Chapter 5 Five

The night was very quite. Meanwhile Yifei quickly drove her car through the road. Arriving at her destination, she rushed out after parking her car. Just wondering what is she doing right now? Why did she come to this place?

In that place, lined up with several luxury cars. Yifei then noticed her disheveled appearance. She didn't even change clothes because she went straight from the her workplace.

'This is really embarrassing, I should not went here,' that girl said to herself as she gripped the business card in her hand tightly.

Yifei was about to return to her car when someone called out to her. She turned and saw Leo walking towards her quickly.

"You've come, why do you want to go? Come on in first. I have something to show you," said that man again.

"I-I... actually I...."

"Come on!" Leo asked, grabbing that girl's hand and leading her into the exhibition area. Yifei couldn't refuse. She just obeyed.

Inside, Leo accompanied Yifei to look at the large photos hanging on the wall. Photos of beaches, mountains, plants, even flowers and fruit are displayed there. Yifei never admired a photo. But all the pictures that Leo took according to her were very beautiful.

"LY?" She said as she approached and studied the name on one of the photos.

"That's my popular name as a photographer," said Leo who was standing next to him.

"I think it's easier to remember."

Yifei's heart skipped a beat to Leo. She then smile at him. Someone approached and said he was going to set one Leo photos. The man then said goodbye to Yifei who turned her attention back to the photo of the rainbow valley in front of her.

Leo opened the drink bottle and gave it to Yifei. They were sitting on a park bench not far from the exhibition area. The event itself is over. Yifei was quite amazed that many people bought Leo's photos.

"I'm glad you came. I thought you wouldn't come. This event must be boring," Leo said suddenly. Yifei who was drinking immediately coughed repeatedly.

"Are you alright?" asked that man while patting Yifei on the back.

"Don't be in a hurry when you're drinking."

Yifei just nodded. She then asked a question to divert attention.

"So you really like photograph?"

Leo nodded.

"That's right, everything that becomes the object will be caught clearly through the camera."

Yifei nodded. Was this how the killer felt too? Stopping time so that the beauty captured on camera doesn't disappear with time?

. "You're asking this. Is it because you're also interested in photography?" Leo asked, turning his head to look at that girl.

"No. I was just curious."

This time it was Leo who nodded. Yifei then said goodbye because it was getting late.

"If it's not about the photo, can we still meet?" Leo asked suddenly. Yifei who had walked some distance stopped walking. Turn around and nod. The two then smiled at each other.

Yifei's face lit up brightly when a message came into her cell phone the next day. She rushed out of her office. It was already late in the afternoon, the atmosphere in that place was also not very good.

Yifei standing froze. Her eyes stared in disbelief as Leo walked towards her. A white suit with a long black jacket and matching colored trousers made the man even more handsome. Several girls who happened to be passing by also stopped for a moment and stared at Leo. However, that man's gaze only focused on the figure of Yifei who was standing in the courtyard of the office.

A blush spread across Yifei's face when she saw Leo waving at her with a smile. The swish in her heart felt as her heart it was beating more and more.

'This man, doesn't he realize how alluring he is?' She said in her heart.

Leo walked closer. He then handed the box of food he brought to Yifei.

"Even if it's only restaurant food, you have to eat it to stay healthy. You're so skinny you must have been eating irregularly. From now on, I'll take care of you," Leo said.

Yifei was stunned for a moment.

"What are you talking about?" She said not long after in a whisper.

"I'll be responsible for taking care of you," Leo replied, gently ruffling that girl's hair. Many girls who had just stared at them couldn't help but sigh in disappointment as they continued on their way. Such a handsome man turned out to already have a girlfriend. It seems that even though his girlfriend is ordinary, he really loves her. That's what resonated in their minds.

"You're really embarrassing me," said Yifei. However, Leo just smiled as he grabbed her hand. He took the girl to a park not far from there.

"Now you eat in peace. I'll take care of you," Leo said after they sat down on the bench.

Yifei just nodded. She immediately opened the box of food Leo was carrying for her. When she saw the contents, Yifei was dumbfounded. It contained some expensive food sold in expensive restaurants. Yifei hierself had never eaten the food like that, but it seemed weird that a man she had just met bought such an expensive meal.

"Eat, this food is very delicious. I've eaten it," Leo said again.

Yifei still remained silent. Her gaze shifted to the man beside her.

"What's wrong? Are you suspicious of me?"

"It's not like that, it's just, we're just new to meet each other. Why give me expensive food?" Yifei said carefully. She was afraid that Leo would be angry and offended. Thought she was refusing the food he gave to her. However, Leo smiled again.

"Because I feel attracted to you," he replied.

Yifei was stunned by the unexpected answer. In her heart, she didn't want to believe, Leo was really interested in her. Yifei always felt that she was not someone who could easily attract the attention of men. His ordinary style even tends to be messy, of course it is not an attraction for men.

Yifei's memories drifted back to when she was a teenager. As a girl who only lives with her father, she tends to be a tomboy, especially since her father, who is also a police commander, teaches her hard. Physically training her only daughter so that she does not suffer the fate of her mother who died at the hands of robbers. It was also what prompted Yifei to decide to become a police officer.

At that time, she was so young. Interested and in love with a young man who is none other than his college mate. However, that young man preferred Yifei's friend who was elegant and feminine.

"I need a lover, not a bodyguard," said that young man when Yifei asked why he chose her best friend. Hearing this answer, Yifei was heartbroken. However, it did not change her identity and desire, she remained determined to become a police officer. Finally, after trying hard, the dream came true. And now she has become a respected detective, while her father is still the police chief in a different city.

Yifei gasped as Leo touch her fingers.

"Why are you so quiet?" said that man as he took the food with chopsticks and thrust it in front of that girl.

"Can't I like you?" Leo continued asked while staring fixedly at Yifei.
