Chapter 3 THE AWKWARD HELP

The doctor left to his office and Olivia followed him immediately, she was shivering and her heart beat increased

Her hands were shaking profusely, she wasn't herself anymore, her heart flips every second and she couldn't bring a stop to it rather sobbed continuously

As she closed her eyes and wiped her face with her bare hands, she quaked a nurse standing at the corridor

"Are you okay, can't you see anymore ? The nurse growled at her

"That wasn't intentional, please am sorry ", Olivia said politely

She kept moving with the doctor while the nurse stared at her for some seconds and shook her head

The doctor got into his office and offered Olivia a seat and she sat opposite him, her eyes are swollen already and she feels a slight headache

"You're welcome again Miss, what's your name ? The doctor asked

" Am Olivia Logan ", she replied scratching her head

The doctor stared at him lustfully and licked his lips, he thought of pouring out his heart to Olivia but was against the thought

Doctor CRUIZ is a type that sleeps with his nurses and with some ladies that comes to him for counseling or some other reasons

He made out his time to admire Olivia and wished she had her already

"I haven't seen a lady gorgeous like her, having her will look sweet... Looking at her, she will delicious to taste ",he thought to himself

"Miss Olivia, your mom has what's called RENAL DISEASE and if not treated on time, it might reach the end stage ", the doctor explained

Olivia adjusted on her seat and shook her head, "doctor please, what's Renal disease ? She asked

The doctor sighed and said , "renal disease relates and affects the kidney and if not taken time can lead to death when it reaches the end-stage "

Olivia widened her eyes on what the doctor said, she trembled in fear

" Renal disease ", she muttered to herself

"It's high time she has been suffering from it, weren't you aware ? The doctor asked and Olivia nodded at him

She tried many times to blink back the tears in her eyes but it ran down her cheeks uncontrollably

"Miss Olivia, try comport yourself, she will be fine if treatment is taken appropriately", the doctor tried comforting her

" So how much will it cost to start the treatment, Please doctor, I don't want to loose my mom ", Olivia remarked

" We've started treatment already, but you need to pay in at least $1000 out of $3000 as it stands ", the doctor said

Olivia thought of what to do at the amount he mentioned, she left the office when he remembered the money Fanuel gave her

She went back to the ward and brought out the money, counted it and it was exactly $1000,it made her a bit relieved so she left to the doctors office to pay the bill

The doctor collected the money, counted it and then nodded his head, for a while, there was silence between them as the doctor was busy with files record

He looked up to Olivia and found out her mind wasn't around the corner, he stared lustfully at her again and wiped his face

"Despite she's in a sad mood, she still looks more beautiful than ever ",he thought to himself and smiled inwardly

Minutes elapsed yet Olivia hasn't been herself, "Miss Olivia, crying and thinking won't solve matters rather it will worsen it, put yourself together, things will get better soon ", the doctor said to her

She sat up and hissed ," I never knew my mom has been suffering from this and she never told me ", Olivia reassured

" It's alright, according to the test, it's over twenty years she's been suffering from it but you don't need to kill yourself for that ", the doctor remarked

Olivia exchanged pleasantries with him and assured him of making payments accordingly and she left back to the ward

She stayed with her mother and brother until sunset and then decided to leave, a lot is running in her head and she needs to get matters solved

The remaining $50 in her hand bag really helped her out, she brought out $30 out of it and handed it to her brother

"I will always check on the both of you, I need to run around and get the bills paid, take good care of yourself and mom and don't hesitate to let me know of something you can't handle ", Olivia stated to his brother before she left

Since it was late for her to leave to Indiana, she called Lilian and let her know she's coming over to her place though it was a bit far from the hospital but still around Columbia

She took a cab and off to Lillian's place, it took her over thirty minutes before she arrived

At the door post, she rapped at the door and was let in by Lilian who was grinning at her

She made herself comfortable while Lilian served her some fruits, she loosed appetite in food but managed to take the fruits just to sustain hunger

"Olivia, I've been reading your facial expressions since you came in, your face isn't bright at all, hope all is well ? Lilian asked but Olivia turned deaf ears to her questions

"Olivia, your visit to Columbia seemed unplanned, what's behind it ? I know there's a reason for your coming ", Lilian added

Olivia managed to speak out her heart after minutes elapsed

"Lilian, I really need your help, my mom is in the hospital bed ", Olivia said sobbing again

What she said choked Lilian that she quivered , "what's wrong with her ? She asked

" The doctor said she's suffering from renal disease and it's high time it started, out of $3000 that was charged, I've paid $1000,I have no other money with me now that's why am here to ask for your help ", Olivia said sounding husky

Lilian gasped and stood up, she moved to Olivia and sat beside her

"It's unfortunate such thing befell you but am glad she isn't dead, honestly am bankrupt... If you would take my other opinion then it will help you ", Lilian narrated holding Olivia's hand

Olivia sighed and said ," Lilian don't do this to me, no matter how little it is, am okay with it "

"Am very serious, there's this man I'll fix you with tonight, he's darn wealthy and Pays in huge... Trust me you'll get more than you expected if you work with him ", Lilian assured her

That has always been an alternative she renders to Olivia

"Fine, so when is the man coming or am I to go meet him ? Olivia asked

" Well, he will Soon be here, I would have left with him if you weren't here, but there's no issue.... Think less and work hard ", Lilian remarked

Almost an hour, Olivia has been waiting for the so called man until he arrived and walked into the sitting room

Olivia stared at him and grimaced then left to go call Lilian , "you gotta visitor to attend to ", Olivia said and twisted her face

Lilian left to see the man, they exchanged pleasantries , "the lady you saw just now is the one leaving with you ", Lilian explained while the man nodded at her with a huge smile on his face

"Lilian, what the hell are you doing ? I guess this man is in his early fiftees and must be with a family ", Olivia growled

" So what's the problem with that ? Lilian asked

"Lilian, I don't work with married men and you know that, I need someone single as I am ", Olivia explained

Lilian laughed inwardly and clapped her hands, " that's why you lack behind, married men pay in huge okay... You need to start going please ", Lilian said to her

Olivia couldn't utter a word , " she makes money from married men yet pretends to be bankrupt ", she thought

She stiffened and thought of another option but couldn't find any, since there's no other option for her, she went along with the man and they zoomed off
