe I will get some answers or maybe more stress. I sighed again.
I signed on to my social media account, as soon as the page loaded my friend Marcie messaged me.
"Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" she quizzed.
"I was, but had a dream, and I don't know if I want to take a chance and have it repeat."
"Are you still having those weird dreams with the vampire?"
"Yeah, this one was different, but I woke up before I saw anything that makes sense. Just the forest this time, someone yelled 'watch out' and that was it I woke up."
"I wish I had your dreams, they seem interesting. Maybe we should make that trip to Salem like you wanted to," she questioned.
"I want to, but David seems to want to go to Vegas."
"Let him go with Brian I am sure they won't miss us." she joked. "Besides I think we need a girl's weekend and it would do you good to get away from that apartment. I have a feeling that has something to do with things."
"Na, remember I started to have them before we moved in together, but maybe I could convince David to go with Brian."
"I'll talk to Brian tonight I am sure we can convince them."
"Hopefully," I said sighing.
I figured David wasn't going to let me go anywhere without him even though he thought my dreams were just dreams. I wasn't scared to be alone, I felt like we needed some time to let ourselves out and he has been working two jobs trying to get his debt paid off. I help when I can, but with everything going on they've cut my hours, which is fine I need another job.
"I better go," she said. "Bye, I'll text you after I talk with Brian."
"Love you."
I surfed the internet for a while longer, but my body still wanted to sleep so I had no choice but to go back to bed, at least for a couple more hours. Closing my eyes, my heart was racing I did the breathing exercise my Doctor told me to do, they work and I felt myself drift to sleep.
Walking through a town, I was unfamiliar with, I kept walking the people around me didn't know I was there or cared.
"Nicholas we need to deal with the vampire he keeps taking girls into the forest." a man spoke.
The conversation piqued my interest, I wasn't sure if I was still dreaming or if this was some kind of vision, hell it didn't matter maybe they would give me some kind of information on where I am.
"Anabelle was the last one, we cannot afford anymore," he growled. "Please Nicholas let me and the men go into the forest and deal with this vampire."
"No, it'll only get you killed." the man said without looking at him. "You know just as much as I Anabelle is dead."
"I can't be too sure, he didn't seem to want to hurt her at least the last time we stopped him from taking her."
"Well she's gone now, and we are not going into the forest Daniel," he growled. "You already lost your wife to this blasphemy, I don't want to see you die too."
"I can't just sit here and wait for them to come back and gut our community," Daniel growled. "I'm going to the forest and I will be back," he growled rushing away from Nicholas.
"Bless your soul and he will devour you too," he said watching Daniel storm away. "The mountains are no man lands, rest in peace Daniel," he said before walking away from where I sat down.
My dream shifted to something else, I wasn't sure what I was seeing, well at least until the smoke cleared and they had Daniel the man from before tied to a stake.
"You've disobeyed us Daniel, and you are bringing the cursed ones back to us." a man growled. "We warned you not to go into the forest, you were unable to bring forth your daughter as a human, now she is a monster!"
"I wanted to bring my daughter to her senses, but you've murdered her!" he growled. "Do what you will, but your curses will follow you."
"Is that your confession Daniel?" he snapped lighting a torch, not waiting for him to answer. "I hereby convict you of witchcraft and aiding the vampires and their sinister plans to rape our women, and kill our community," he growled dropping the torch on the dried hay.
Closing my eyes, I opened them again I was in my bed. Grabbing my chest, I wasn't sure why it was affecting me with the whole deal. I didn't see him die, even though he was heading in that direction. I was more confused now that the dreams are changing, it's like they are trying to help me find this place if it is even a place. Again a dead end, and I was stuck awake, not even an hour later.
Rolling my eyes, I forced myself to get up and take a shower. I would take a walk tonight rather than sit and think about this. Now I was going crazy and there wasn't anything I could do to stop it. I wanted to run and hide, or cry out for help. But when I went for help, I was told this would become clear, but now I am lost.
Pulling myself together, I grabbed my stuff for tonight and headed to work. Thankfully there was a place near my work that I could escape from and wouldn't feel weird about being there. The only thing that I had to worry about were the coyotes, and even they were scared of me.
Getting to my job took me about twenty minutes and two fingernails chewed. I was on edge and hated this part of my life. But I'd forgotten my anxiety medicine, so I didn't have any choice but to deal with this now.
Getting out of my car I headed into the store to at least put my belongings away and to let them know I am around. After I stuffed my stuff in my locker I headed out the side door and down into the darkness. I knew going into the darkness was a bad idea, but with the way things have been, it was less scary.
