Chapter 5 The ttack

The hydrofoilferry was ruined, but they managed to find each a satchel and a weapon bag.

"Who in TARNATION keeps heavily armed weapon on the ship" Olivia asked

"Stop asking questions and fill the guns" Erin ordered and handed her on no assault riffle. She shrieked a little.

"What"

"I-I-I have never " she stammered and gulped hard "Held a gun in my life " Frankie looked at her as of she had gone loco.

"Let me have that" Frankie said and took the gun.

"In other to fill it you have to...." Erin began but Frankie had already filled it and set it"wow"

"I handled a gun when I was fourteen" Frankie smirked

" I used to go hunting with my dad back at Texas "

" Why did you leave "Erin asked

" We couldn't support our when he passed away"

"I'm sorry" Olivia said

"Thanks,we're is sam."Frankie looked around.

" Guys" Sam called from the other room . They all ran to the control room and found Sam beside him .

The pilot was hurt, a piece of metal pierced through his shoulder.

" Oh my god"Betty murmured. Olivia puked

"What are we going to do " Erin dashed out of the room and raced to the kitchen the kitchen was a mess but he managed to get a knife and the cooker was still working he turned it on and placed the knife on it until it was red hot he took a first aid kit still hanging on the wall and a wooden spoon and ran back to the room.

"Jesus what are you doing " Sam yelled.

"I need to culturize his injury are you helping." Erin said

" Nah not me "Sam interjected cynically" I'm traumatophobic"

" Betty "

" Sorry Erin"Betty said " same as Sam".Erin sighed

" Olivia"

" Me ,I can't handle a gun I puked when I saw the injury,and that the reason I'm trying to avoid medical school" Olivia said

" I'll do it"Frankie said and put her hand on the piece of metal.

" You might what to bite down to this " she said and put the wooden spoon in his mouth.

" Ready on my mark one ,two ,three...now"

Erin pulled out the metal and the pilot screamed as Frankie culterized the wound .

Erin smiled" That's bad ass"

"Yeah" Frankie laughed.

The pilot and the not so lucky winners set off to the strange and mysterious jungle. Everything seemed strange they were flower that they've never seen before,tall trees like duplex . Monkey with for arms and are blue with no fur.

"What is this place?" Olivia asked

"Why don't you ask the blue monkeys they seem friendly" Betty said .

"How do you suppose we protect ourselves" Sam asked.

" That's easy " Frankie said and called out what she pointed on the assault rifle " The hand,trigger, bullets,just aim and pull the trigger"

"Babe, I grew up in Hawaii and there wasn't much hunting" Betty said " And I also didn't take martial arts class like Erin"

"How did you---" Erin began

"You are brawny and I read your Facebook page" said Betty "I want to go home"

"So do all of us but nobody's going anywhere until we find our way out of this island first" The pilot lewis said

"Stop" Erin ordered

"What " Frankie said Erin squatted and saw ant moving beside a purple substance. It looked like mud.

"Uh hello Sherlock Holmes" Sam called

"You guys see this" Erin said

"What am I looking at " Sam said peering are the purple mud .

"Their not passing the mud" Frankie took a stick and threw it . It caught on fire immediately and everyone gasped

"Watch your step, we are on a mysterious island" Erin announced "let's get moving"

They resumed there walk passing strange trees and plants.

"Ugh, I'm tired " Betty added it was getting late.

"We need to camp here for tonight and I'll fetch something to eat " said Erin and he went deep into the wood alone . Betty looked at Frankie who found some dry wood nearby and began setting them to build a fire, she found some stones and some dry leaves and began hitting the stones together.

"I can't believe Erin isn't scared to go out in the woods all alone after seeing the fire mud and that ugly creature that tried to kill you"said Betty

" Nope that's the thing I like about him"said Frankie after the fire came out Betty wanted to talk but she shut her mouth. Frankie looked at her in bewilderment.

