Chapter 1 The billionaire playboys

"Sir, you have an appointment tomorrow. Can I fix the time at 2:00 p.m." Lara, his secretary, asked him.

"Lara ,you know that I don't work on weekends and, especially tomorrow, I have lunch with my family. So clear my schedule and if it's not urgent, fix an appointment on Monday. Otherwise let me know if I can take out some time for this meeting, " he said curtly.

Lara was watching him in awe. He was used to this kind of attention from girls and he was unaffected by the admiring glances of his female staff in the office. Sometimes this irritated him so much. He sighed and left the office. He went straight to the parking lot and sat inside his Red Ferrari. He started the ignition and drove towards his home.

Ryder Knight was a twenty eight years old billionaire and owner of Knight enterprises. He became successful and popular at a very young age. He was handsome, hot and the most eligible bachelor in New York City. He had the two most important things which made girls crazy for him . One was lots of money and the second was his handsome looks.

Ryder's pov.

As soon as I reached home, my phone started buzzing. I picked up and swiped the answer button.

"Hey buddy, where are you? We are waiting for you here in Sizzle, the club." Alex's voice came through the speaker.

"Just reached home. I am changing and leaving in two minutes. Wait for me. I'll be there soon." I replied to my friend.

" OK dude, come soon." My friend hung up the phone. I quickly changed into faded jeans and a v-neck black t-shirt. I put on a leather jacket . I gelled up my hair and made some spikes. Wearing my leather boots, I picked up my car's keys and left for the club Sizzle.

After a 10 minute drive, I reached the club. I went through the VIP gate and reached inside. I searched for my friends in the dark hall room. But I could not see properly in the dim light ,so I went near the bar. I was sure my friends would be hanging out near the bar and there I found my friends.

"Hey Ryder! Here you come . We were waiting for you for so long, bro." Alex, one of my friends said.

"I have to work a little bit late. So I became late. Sorry, bro." I said with a harsh shrug.

"It's ok. I am surprised that today you are not tagging Bella with you. This is so strange and unlike you." Logan, one of my friends said.

"She has an assignment to complete. So she refused to come with me and, after all, she is coming to my family lunch tomorrow. So it's better she completes the work today only." I said with a frown. I didn't like my friends mentioning Bella every time. I was protective over her as she was my childhood friend and ten years younger. She was a baby to me.

"Come on dude. Don't waste your night. Let's have fun. There are so many girls drooling over you. Look at them. They were ready to throw themselves at you." Logan said to me. He was the most cunning among us. He liked to play dirty.

I looked over the crowd and saw a group of girls looking in my direction. I smirked and nodded in their direction.

"It will be wrong if I don't give them my attention. So game on boys." I said, and my playboy persona was all set to play again.

"Ryder, aren't you in a relationship with Kate?" Logan asked me, smirking.

"Oh no bro. She tagged herself as my girlfriend. I never promised anything to her. I don't want any committed relationship .You know I am a free soul and I like to be ." I shrugged and they all laughed.

"So what's going on between you and Kate?" Alex asked this time.

"Nothing serious. I like her company. I like her. But I don't want any complications in my life and falling in love is a big no .I don't have time for love. I want to live my life to the fullest and when there are so many beautiful girls around me, how can I fall for one girl?" I smirked, looking at a gorgeous blond.

"You are so lucky Ryder. I envy you." Alex said, scowling.

"Oh Alex! Don't be, dude. So what? You are getting married, we are players and a player can not forget to play." Logan winked at Alex and left to get a girl from the crowd on the dance floor.
