"Dad I already joined the contest I participated in the first stage this morning"

"What"dad yelled in shock "you didn't inform me of this or did you tell your mom" he looked at my Mom skeptical

"no she didn't tell me anything"she replied and glared at me

" when did you starts hiding things from us, Lily you are changing I know you are the reserved type,but not to we your parents you tell us everything even the least thing so I'm surprised you kept this from us" dad said with his eyes rolled

" dad I have no intention of hiding it's from you,I thought it was a personal stuff"I chipped

" if you say so"dad interrupted

"Dad I'm sorry for not telling you"I said looking like a child deprived of her lollipop.

He look at me and I pouted,he smile at me and beckoned me for a hug,I got nearer to him and hugged him tight.

" I am not angry Lily I am just surprised that you kept it away from us"

"I am sorry Dad I said apologetically

"you are forgiven daughter"

"what's about me are you going to hug me also" mom asked

she has been watching us with keen interest.

I hugged her tightly and she began to suffocate

" oh stop it my dear you know this can kill me" she cried out

" it's won't mother"I noticed that her hand were shaking. dad look up do me and I get her inhaler from the chest of drawer beside the bed, I applied it's to her and within few minutes she was okay.

"ohMom I'm sorry"I apologized

"you almost kill me Lily"she retorted

"I will never kill you mom" I muttered

she sat up right on the bed and dad patted her back telling her that I would never kill her.

she looked at me and my eyes gave e her an apologetic look

"Lilly"mum called

"yes mum"

"have you told Richard what we discussed yesterday"

"yes mum and he said he will definitely come"

"He better do"Dad chirped in

I sense the tone of anger in his voice and truly I didn't blame him

"Lily get us dinner and really famished" dad said

I got out of their room and went into the kitchen to prepare something to eat. All through the cooking I was worried why mum was shaking when I hugged her.

Oh God I hope the situation should not surface again,as I remembered all the past incident tears fell freely from my eyes. I dried my tears and continued cooking.

Few minutes I was done,I Dish out the food for them and take it to the room,when I was done I came down to watch TV a little before going to bed at 8 p.m.

I couldn't sleep,I was wondering why Jennifer hasn't called. it's almost the end of the month and her wedding is next month is she not planning anything,of course she must.

I need to get adapted I am her maid of honor for God sake.

I am sure she is over working her self that's why she's not keeping me updated,I picked up my phone to call her.

Jennifer is really trying she is the one planning everything,Anderson has given her enough money for the wedding and it's has been stressful for her.

I really feel her burden imagine planning for the whole wedding,well it's a joyful party not a sorrowful one so the stress is worth it.

After calling her,she gave update and I found out,I would be going out with her tomorrow for her dress and I am quite excited about that.

I rarely go out I stay indoor always,Jennifer was the one who tried taking the habit away from me but she couldn't.

Jennifer visit me so many times but I barely visit her, I have been to her house Maybe 4 times I tried right?.

I logged into some of my social media platform so as to know the latest news in the country but I found out that's the contest was trending everywhere.

I shut my eyes and drifted to dreamland

Ring Ring Ring

I scratch my head as the noise the Bell made on the door. Who could that be,I check the time and it was 5 a.m.

who could be at my door at this time,I stood up and unlock the door revealing who it was.

it was my dad I greeted him and I noticed is face you was looking worried but he had a smile on his face,i could tell that he was bothered.

"Dad what happened to you and why is your face pale" I asked worried

"well I am fine"he replied

" you are not,I have known you too well you can tell me anything I said,what's happened Dad"

"well would you make me stand at your door or you usher me in young lady" he asked his face told a emotionless story.

I opened the door more wider for him and he came inside, he look like he had been thinking he sat down gently on the bed.

"Dad just tell me what's happened, I can't see you in any kind of situation you know"

"okay what happened is that"he pause and look at me for sometime

"Look Lily don't get tensed up okay everything would be alright"he said.

I was already tensed up, worried and nervous At the way dad sound is making my fear increase

"Lily what happened is that I have been having sleepless night over a matter really critical,all what is involved is prayer and money.

money can still be solved but prayer is very important I really don't want you to be involved but you have to cause you are really concerned" he said in a quiet tone

I look at my dad and everything he said was understandable by me but it seemed like the source of the problem is a huge thing that's he can't tell, I could see fear in his eyes

"Dad what's bothering your mind, tell me all I want to know everything,all I want to know" I said almost at the Verge of tears

I don't want anything to happened to any of my parents I want them to be perfectly fine

"it's okay Lily but don't freak out when I tell you this okay"

"OK dad I promise"I put on a smile and compose myself and I was ready to hear any heart breaking news for now.

"Lily your mom condition brought me here"

" mum!! what happened to her?" I yelled.
