Chapter 2 New King, New Law

The horrible screams made me worried.

That was the first thing that made me wake up. As I was in the chamber nearest to the palace hall, I could hear everything outside.

It seemed that there were enemies within the palace.

I won't wait to break the door if you don't open it, a man's voice came.

It's better to surrender to the Waladian Kingdom rather than dying like your parents.

That made me angry when I got to know that they killed my parents. I went to take my swords and was ready to fight.

I jumped into the battleground and started fighting.

Fighting with men, I saw Daniel.

And the enemy took advantage of this situation and attacked with a sword cutting my arm and face.

Soon Daniel noticed that I was fighting. He told me to remain in my room until the fight was over while looking at my wounds.

I went back to the chamber with some guards, as Daniel said.

Around midnight, everything was silent again, which was clearly that either all were dead or fled back to their kingdom from the battleground, losing the fight.

But those enemies left the deepest scar on the whole nation within a short period killing the king and queen.

Everyone was sad when they heard about heartbreaking news.

King was very kind and never made any wrong decisions and always respected everyone without any discrimination.

Seeing my parents lifeless, I regret being angry at them unnecessarily.

Tears streamed down my cheeks. Sorry, Father, for being so stubborn and mother, you promised to make arrangements for my birthday.

As of now, the law is in effect, and if they can't, they should pay extra tax.