" What"she enquired

" You like Erin "Betty said with excitement

" No, I don't I just like the way he's fearless that's all"said Frankie

" Could you two please shut up"Sam

exclaimed " my stomach is having world war three and you busy talking about someone who went to get us food "

" But seriously just admit it he saved your life you must have feelings for him" sam added

" I don't ---" Frankie began but stopped when they heard a gun shot they all stood up and found Erin coming back with one of those blue monkeys they saw earlier .

" Dinner"he said and dumped it in front of them, they roasted it and he then devided. It into six pieces they all sat down and ate except Olivia she was staring at hers in an odd and strange way.

" Olivia come on you got to eat something"Sam said to her offering her a blue skinny roasted monkey .

" Am good "she smiled

" You know your body can a long time with out food but if it doesn't get water it'll die . And you haven't drank water for six hour and you haven't eaten any thing either. So as an adult I insist" Olivia had no other choice but to taste it and to her surprise it tasted good.

" Hmm it taste like Barbecue"

"No it doesn't"Frankie said

" Absolutely not"Erin agreed

"Nope" Betty said. Their was a long silence before Betty broke it .

"So captain lewis, do you have any idea on how we're going to get home?" She asked

" No but kids Soon your going to face the facts that their is no way home"lewis informed them.

" No their is there has to be some one will come " Olivia said

"Am sorry Olivia but-----" Sam said slowly"lewis is right"

"No he's not " Erin stood up"I'm with Olivia on this one she is right we have to do something"

"Guys" Betty called with her head up and picked her bag really slowly." Are panthers huge? "

" Yeah, they are." Olivia answered looking at Betty as if she had lost her mind

"Huhn. Ok. Uh. We gotta run." Betty said standing up and picking her bag. " This might be a panther territory cuz ... they don't look to happy that we didn't invite them for dinner." She gulped. " And now we are the dinner "

Dozens of panthers jumped down from the large tree branches, growling ferociously and showcasing their large sharp canines.

Sam felt like he would die at the spot. He took one look at the teeth and gasped." Well they sure look hungry, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!"

Everyone took to their heels, running through the forest like there wasn't tomorrow. Well, there would literally not be any tomorrow if they didn't escape the panthers. Sam scared for his life, turned back to see the panthers at their tail until he realized. . .

"Hey guys, they don't really look like panthers!!!!!" Sam screamed, his pulse beating erratically. The panthers attacked them from the side, behind and from above." God why is everything in this island trying to eat us "

Betty took action attacking a panther from above, that had jumped, ready to attack Olivia.

"Olivia get your head straight." Sam yelled at her. They were almost out of the territory just across the purple mud, when one of the panther finally caught Frankie in it's grasp. Frankie screamed in fright shouting for help.

One more second and she would have been panther chow if Erin hadn't rescued her. Again, hitting the panther hard with his assault rifle, pushing it off her.

Terror fogged in her brain as they thought they weren't going to escape the panthers. Reality woke her from her reverie as she resumed her frightened running.

One panther landed on Erin although Sam was right they didn't look like panthers it had bones all over the body . He tried his best to to hold it at arms length.

"Erin !!" Frankie screamed. He permitted a glance at Frankie and regretted it . The panther stroke him with his powerful claws and Erin screamed in tremendous pain "Erin " Betty shouted

"Frankie......run" Erin ordered with out a secound though Olivia ran while Sam shot some of them about to pounce on Erin but more were still coming Frankie was dragged by lewis and Betty .

"We have to go back" Frankie yelled

"We can't if we do we'll all die ,his gone we have to go" Betty told her sternly. The pilot carried Frankie on his shoulder and ran as she punched , kicked and swears at him . Meanwhile as Erin struggled with the panther he took out his swiss army knife and sliced it's artilary.

"Jesus what the fuck are this things" he said he managed to crawl to his gun and took it . Just in time to shoot the other panthers. The gunshot were heard from afar . Erin was badly wounded one of the panther bit through his leg and clawed his chest . Multiple bruises . The only part of his body still fresh was his face . Desperately he climbed a tree and took of his jacket, tied it to his bite and closed his eyes to rest.
