Chapter 4 Half human half fish

After facing a tiresome and problematic day Lana enjoyed Deep sleep of nine hours until the sun started shining over her head through the broken window of her small house. She yawned lazily, stretching herself rolling over her bed and sat up looking ahead. She sighed looking at the wall clock which was ticking 6.45 am in the morning.

She knew to survive she needed to find herself a good respectable job and job won't walk to her home and especially to her bed. She turned to her right to get down from bed and got a mini heart attack. Alon was sitting on floor smiling very brightly like he got a lost treasure and like last night his hairs turned luminescent and she heard the sound of glass bells,

" My God....... What are you doing here¿ where did you sleep last night¿" asked Lana and slapped herself thinking, how could she forget another big problem in her life.

"I got scared for you that's why I was here all night and you didn't told me how to sleep " said Alon

" Why were you scared for me, I was sleeping, what would have happened to me and about your sleep.... How can anyone teach you how to................ Oh my God ¡¡ from where do these pearls came" said Lana and picked up a pearl near her bed. She looked towards Alon who had a panicked expression on his face,

"Alon..... is there something bothering you" asked Lana and this Alon didn't look at her and just shook his head in denial.

"No.... I don't know where they came from" he said.

"Relax, it's ok..... I won't scold you. Go outside I will pick them up and safely keep it" said Lana, Alon walked outside with his head hung low. Lana knew Alon was hiding something from her and he was very much scared for that fact.

Lana safely kept those pearls in a glass jar in her closet. She did her morning routine and came out. To find Alon sitting on stools at kitchen counter, as she walked close to him she heard the sound of his stomach,

"Alon.... You could have told me when you were this hungry..." said Lana tying an apron around her waist.

"I didn't know what to do .... " said Alon, fidgeting his fingers.

Lana smiled at him and passed him a banana from the fruit basket. He looked at her with a questioning face, she sighed and mentally slapped herself for forgetting about the naiveness of Alon. She peeled the banana and Alon followed her steps and learned how to eat it. After that Lana made pancakes and coffee. They had their breakfast and now Lana was planning about how to start her search for a new job.

Before going to her room she saw Alon, who was in the loose night dress stitched by her from old bed sheets. She sighed she really needed to buy him some clothes. She was a fashion designer with her specialization designing clothes for men, her inner conscience didn't permit her to let a handsome and charming man like Alon in those loose clothes.

She picked up her handbag and took some cash from her savings. For a while her mind restrained her to use her hard earned money on a stranger when she doesn't know how long will it take for her to get a job. But the human inside her told not to be so mean, maybe God blessed her with this money for Alon only and he might bless her with better things.

Lana walked to the living room and saw Alon sitting and looking at the pictures of sea shore printed on newspaper,

"Hey!!.. what's that you're looking.... " said Lana and took it and read it.

'Some researchers claim presence of half human like aquatic creatures near Y city'

"There's nothing such as half human and half fish.... This is just rubbish printed by newspaper publishers to increase their sale" said Lana and turned towards Alon, she found that prominent frown holding worry and fear.

"Alon.... Relax There's nothing such.... Even if they exist they can't harm you.... Now let's go shopping" said Lana and pulled him from the couch.

"Shopping??" Asked Alon

"Yeah.... You can't stay in a night dress... now come with me " said Lana and she took him out.

On her moped they drove to the old market where one can find cheap yet quality products. As they walked through narrow streets Alon's fear and anxiety increased. No matter how much he tried to keep his pace with Lana he lost her in between people pushing and walking there.

He looked around and started running between the people in spite of very little space.

"Mira..... My Mira..... Mira.... Where are you??" He was calling for her and was almost on the verge of losing. He felt himself getting weak and fragile without her, looking at his condition a old woman who happened to be a vendor asked him,

"Who are you looking for, son??" She asked

"My Mira.... Did you see her??" He asked

"Please tell me something about how she looks .... " said the old woman.

"Yes... she has fair color, red blonde hair and grey eyes. She was wearing green clothes today and yes..... she is this much" Alon said last sentence demarcating Lana's height upto his shoulders.

"Son you should wait here she will come here, she must also be looking for you" said Old woman who took Alon's hand pulling him to the side.

Alon jerked her hand away,

"nooo.... I am going, I will find her" said Alon his voice getting louder and sounding frustrated.

"You will get lost in this crowd, wait here by my side" she again took his hand and this time pulled him.

"Leave me..... I want to be with Mira!!!!" Alon screamed loudly and all the people on the street stopped and looked at him with wide eyes and started murmuring.

"Alon!!!"

Lana came there running and immediately covered his entire head with her scarf and took him away from there to a lonely street.

As soon as they reached there, before Lana could say or do anything Alon took her in his embrace tightly almost hiding her petite figure in his huge frame.
