Chapter 4 Althea Visit Me

POV- Prince

May 7, 2007, I didn't go to school today because what happened last night is still bothering me. I know Jasper and his gang will go after me again, and I suddenly remembered Althea. I just realized that I should attend school because there's a possibility that they might go after Althea. That girl, I already told her last night to go home, but she didn't listen to me. Jasper already knows her face, and I'm afraid they will hurt Althea or use her against me. She's giving me so many problems already.

Speaking of that brat girl, she went to my house with her cousin, Mitch, and my friends. What are they doing here? I asked myself.

"Hey, brother." Jake greeted me.

"What are you guys doing here?." I asked in a serious tone.

"You didn't go to school earlier." Althea answered.

"So what if I didn't go to school? Do you have a problem with that?."

"Bro, Althea and Mitch wanted to visit your house, and besides, Althea is concern about you because she didn't saw you at the campus."

Concern? I suddenly smile in disbelief. Are they crazy? Why would Althea be concerned about me? I'm sure because of what she witnessed last night. She will not want to see me again."

"Uhm, Mitch, we will tour you around." Diego said, and Mitch agrees with him.

Wow, this is my house, and they will tour other people without my consent. How lucky I have to have a friend like them.

I know they purposely leave me with Althea so that I will talk to her. I will really punch them later.

"Prince, are you okay?." Althea asked, and this made me look at her.

"Yes, I'm fine. Why?."

"I just asked."

"Seriously, why did you come here? It's night already, and yet you went here instead of going home."

"I just want to see you. As your friends said, I want to visit you because I didn't see you on campus."

"Althea, are you blind?"

"Huh? What do you mean?." Althea curiously asked.

"This is annoying already."

"Are you irritated with me? Am I bothering you too much?."

"Yes, and I'm getting annoyed by it. I don't want to be friends with you. I will ask you, aren't you afraid of me? What you witnessed last night, I can do it to you."

Because of what I said, Althea suddenly couldn't speak; instead, she just lowered her head. I know what I've said is kind an offensive, but that's the truth, and that's what I feel. This girl is bothering me. She didn't even realize that she's also putting her life in danger because of me. Minutes later, Diego, Jake, and her cousin Mitch came, and they noticed Althea being quiet.

"You have a nice house, Prince." Mitch said. "The interior and designs are classic." She added.

"Althea, are you okay? Why are you so quiet?." Diego asked.

"I'm fine. I just want to go home. I'm tired and sleepy, and I think Prince needs to take some rest too. We bother him already." Althea said.

"But, we just arrived. Mitch said.

"Excuse me." Althea excuse herself as she walks away without saying anything. I know I hurt her, but It's for my own sake. I will just put her life in danger if I let her be part of my life.

POV-Jake

I'm the one who sends itch and Althea to their house while Diego decided to stay at Prince House. When we are on our way home, I noticed that Althea seems gloomy. There's something wrong with her. You can even see sadness through her eyes.

"Althea, is there something wrong?."

"Nothing Jake, I'm just tired." She said, but I've not contended about her answer. I know Prince say something to her earlier.

"Nothing? Are you sure? You are like that since we left Prince's house. Did you guys fight?"

"No, Mitch, I'm just tired." Althea answered once again.

Mitch doesn't buy Althea's answer because I can see that she's worried for her cousin. I wonder what Prince said to Althea. I know Prince well. Sometimes, he can't control his emotion. That's why without him knowing, he's already hurting those people who genuinely care for him because he keeps pushing them away.

After I sent Althea and Mitch to their house, I immediately went back to Prince place, and when I arrived, I didn't see Diego because he went home already.

"Prince, what happened last night?." I directly asked Prince.

"Jasper and His Gang didn't settle on me."

"Did you guys fought?."

"Yes, and Althea saw everything. Althea saw the monster living in me."

"Speaking of her, what happened earlier? She seems gloomy everyone notices that. She's been acting like that after you guys talk. Did you said something bad on her?."

"Yes, I said something bad on her. I hurt her, Jake."

"I knew it."

"Because she's very annoying, she's interfering too much in my life."

"Bro, he just wants you to be her friend, and I know she won't give up on you. She's determined to get to know you more."

"Is she serious? She should have stayed away from me after she saw what happened last night, but she's still there."

"Earlier, while we were talking, I saw in her eyes that she was serious about being your friend. She even said that you just have a problem, that's why you can't smile. She just wants to help you, Prince."

"She's crazy, we still haven't known each other for a week, but she's easy to trust someone."

"She knows you as a good man."

"She doesn't know what she's saying." Prince is tough.

"You know that althea can be harm, now that Jasper already knew her."

"It's Althea's fault. If she had just come home at that time, they wouldn't have seen her with me."

"Prince, you have no choice. Althea's life is in danger if Jasper and his group get back at her."

"So, what do you want me to do?" He asked.

"Stay beside her."

"What! Why do I even have to do that? I don't want to." He annoyingly replied.

"If you're not by her side and notice that she's alone, Jasper and his group might just hurt her."

"What do you mean?" He asked, confused.

"Be her friend, Prince. I know you're annoyed and pissed with her but admit it, you still see her kindness, you just can't admit and say because we know, you see Angela in her." Prince went silent at what I said. Maybe he's also confused.

"You have a point. Jae Sun is not Althea. Althea does nothing, yet I'm a jerk at her because she reminds me of Jae. Yes, you're right. Althea is kind."

"Prince, I'm sure you hurt Althea by what you said to her earlier."

"I know that. I'll talk to her tomorrow and try to be friends with her also."

"That's better. I know that Althea will help you change your life." I said and sighed with relief.

POV-Prince

I couldn't sleep last night because of what I said to Althea. I'm sure Althea is mad at me after I told her all of that.

I went to school early so I could talk to Althea right away. I immediately saw Mitch, Diego, and Jake, so I approached them.

"Mitch, where's Althea?" I asked.

"Uhm, we didn't go to school together. She let me go first." Mitch replied.

"Is that so." I went silent.

"Looks like the wind is blowing differently now." Diego said.

"I want to tell her something. I'm sure she'll be late."

"I'm sure. There are only 15 minutes left before the time." said Mitch.
