Chapter 10 Nineth

⚜️ "We're going to be late!" Hunters voice echoed in the room just as i finished tying the laces of my black combat boots. Looking up starting at his all black Nikes, to the trousers held up with a leather belt, a turtleneck tucked underneath, my eyes wondered to his face only to notice him checking me out as well. Clad in all black -as I usually do for events like tonight's- starting with the figure hugging halter neck cropped top, with the leather jacket above and ending with the high-waist cargo pants.

His eyes darted to mine as I stood, a smirk forming on my red painted lips making him clear his throat as red tinged his ears. "Ready?" Instead of properly answering my question, he only nodded in the direction of the garage before starting on his track there The short trip soon ended and the next thing you know he was gesturing for me to choose my ride, and I did not hesitate to take the the Ninjas keys making him smirked before tossing a helmet my way helmet. Unlike my my fire-truck-red MTT Y2K Turbine superbike, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R was a matte black with glossy black for highlights. He opened the door to his car, and stood there for a second looking at me putting the helmet on before fastening it in place, "Common they're waiting for us outside" he said before getting in his car, opening the garage door and letting me lead. It didn't take us long as we raced to the meeting spot, three cars and four bikes already being there, waiting for us. With a quick check out I noticed that just like us, there are ten people, five girls by five guys, spread out such that two girls and two guys were perched on their bikes while the rest were in the cars. We parked facing them, but unlike their two bikes, three cars, two bikes semi-circle, Hunter and I parked next to each other while the rest semi-circled behind us; just in case someone tried to sneak from the back. A guy around our age with dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes came out of a black and blue sports car, he was wearing black jeans, a blue T-shirt, a black leather jacket and some blue converse, and the fact is, not just anyone can pull off a leather jacket, this dude was a prime example. He headed towards us, completely ignoring Hunter as he took my hand in his kissing it, and when his lips lingered there I snatched it disgust taking over me, yet I forced my face to stay as it is, fighting the glare that wanted to shoot his way "You must be the Devils Angel." his smirk never leaving his lips, well his attempt at it at least. "And you are?" I adapted a bored tone as I analyzed his gang, the injuries that would be sustained if a fight broke out, confident that my group would be the one walking out unscathed except for maybe a broken nose, a black eye or a split lip "Zack Leo" he said confidence radiating off him in waves "Lets get this over with" Hunter grumbled earning a hum of approval from me "The money?" My tone still as bored "The knives and guns?" he imitated my question "lets not forget the weed." My response was a nod making Kayle and Drew bring out the knives and guns, each in separate cases, while Chris got the weed. "The money?" I asked again this time slightly more forceful, but nevertheless he motioned for one of his followers to bring the money "Heres the money " he said making me smirk On cue, SJ walks over with the bill counter which detects counterfeit bills at the same time. "Do you think I'm crazy? I won't give you the money" crossing his arms over his chest and narrowing his eyes made him the slightest bit intimidating, but considering the people Ive dealt with before, he needs a lot more to scare me "Don't worry, I won't take it." I took the machine from SJ and walked over to their side placing it on the bonnet of the hot pink sports car, the girl in the driver's seat practically jumping out as a screech escaped her lips "If that thing leaves a scratch on my car I will make you regret being born whôre!" With an easy going grin I looked up at the bottle-blonde, her nails should be called claws, her figure too skinny and fragile making it obvious that she wouldn't know what an uppercut is until it rattled her teeth, "another word and it's not the only thing that I'll be scratching" "Evelyn." The warning in Zack's voice was loud and clear It was easy to figure out the password of the case I had snatched on my way, "H-how did you do that?" Zack asked his eyes wide "Don't act so shocked, it was child's play" was all i said before taking out the first stack of hundreds, "Tsk tsk tsk" I shook my head as the counter beeped making it clear that the money was counterfeited, "now we could do this the easy way or the hard way.." as I spoke I made my way over to the girl, standing next to her and letting my fingers weave through her surprisingly soft hair "where's the money?" My question was clearly directed to zack but my attention stayed on the girl "You have it." He said stubbornly making