The problem with Mrs. Indira is over, now Alena and I have to face the CEO, who may be more fierce than Mrs. Indira. It's like getting out of the tiger's cage and entering the crocodile's cage.
What will my fate be next?
With slow steps, and a broken heart, Alena and I stepped into the division room. Looks like Mrs. Indira is following behind us.
Huh.
Take a breath, Bismillah. Hopefully not being scolded by the CEO who is giving directions inside. Besides, I'm also surprised, when someone who has the highest position in this company immediately intervenes to give direction to employees in the marketing division, which incidentally is not one of the top divisions in this office.
I grabbed the handle of the glass door, then slowly I started to open it.
"Excuse me, Sir," I said, while Alena remained silent.
Instantly the man who was standing turned to me, and our gazes met.
What?!
Why him again?
What is he doing here?
Never mind him ...
The man raised an eyebrow while looking at me with a sharp gaze.
"Sorry, Sir, we're late," said Alena, who had been silent for a long time. As for me? I was speechless to see that the man was there.
"How long have you worked here?" the man asked Alena.
"Three years, Sir," replied Alena who I think was scared.
"Are you often late like this?" he asked again.
"No, Sir."
"Okay, please sit down," he ordered Alena. "And you." He turned back to look at me. "Since when did you work here?"
"It's only been three days, Sir," I answered flatly, though I was scared.
"It's only been three days, and you're already late?" he asked irritably. "Great! What kind of employee are you!"
"Excuse me, Sir." I feel like crying being treated like this. I've never been yelled at in public like this in ages. When I was in the old office, I was never scolded by my boss in front of other employees.
"You think by apologizing, everything is over?"
I lowered my head and didn't even dare to raise my head, let alone make a sound. But, I felt that he was watching me.
"Miss Indira," called the man.
"Yes, Sir," said Mrs. Indira.
"I want you to give this late employee a lot of work, take it as punishment for being late."
"Okay, Sir."
"And you're a new employee." I raised my face timidly.
"Yes, Sir," I said.
"I'll wait for you in my room at ten o'clock," he said as he left the room. "Oh, yes, if later you are late, then I will give you additional punishment."

One thing I never wanted to happen in this world was to meet my ex-boyfriend, with my condition under his pressure. What will the world say if they know that now I feel scared by someone called my ex, even though in the past I was still in love, I was the one who saw the pressure, and he gave in? Now the situation is completely reversed.
Now I've arrived at the door of the CEO's room. Hesitantly I knocked on the door. Not only doubt, but also fear.
After getting a reply from inside telling me to come in, I slowly opened the door.
"Excuse me, Sir," I said as I entered the CEO's room. Needless to say, I started shivering. Not because of the cold air conditioner in this room, but because of the fear that has been haunting me, even though the owner of the room is sitting with his back to where I am standing.
"You're ten seconds late," he said with his back to me.
Ten seconds mattered, how about ten minutes, or ten hours?
Eh, but how did he know that I was coming anyway? Even though he had been sitting in his oversized chair with his back to it. Does he still understand my voice right? If so... fix it, he hasn't moved on yet!
"It's only ten seconds, Sir, not ten minutes, so it's okay, please," I said casually even though my heart was already racing.
"You dare to refute my words?" He turned his oversized chair so he could now look at me with his piercing eyes. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, making him seem arrogant. Is he my ex or not?
Being given a death stare like that made my guts shrink, I was forced to lower my ego, act resignedly in front of an ex who used to often surrender to me. Unfortunately, now the situation is reversed.
"No, Sir."
He nodded. "Then how long are you going to stand there?"
where do I have to be?
"You haven't told me to sit down yet," I said carefully.
"Oh, well, please have a seat." That's the cake from earlier!
Immediately, I prepared to sit in the chair right in front of him, which was separated by the CEO's oversized table.
"Who told you to sit there?"
"Then where should I sit, Sir? On that couch?" My hand points to a long sofa in this room. "Or sit on the floor?"
He shook his head without taking his eyes off me. "Sit here," he said, patting his thigh.
Is this a sane person? I haven't seen each other for three years, maybe his brain has short-circuited.
In the past, let alone telling them to sit on their laps, holding hands was rare.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"According to you?" He raised an eyebrow.
I snorted in annoyance. It's really like this, dealing with an ex.
"Come on, Mr. CEO, what exactly was I called here for?" I asked a little curtly. It's annoying to know that I'm only here to be played with.
"You're not polite!"
Well, I'm silent, to be safe, even though I want to curse people if I don't remember his position.
"Why are you silent?"
"Then what should I do, Sir?"
"You have not obeyed my orders."
"Which command, Sir?"
"Sit here." Again he patted his thigh.
I exhaled harshly. "Sir, can you be serious, please?"
"You're not serious either."
I want to be rude.
"I've been serious, Sir," I argued.
"But you weren't serious about our relationship before."

