Chapter 5 The witches

I felt pissed off "I will see you some other time Drake" I said storming out of the classroom.

Drake watched me smiling proudly from ear to ear with his hands deep in his pockets.

I met my friends outside, they have been waiting for me.

"Did you get to talk to him?" Grace asked throwing her hand across my shoulders looking at my face.

Lora's eyes were also on me as we walked.

I shook my head "I didn't, he was talking to the new girl."

Lora noticed I was unhappy "don't worry tomorrow is still another day" she said trying to cheer me up.

I nodded trying to get it all out of my mind "besides who the hell is he to steal my happiness?" I thought heading outside with my friends.

I smiled at the sight of my red benz CLA, I was the only one who owned a red car in school and this made me stand out.

Coming to school the next day after my birthday party which my friends couldn't attend because it was a wolf party, well I didn't give them that sort of excuse, I cooked up a good lie and made it up to them the next day.

We celebrated my new ride and their joy was over the roof.

Here in school people consider me to come from a very rich family and they all wanted to be my friend, everything I made use of was very expensive and of course I do come from a wealthy family, I am royalty and an alpha.

The way I carry myself, talk and behave even makes the boys want me more but then, being betrothed to Kayne was a huge limitation to dating in school, I kept saying no to all the boys and some just believed I might be gay but here I am planning on talking to a guy tomorrow, life is funny isn't it?

I gave my friends a ride home since they had no car, it was always the routine for me.

While driving home, I was playing a loud hip pop music nodding my head to it's rhythm, I was trying to get the thoughts of Alexander out of my head but that wasn't so easy since the thought of how fascinating he looks couldn't get off my head, I couldn't deny the fact that I was crushing on him.

I noticed a black Lamborghini following me from my side mirror, I recall seeing the car parked behind me when I dropped Grace off at her house and also when I dropped Lora off.

"Who the hell is that?" I thought slowing down trying to see if the car would pass but it didn't, my eyes fluttered at the cleverness of the driver but I'm glad I was observant, my father would always say "be as wise as the serpent or you will get yourself killed."

I nodded my head "I'm being followed, interesting!"

I increased the volume of the music and also my speed driving faster than I have ever done.

I took a "U" turn changing the gear. I took a glance behind and noticed that the car was driving faster now "we would see about that baby!" I mumbled smiling to my self.

It was time to disappear like I have always done, I chanted few words that I barely knew their meaning just like my mum had taught me and my car varnished from the road appearing close to the mansion.

"No one must know where you live neither can anyone be able to find us here" my mother had once told me.

"Home sweet home.." I muttered with my hand on the steering while the other turned down the volume of my radio, my father hated hip pop so I don't want him yelling at me in front of all these betas and omega who were also part of our pack.

I parked my car in the garage, I got down and headed into the mansion with my school bag on my back.

"You're home..." My mother said on seeing me.

She was always the first and only one to welcome me after school, my father had no time for such moments, most times I wonder if I truly knew who my father was.

I smiled "yes I'm home mother" I answered giving her a soft hug.

"Where is father?" I asked taking a glance around not really that I cared to know where he was but I just wanted to mind the way I speak so he doesn't end up scolding me loudly and reminding me about the rules of the werewolves like akways, I was sick of hearing it.

"Out in the woods with half of the pack" she answered looking at my face.

I looked away.

"Is everything okay Yvonne?" My mother asked sitting on the couch.

"Father Bosco was in school today, another witch was caught" I informed.

She shrugged "I'm really impressed by this father Bosco of a man, he is taking them all down."

I sighed sitting opposite her "only the black witches, I once heard the witches discuss that a white witch elder still lives but hides in an unknown body, a strong witch."

My mother smiled "it's unfortunate that father Bosco started with the innocent ones."

"I think he is going too far, they didn't make themselves witches, some of them were born that way, they don't deserve this" I said supporting my jaw with my hand.

My mother nodded "some of them do deserve it my child but it's not your burden to bear" she stood to her feet.

"Why don't you go upstairs and have your shower, I would have Esther make you lunch" she walked away.

Esther was our cook and also a wolf, she was an omega.

In every wolf pack, there are grades and everyone knows exactly were they belong but the supreme of them all remains the alpha that's why we have them serving us.

"Okay mother" I answered heading up to my room.

While I climbed the staircase the thought of what had happened earlier flashed my mind, the car that followed me "I should tell mother about this" I thought turning.

"Did you actually turn because you saw me?" Kayne asked walking closer to me.

I turned around, I was surprised to see him upstairs "what are you doing here?"

He shrugged "don't I have a right to visit my mate whenever I like?"

I scoffed, I just hated his guts "were you in my bedroom?" I asked hoping my guess was wrong.

He smiled walking closer to me, he placed his hands behind my neck "do you have a problem with that my beloved? I wouldn't be so nervous if you were to go to my bedroom too, infact I will be glad that you did me the honour."

I walked past him without saying another word, he followed me.

I decided not to bother telling my mother about the car following me earlier, I didn't think it was necessary besides, Kayne was around which got me frowning.

I dropped my bag on my reading desk and turned to him, he was standing right behind me.

"Kayne, am I the only one that think you are weird sometimes?" I asked staring him right at the face.

"Yes you are and I will advice you quite thinking that way of your handsome mate" he said raising a brow.

"I see..." I nodded turning around to unpack my school bag.

"How was school today?" He asked walking closer behind me.

"It was okay..." I answered smiling.

"I heard witches are presently on the run there huh?"

I turned around and chortled "so it seems, you know, I would really prefer that you give me some privacy now, I need a whole lot of rest."

"Sure... whatever you want my queen" he walked closer to me wrapping his arms around my waist and placed a kiss on my neck "see you at lunch" he whispered heading out.

I ran to my door at once and shut it "He is really pissing me off" I mumbled heading back to my bed.

I lay on my back looking up, my face broke into a deep smile, the thought of Alexander came crashing back into my mind "I will talk to him tomorrow at school" I mumbled smiling.

Few hours later...

Susan stormed into the science laboratory with Helen looking frustrated.

Lucy, Martha and Geraldine were sitting in a round table with their chins up.

"You're late..." Lucy fired at them looking furious, she was a teacher in the school and also a witch, her eyes flashed with flames of fire when ever she gets upset, she was powerful and have lived for centuries.

Susan and Helen looked away "we are sorry Lucy" Susan said bowing her head.

"You better be" she snapped looking straight into their eyes throwing her blonde hairs behind her ears.

She was the oldest of them all, a middle aged woman with a skinny body.

"This isn't working at all, Lucy and Geraldine, you both are the remaining elders of the black witches and the oldest of all, how many more does Father Bosco have to kill before you do something?" Susan asked in anger.

"I was meaning to ask the same thing, he succeeded in wiping the white witches off the surface of this earth leaving one of the elders hiding only God knows where" Martha said sadly, she was a dark skinned girl with beautiful white eyes and bob dark hairs which perfectly suits her baby face.

Helen scoffed "at least he helped us get rid of those bitches, they were becoming a pain in the ass."

Susan and Martha laughed.

"Martha, and you think we haven't been working on the safety of everyone in this coven?" Geraldine asked standing to her feet, she was the tallest of all the witches in the room, middle aged and average heighted with red short hairs, she was also a teacher in the school, she has lived for centuries just like Lucy.
