Chapter 5 5

The rest the day passed quickly and quietly. Back at home I didn't have much more fight, except for that one, we're not talking about it or how my rib is hurting like hell.

The night were still cold, even when i tried to wrap myself with the blanket few times, I was still cold. The other kids made fun of me for going to the rich people school, we might live in a better looking area but they all go to public schools.

Mr. Peter gave us our personality test back, the feedback wasn't I'm going to marry Rihanna, it was throwing three people out of the class, they didn't have qualification for what the class offered. And seem like I do?

The nine of us that were left had bracelets given to us, some were blue and others black. I had a light blue one, another boy had a green one while the rest were black. We were asked to wear them all the time, no explanation just have them on you, even outside of school.

The bracelet, band, call it what you want had the school logo on it again, as if I needed more amo for the other kids to make fun of me.

I kept it hidden in my sweater, for some reason I didn't take it off, too afraid I'll be kicked out of this school. Even with all the strange class and me not belonging here they offered me the best chance into getting to college.

If anything, I'm smart, at lunch I just started to have the habit of watching the football team. All of them were ripped, giants looking, and hot AF. I had a crush on just, all of them, the captain who's name I learned to be Emilio, he's just something else.

I also knew they are all seniors, they have different lunch hour, that's fine by me since i get to watch a free show.

From a quick Google search I learned the school football team is going pro, the whole team, hand picked for a future football team, hence all the exceptions.

Today they were running laps, the coach definitely didn't take it easy on them. After that he made them run up and down the bleachers, they had to pass by me on their way up and down.

And man was that a special treat , the guys ran up and down, I sneezed couple times and had to wipe my nose with my sweater arm, okay not the best hygiene. The guy passing by me stopped for a minute when he heard the sneeze, he looked at me and saw the blue band.

He was about to say something when the coach voice rang through the field "No resting Caden"

This must be Caden, he's one of my many crushes in the team, with dark brown curly hair and piercing green eyes. He looked at me and nodded to himself like he just took an important desicion before keeping on with the run.

Their practice was almost over as was the lunch hour, I gathered my stuff and was ready to leave when Caden walked straight toward me, just in time for another sneeze.

"Hey little guy" he called and I looked around, I was alone, was he talking to me.

I pointed toward my self asking the obvious question, you talking to me?

"Yes you blue band" he says, what does the band have to do with anything.

He saw my confusion and showed me a black one around his hand well this is weird, I still don't have a clue what they mean.

"You're mommy or daddy are letting you sit out here in the cold?" Caden asks.

"My mommy and daddy abandoned me sixteen years ago" I say between gritted teeth.

"That's not what I meant" he says with a sigh.

"Come on little guy, let's get you taken care of" he says and take my hand.

Who does he think he is, just because he's older and stronger then me doesn't mean he can just pull me around. I trash and fight in his arms, the aim was to hit him but he's way too strong to even feel my punches, my hand still hurt from last time and my rib must be bruised. This was causing me more pain then him.

"Okay okay calm down little man" he says finally letting my hand go.

I was breathing hard from all my pain and we had the attention of the whole football team and their coach.

"Caden and friend come here now" the coach yelled making me freeze, shit what if he ban me from watching the team practice, here goes my one and only entertainment.

"Explain" he tell Caden once we're standing in front of him.

"He's blue band sir and sick" that was Caden only explanations, really that explains nothing. The whole team was looking at me now, just great.

The coach looked between me and Caden, then back to the rest of the team before speaking in his loud voice.

"Caden and Emilio get him to the nurse" he says.

Wait what!! I don't need a nurse, Caden tried holding a hand out for me but I just glared at him.

"Listen, just let us take you to the nurse office and be over with it okay?" this time it was Emilio who talked

I nod my head but don't take their offered hands, I walk to the nurse office on my own.