"Ainsley, what were you doing in the CEO's room earlier?" asked Alena. In this lunch hour, Alena and I don't go out to eat but finish the tasks that have been piling up from Mrs. Indira.
Asked like that, it annoyed me because I remembered the incident in the CEO's room earlier.
"Remembering memories," I answered simply.
" Remembering memories? Don't be half-hearted when it comes to stories."
"You remember, Len, when I said yesterday, I met my ex?"
Alena nodded. "Yeah, so what's the correlation with the boss?"
"Your boss is my ex," I whispered.
"Ha? So, Mr. Brian is your ex?"
"Don't say it out loud, why not say it!"
"Sorry, Ainsley, but are you serious?"
"Yeah, I'm serious, I didn't expect to know that he's the boss here. Why don't you tell me too."
"Ye... how do I know if you've ever dated Mr. Brian. Eh, but did you run out of remembering memories? Did you date back then?"
I rolled my eyes. "No! I just messed with him."
Yes, because there was no serious discussion in the CEO's room earlier, so I decided to leave the room, even though the owner of the room didn't allow it.
"Maybe he was deliberately tricking you, Ainsley, so he could be alone with you," Alena teased.
"Ugh, what the hell!" I cursed, "Uh, but don't tell anyone, okay, that Brian is my ex. This is just a secret between the two of us. Watch out if you're a bucket, Len!"
"Don't worry, Honey, I won't leak it to people, as long as ..." he hung his head.
"From what?"
"You treat me to eat. It's just to keep your mouth shut. Coincidentally, my finances are running low this month."
extortion!

"Ainsley, I'm going home, okay?" Alena asked me who was still busy completing this hefty task.
"Yeah, just go home."
"Here, lock my motorcycle, you just take it." Alena put her motorbike key on my desk.
"Eh, no, what will you ride home later, Len, if I bring the motorcycle," I refused.
"I'll go with Jason, all of you closer." Alena winked. "But you'll come back later to my boarding house."
"Okay," I said. Alena immediately left, leaving me alone in this room, because the others had all gone home.
The fate of having a boss who is hurt by me is like this, giving me a lot of unmitigated tasks. Mrs. Indira's punishment task was completed on time, but after that Mrs. Indira gave me these tasks which she said was an additional punishment from the boss, aka CEO.
During the three years, I worked in the former office, I rarely had sudden overtime like this. Even if you work overtime, you must have lots of friends, you're not alone like this. Already single, overtime must be alone. This life sucks. If I didn't need a job anymore, I decided to resign from this office when I found out that the former CEO was the one.
While busy with my thoughts, while my fingers danced on the keyboard, suddenly the atmosphere turned tense.
I stopped my typing activity, then looked left and right. There is nothing strange, the difference is that there are no more noises from outside the room, now there is only silence.
Glancing at the clock on the wrist. It's still five o'clock in the afternoon, why is it so quiet in this sizable company?
It's time for everyone to go home, and no one is working overtime from other divisions.
Are people still concentrating on overtime huh?
Ah, instead of constantly wondering, and not getting an answer, I finally decided to get out of this room for a while.
I saw that the office corridor was also quiet. There wasn't anyone in sight. Is this an office or a cemetery? Like no sign of life.
I stepped into another division room which was exactly in front of my division room, who knows there were a lot of people in there, and I could join them.
As soon as I held the doorknob of the room, suddenly there was the sound of something falling from behind me.
What's that?
Why does the voice suddenly make goosebumps on my neck?
I see, don't I?