me lat out a tired sigh "The hard way it is." I said swiftly taking out my gun from its holster as I stood behind the blondie, my left arm across her clavicles holding her in place as I jammed the metal into the side of her head, not too forceful, but to a degree that got my point across. "Should I repeat again?" fear crossed his features but he shook his head "Don't make me repeat Zack" seriousness had taken over my features, the barrel of my gun jammed into the girl's forehead as I cocked it making fear spread over his features like wildfire. When he didn't answer I shot the first guy who had brought the briefcase, it had happened so fast that no one had time to react, next went one of the girls occupying a bike, noticing one of the guys trying to stealthily get to his gun, but he was too late, my own group had their guns out, pointing but not shooting, making the guy stop in his tracks. My gun was back in it original position, against the girls forehead, my eyes focusing on Zack again, an eyebrow raised "I don't have all day. And I'm starting to get bored." I let a smile stretch across my face, a smile that would make the devil proud. "Tick - Tock..." It was a whisper but it was loud and clear. "The yellow car" he gritted the words out, yet my grip still didn't loosen as I motion for maya to check. As soon as she found the case she brought it and started to check the money. "Full amount, not counterfeited." She said after the last dollar was out of the machine. I gave Maya a nod, who returned it before taking the case to our side, no one even trying to stop her. I removed myself from the girl, slowly and infuriatingly walking over to where Zack stood, "Give him the guns and knives." I said glancing at kay and Drew who started moving, yet as Chris moved to follow them I stopped him. "No marijuana, they don't deserve it" although he didn't show it, I knew that he was surprised at my words. With a swift nod he took the case of drugs and went back to his car. The smile of my face was something that made the blue eyed boy in front of me grit his teeth, knowing that I had killed two of his and got my money while he couldn't get his drugs must be killing him, but what could he do about it? "Good doing work with you. Quick piece of advice, don't try playing games with me again, you wont like the consequences." I words dripped with warning, a promise that I wouldn't go back on, and he knew it as he took my waiting hand in his, the firmness of our handshake making his grit his teeth, gone was the fear in it's place was pure hate; something I fed on. With everyone back in their cars and on their bikes, while the other side still stood in place either fear or grief stricken, I got on m-Hunters bike and put on the helmet before turning the engine on and taking off with the rest. After getting away from the exchange area we started racing each other, even as we got on the highway and although those who rode motorcycles had the advantage of swerving around and squeezing between cars we still went on as if it way the real deal, not minding the horns and swear words directed at us. We all headed to my dad's house, finding him and hunters dad waiting for us already. "Daddy!" I squealed running up the stairs and over to him before throwing my arms around his body in a hug "How many?" he asked not even bothering to hug me back, his face stern as he made me take a step away "Ohh how you know me so well dad!" I said an innocent smile stretching across my lips. He just raised an eyebrow not loosing the seriousness of his face making me sigh "Two. But!" I practically screamed the word a disappointment took over his features. "But, they gave us counterfeit money, and you know how much I hate frauds." I mumbled the last part like a child going through disappointment as my father nodded in response after a second. Suddenly I remembered something that made me narrow at my eyes at my father, which in return had him look at me suspiciously. "You knew Eleven was coming, you knew he was alive, and you still didn't tell me." The calmness in my voice wasn't fooling anyone as the threatening undertone was clear, the anger begging to make its way to the surface, "Ahh, About that... Eleven wanted it to be a surprise??" It came out more like a question as he let out a nervous chuckle, scratching the back of his neck "Dad, I just told you I hate liars! I'm pretty sure you don't even need me to say it, you raised me, you know the loathing I hold for the scumbags!" I sighed disappointedly "Young lady, I'm your dad!" he said in a serious tone "In business? There is no such thing as family or friends." I told him heading towards Hunter since he had acquired the case from Maya "Your daughter is indeed intelligent. We're lucky to have her joining the family." Mr. Alfredos voiced with a humorous tone "Not yet Mr. Alfredo" I said a smile directed his way as i snatched the case from his sons hands. Seconds later I had the case laid on the table, the code punched