Chapter 4 4

Sasha sat on the bench outside the college Jodas had arranged to met her so Louise and Chris had left her alone twenty minutes previous. She felt so nervous he'd seen her how she wanted him to see her not how she actually looked. Louise had tried to tell her if he couldn't take her as she was he wasn't worth it, but Friday was so perfect but she couldn't tell her best friend how it felt now she was no longer the big V.

He sat next to her she looked at him through her rimmed glasses. 'so you ditch the contacts?'

'they were a one day thing i had a few sets so i could see without my glasses.'

'so Chris was right you are different.'

'yeah i'm sorry Lou thought it would be better if i didn't come as my self, but as someone..'

'that wasn't you?'

'i guess it worked. I didn't think you would take any notice of me however i looked, but you did.'

'so you look like this twenty four seven?'

'unfortunately.'

'why?'

'i hate it it's my parents choice not mine, i just want to be normal.'

'you are .'

'i'm not everyone hates me.'

'no they don't Louise is your friend right.'

'I sometimes wonder if she just feels sorry for me.'

'i'm sure she doesn't.'

'i guess you hate me to.'

'why?'

'because i lied to you.'

'no you thought it was best and you did look hot.'

'and now.'

He looked at her unable to answer.

'i thought so.' She pulled her self up. 'good bye.'

'why? Where are you going?'

'well you obviously are looking for someone that isn't me and I'd rather be alone than be around someone that doesn't want to be around me.'

'so how do you think it's going?'

'he'll be disappointed.'

'i thought you told him what she was like?'

'i did, but when she turned up like that.'

'you asked me to help.'

'i know i didn't think it would improve her that much, and it did.'

'she's not like us Chris if he thinks she is he's wrong. She likes him and he's about to bring that crashing down.'

'he's not that nasty.'

'yeah right.'

Jodas grabbed Sasha's arm. 'please Sasha we can talk.'

'what's the point you obviously expected page three.'

'no i didn't.'

'you could've fooled me.'

'please i do like you.'

'but i'm not the girl you were hoping for, not the girl you screwed.'

'please sit down.'

'no.'

He pulled her down. 'i'm so sorry if i come across as being harsh.'

'being harsh! At least you got warned how ridiculous i look.'

'you're really pretty. You should show off your face more.'

'i would but.'

'what's stopping you?'

'everything.'

'i'm not saying i don't like you the way you are.'

'well take me for who i am.'

'i am.'

'i'm sorry i have to go.' She said pulling herself up.

He grabbed her hand. 'can i meet you tomorrow.'

'i can't sorry.'

He pulled her close his lips pressed on hers kissing her.

'ooh the freak's scored.'

She quickly pulled away. 'i'm sorry i can't.'

Her hand slipped from his and she ran.

'Sasha!!'

Louise sat next to Sasha. 'so how did it go?'

she looked at her.

'that bad?'

'you were right.'

'i'm so sorry Sasha.'

'me too.'

'do you want to talk?'

'he was everything i hoped he wasn't but expected him to be.'

'maybe he should've seen you as you.'

'maybe, but now he has.'

'they'll be others.'

'not like him.'

'there will be.'

'maybe.'

'you want company.'

'yeah.'

'come on then.'

They walked away from the college. 'Sasha!!'

They turned. 'i thought you said.'

'he wanted to meet me tomorrow i refused.'

'so what's he doing here?'

'i don't know.'

Jodas jogged over to them. 'hey why did you run off earlier?'

'i'm sorry i couldn't face it.'

'i kissed you.'

'yeah then came the verbal.'

'just ignore them.'

'how?'

'easy i do. I like you.'

'yeah right funny way of showing it.'

'i wouldn't've kissed you if i didn't.'

'you just felt sorry for me.'

'no i didn't.'

'yes you do just leave me alone.'

'i'll see you at lunch tomorrow.'

'don't you give up?'

'nope i'll be here at one.'

'sure can i go now.'

'as long as you promise you'll be here.'

'i promise.' She sighed defeated.

'tomorrow then.'

She smiled, her and Louise walked away.

'i thought you said.'

'he turned it round. I tried to make my exit and he gave excuses for me to stay and talk to him.'

'so the guys calling you a freak again?'

'yeah.'

'he obviously don't care if he wants to meet you again.'

'he feels sorry for me just like everyone who chooses to talk to me.'

'hey I don't feel sorry for you okay we're best friends and I'm sorry for even trying to change you.'

'i enjoyed it even if it was only for one night.'

They turned the corner. 'so fancy a shake?'

'yeah then i really have to be getting home.'

'i thought we was hanging?'

'we are, just you know.'

'yeah i do.'

They walked into the shake station having a few milkshakes and a chat.

'just remember what i said okay no guy's worth your tears okay.'

'okay.'

'take each day as it comes, each step with caution.'

'i will.'

'i'll see you tomorrow.'

'okay.'

'night Sasha.'

'night Lou.'
