Chapter 4 The training

It's time for dinner the person outside shouted after that I could hear the foot step fading away I walked up to the dining as I was directed the mansion is so big that one could get lost

Are you gonna stand there or are you gonna join us the Alpha turned to me

I took a deep breath went to take an empty seat beside the Alpha I awed at the sight on the table is this some kind of feast

My subconscious mind asked I sat down and was given my own portion of the food

I munched the food quickly ignoring the eyes boring holes on my body.

Three hours later

Alpha's POV

Dinner has been over since an hour ago, everyone had returned to their chambers.

I couldn't take my mind off the girl, I mean she's now a grown woman.

Maybe I should give her a tour around the castle, she's been indoor since she came but I couldn't bring myself to do so.

The maids are still cleaning my room cause I haven't been around for some days now.

I've been away trying to protect my pack from the rogues, I don't want my people to feel insecure.

I've lost a lots of wolves after the last battle and I don't plan on losing another.

I don't think it's a good idea going to her room, we're gonna meet at the training ground tomorrow.

Vanessa's POV

I woke to the sound of banging.

Startled from my sleep, I jumped out of my bed just in time for my bedroom door to be pushed open.

"What are you still doing here Nessa? Anna exclaimed.

Her eyes darting around my room.

"What are you looking for? Was the first thing to leave my lips, for a minute there I hadn't even remembered leaving home.

With an exasperated look Anna replied. "You're late for the training"

"What?" I gasped, "Why didn't the guard at the from of my door wake me up? Is he a statue?"

"Take your ass to the training ground, or you're gonna get screwed by the Alpha"

"Give me a second, I haven't brushed and I also need to take my bath"

"Okay, I will be at the garden" she said and walked out.

Once my door closed, I hurried inside the bathroom to do my business.

I came out and quickly slipped on a black leggings and sports Bra.

I hastily combed through my hair using the mirror in the bathroom.

I darted down the stairs, with the maids walking tro and fro.

"Are they not going for the training?" I asked myself.

I ran trying to find my way to the training ground.

"Oh Goddess, he's going to be pissed, this is your first time and you're already late" Xina scolded.

"You didn't wake me up, the only thing you're good at is running into the woods without directions" I barked.

"I was busy with something, that's why I forgot to wake you up, you're unfortunate and don't blame me for that".

"We are unfortunate and you're a stupid wolf living in my head".

"I'm only but a wo...."

"Discussion ends here" I said and shut her out, and continued finding my way to the training ground.

By the time I got there, my lungs had started to burn.

I could see the others already training. I skidded to halt in front of everyone.

I instantly noticed that some men guiding the entrance looked exactly like a war lord, those giant creatures like animals.

I had been so engrossed in the men that I hadn't heard it when someone behind me cleared their throat, why should when I was busy ogling over the naked body of the men.

"Is that how you were thought to train in your pack?"

"I...I..was uhm" i was short of words and couldn't think of any excuse to give to this scary looking Alpha whose face I've never seen before.

"I'm asking you?" He barked in his deep voice, bringing me back to reality, for a moment o wish I could just vanish.

"I'm sorry, it won't happen again".

"That wasn't my question".

Nessa, what have you gotten yourself into? I've really lost my tongue and couldn't say anything.

"I've never been trained before" I mumbled coherently, that I could barely hear myself, is this how it feels like to be scared?

He chuckled. "Go pick a sword"

Did he just smile, Or is my eyes deceiving me? I can't believe the mean Alpha just smiled at me, oh Goddess this is a history to be recorded.

But for a second his smile where gone.

"Go get a sword" he barked bringing, bringing everyone's attention to us.

While some looked pitifully at me, some looked shocked, I guess no one has ever made the Alpha angry like I just did.

I rushed towards the other end of the training ground to get a sword.

I picked the smallest and lightest one that I could handle and ran back to him.

"Here it is"

"What is this?"

"It's a sword"

"This is not a sword but a knife, drop it let's go with our fist" he commanded giving me no space to argue.

But I can't die this way, training with him means death.

"Can I train with the rest?"

"No, you're late, there's no one left for you to train with" he said firmly, adjusting himself for the training that looks more like a battle to me, I just pray I survive.

I wasn't sure how long I've spent dodging his blows and kicks. But by the time he stopped, I was completely exhausted.

While I managed to dodge some of his hits, he was faster than the normal werewolf.

My entire body ached and groaned.

He was absolutely legally.

He must have been good at controlling his anger cause ha had many chances to take me down but he didn't.

The training got to an end.

Just as I was about to leave with the rest, his deep voice got me standing on my spot.

He walked to my front, slipping his shirt back on.

I couldn't stop drooling over those strong abs and muscles of his.

"How was the training? Did you learn anything?" His voice rough and cold.

"Yes, I did"

"I thought you said you haven't been trained before".

"Yes"

"How come you dodged my fist so well?"

"My dad was the pack's beta, I seldom go with him to the training ground and watch him train".

"You can go but don't be late tomorrow or you might not be lucky" His voice almost condescending, that i wished never to get on his way.

I ran back to my room with my sweaty body, I quickly ran to the bathroom cause I reek of sweat.

after bathing, I wore a simple dress before retiring to bed