in making it open with a faint popping sound before taking out half of the amount and handing it to my father before closing the case and giving it to Mr. Alfredo. "Your Marijuana is with Chris." I said leaning my shoulder against a near wall making Mr. Alfredo give me a confused look. Father knew though, which is why he explained to the confused leader after I gave a shrug as a response. "It's her way of teaching them a lesson. Someone tries to pull a stunt, they only get half the order, they still give up a full payment." Mr. Alfredo gave an understanding nod, directing a proud smile my way making me nod in answer. "Come on guys, let's give you your share" dad said nodding in the direction of the dining room for us to follow him. Although dad paid for everyones houses, he still give each their share with every deal sealed. We ended up spending most of the day at my fathers house, nostalgia had me in it's grip as I watched my old man cooking lunch for us, Mr. Alfredo choosing the wine, the guys were joking around with each other, and Hunter lost in his own world. By the time we left the sun was ready to set, and I was ready to take a nap. Thus the long relaxing hot shower that I took as soon as Hunter and I got home. I put on my red lace matching set before donning the black mini, side slit, spaghetti strap bodycon. I let my hair dry naturally, my makeup minimal with a swipe of red across my lips. And just before i left my room I put on my new Giuseppe Zanotti black suede cruel evening sandal heels. Hunter came out of his room, gray sweatpants riding low on his hips, his hair dripping wetas he ruffled a towel through the dark strands, lines of water making his chest glisten, the drops disappearing at the boxers waist band. His head snapped up at the click of my heels, his eyes darkening as they trailed over my body leaving a trail of lava in his wake, "You're going out?" The huskiness of his voice sent a shiver down my spine. "No. I just like to sleep in heels and dresses." The sarcasm dripped from the words, my agitation clear as day "We need to talk." He started, his jaw clenching, anger clouding his eyes. "We haven't talked ever since Eleven came." "Well Hunter, dear, it's you who has been ignoring me." I bit out, trying and succeeding in reining the anger in. Three days might not be much for some, but for two grown individuals, living together, shoved to act on an arranged marriage, we should be more mature, and by we I mean him. He needs to be more mature and just tell me what the hell is bothering him. "Do you love him?" His voice was low and restrained, his eyes were lowered, looking at the floor as if it's the most interesting thing in the universe, hands clenched so hard i could see his knuckles turn white from where i stood. I was taken aback, surprised by the emotion he tried to hide, as if the thought hurt him, as if the words were hot lava burning him from the inside. "Him?" "Don't act stupid now Maria. Eleven. Do you love him?" His ears were red, the vein in his neck stretching his skin, eyes blazing with a fire so wild it had me taking a step back. Eleven and I have always had this flirty relationship, and he was someone who I grew up with, so our hugs tend to be long, his protectiveness would had made people mistaking us as a couple before as he'd throw his arm around my shoulder, or stay next to me. But that was it, it was a mistaken assumption, I could never view him romantically, maybe because I knew too much about him, maybe because we took baths together as kids, maybe because I've always viewed him as the brother I never had, but that was it. "No! Why?! In the the name of everything holy! Why would you think that?" "Because you fûcking act like it!"He's making me want to punch that pretty face of his "I act like it? Why? Because I laugh at his jokes and let him hug me? Are you daft? Are you really that stupid?" "Don't fûcking call me stupid Maria! You flirt with him all the fûcking time, you're always checking to make sure he's around, you've been going out with him every night since he came, hell! You even look at him with adoration." His words were meant as blows, but I refused to back down "You know what? Even if I did love him, why would it matter to you?" The question dripped with underlying anger, it was meant to be a poisonous snake slithering it's way straight to his heart, and it executed its job perfectly. His eyes widened, the red which had colored his ears and neck washed away, his hands unclenching the towel that was once in his hand dropped to the floor with a faint thud, "Spit it out Hunter. I don't have all night" It was my turn now, and I wanted to know what his answer would be, I needed it. "Because it makes me angry." I crossed my arms over my chest not saying a word as I looked at him, waiting for him to continue, to look me in the eye. "Why, Hunter? Why would it make you angry?" "BECAUSE," he yelled frustrated, finally letting his eyes meet mine "because it makes me jealous." ⚜️
