Chapter 5 She Called the Police

Leslie's expression was darkening, and there were traces of cold light in his eyes. "I advise you not to be impulsive. Otherwise, it will be you who will be blamed. Everyone will know that you acted slutty and had sex with another man before marriage. And it will be an honor for you that I am going to marry you regardless of that. People will feel sorry for me and think that you are nothing but a whore with a promiscuous private life. Thus, who do you think would want to marry you but for me?"

"You... "Ronnie looked at the man in shock.

What a despicable shameless man. How dare he try to take the shares she had and create public pressure to force her into marriage?

Serena put her arms around Leslie, leaning against his chest like a timid and lovable little woman, and said in a soft voice, "Don't blame Leslie. It wasn't easy for him to get to where he is today. Also, I'm already pregnant with his child. How can you let an innocent child bear all the blames? How can you bear to ruin the reputation of an innocent baby?"

What the hell?

Was she pregnant with Leslie's baby?

Ronnie stared at Leslie in disbelief, and he did not deny it.

Ronnie felt that her heart had been stabbed hard, and the pain was killing her.

Serena was already pregnant with Leslie's child, and they had just pretended that their relationship was innocent. Ridiculous!

Ronnie closed her eyes tightly, flames of fury surging up in her heart.

She was thinking, "Fine, since they're doing this to me, I will not make things easy for them as well."

Ronnie picked up her cell phone and pressed the alarm button so fast that she did not give Serena and Leslie time to react. "Hello, here is Room 606, Building 5 of the Jade Apartments on East Avenue. Some people are carrying out an inappropriate transaction..."

Leslie turned pale. Without hesitation, he snatched the phone and slammed it against the wall, breaking it into pieces.

Ronnie stumbled backward, and her back hit the wall so hard that she felt like her gut was about to shatter.

Her father used to beat her up when she was just a child and even once broken her libs. However, the pain she was suffering from at this moment was severer than any of those.

The man, who once claimed to protect her from the slightest harm, was trying to push her into an abyss with his hands.

Leslie was also slightly startled as if he did not mean to overexert.

Serena was quite nervous. If her affair with Leslie, a man who would soon become her brother-in-law, became known to the rest of the world via the police station, she would obviously be disgraced.

Serena said to Leslie apprehensively, "She has called the police. What are we going to do? Let's get out of here?"

As long as they left the scene, no one would believe whatever Ronnie would say.

Serena dragged Leslie towards the outside.

Ronnie rushed over to the front of them and said in a decisive tone of voice, "Don't leave!"

Serena roared, "Are you insane or what?"

Ronnie looked straight at Leslie. "You can either tell my father right now that you'll call off the engagement publicly, or you can wait for the police to come!"

When she got engaged to Leslie, Wilfred had invited celebrities from all walks of life to promote his company and held a huge party for all the media present. Therefore, everyone in town had known that she would become Leslie's wife.

If she wanted to regain her freedom without being judged by others, she had to cancel her engagement to Leslie openly.

Leslie frowned tightly. Was Ronnie that eager to break off her engagement to him? She was not a virgin. What made her unwilling to marry him?

Serena was also anxious. If they let Ronnie out of their grasp, all the plans behind would be scrapped.

They wanted to step on Ronnie to get into the rich's topmost circle. And how would Serena's elegance and nobility be set off without Ronnie's vulgarity and mess, the young lady of the Moore Group? Thus, they must not let Ronnie back into freedom!

Desperate to leave, Serena impulsively raised her hand in anger to slap Ronnie in the face, "Bitch. Let go."

Serena deliberately flexed her fingers, expecting her sharp nails to ruin the other woman's face and make her disliked by men.

Ronnie raised her arm to block the attack. After a sharp pain, three bloody streaks appeared on it instantly.
