Chapter 4 No.4

"Aria it isn't a way, you speak to a guest" ma scolded me entering in my room.

"I know, I'm sorry, " I said guiltily.

"Don't apologize to me, apologize to him?" she said mentioning Tyler.

But He was long gone.

"I'll apologize to him when I next see him," I said sitting on my bed.

"You better," she said and left the room.

"And Aria?" She said popping her head in my doorway.

"Hmm?" I hummed

"Please try to forget about what happened, there is nothing we can do about it," she said with a sad expression.

"I'll try," I said giving her a small smile.

she went away.

And within no time Friday was gone.

"What would you like to have?" I asked the customers in a cafe, where I work as a part-time waitress. But only on weekends.

"How about you," said a guy with a smirk scanning me up and down.

I sighted. its the same line, lot of guys use on me, I'm fed up of replying those.

And before I could shoot back a remark. Someone did it for me.

That, someone, wrapped their arms around my waist from behind and pulled me closer to his chest.

"Sorry, buddy. She is already taken" Tyler said to that guy.

To which he raised his hands in surrender.

"Thanks. But I could have handled it" I said turning around to face him.

His face was dangerously close to mine. And his minty breath was fanning on my lips.

"I know," he said huskily

"Tyler?"

"Hmm?"

"Let go," I said. My heart was beating so fast, it might just jump out.

He instantly let go and scratched the back of his head, his cheeks turned pink.

Aww is he blushing?

I just walked past him, smiling uncontrollably.

"What was that?" Asked my boss Gwen.

I rolled my eyes at her.

"It was nothing, " I said making a cup a coffee.

"Well there has to be something because he can't keep his eyes off of you," she said grinning.

Well, she was right cause he was looking at me, smiling.

"Can you pass me that cup" I tried to change the topic

"Don't change the topic? " she said amused.

"I'm not, just trying to do my job," I said taking the tray of coffee and walking towards my customers.

The front door opened and in came my gang.

They do it every weekend. so my boss can be impressed with my work with the customers.

"Hey guys," I said giving everyone a side hug.

"Hey," they said.

"What can I get you, toady? " I asked taking out my notepad.

"The usual" everyone said.

"Hey is that Tyler brook? " Anna asked. Looking behind me.

"Yeah," I said.

"Hey Tyler comes over here, join us," she said.

The reason she knows him because they are seatmates in maths.

"You sure?" He asked looking at everyone.

They all waved at him to come over. And he joined them.

"Ok, what would you like to have?" I asked him.

"Just a coffee, " he said sitting beside Anna. And smiled at me.

"Ok I'll be right back, " I said and went to get their food.

They stayed back until my shift was over.

"Ok, guys lets go," I said as I changed to my regular clothes and swung my bag over my shoulder.

"Finally " Alex sighed dramatically. And earned a hit on the head from me.

"Ouch," he yelped rubbing his head.

"Such a drama queen, " I said rolling my eyes and I was not the only one.

"Where are we going, " Tyler asked.

"We are going to Peter's house, his grandma makes the best cookies," I said. I and Alex rubbed our tummy and licked our lips.

"I don't wanna intrude, " he said.

"Oh! You won't. my grandma will love you, you're a nice kid" Peter said patting on his shoulder.

"If it's ok," he said shrugging.

"It's fine," Peter said.

I and Alex looked at each other and gave a devilish smile.

"1,2,3.. the last person will be a rotten egg" we yelled and started running.

Everyone soon joined us. Peter's house wasn't far from here. it was at a walkable distance.

Tyler gave us an amused look but ran as well.

"Grandma we are home" I and Alex yelled painting, breathing heavily when we got in the house.

She just chuckled. She is like a grandma for all of us. But she loves me more.

I hugged her and kissed her cheek and so did Alex

"Where are the others?" She asked.

She a lady with grey hair, wrinkled skin, blue eyes, 5.2 height and fluffy like a marshmallow.

"They are slow," we said together. And high fived each other.

"Children " she mumbled amused.

Soon everyone came in.

"Grandma I would like you to meet someone, " Peter said hugging her and kissing her forehead.

"Yes," she said

"This is Tyler brook. He joined this year, and is our very good friend " he said pushing Tyler a little.

"It's so nice to meet you, " she said hugging him too.

"It's nice to meet you too," he said pulling away.

"We want cookies, we want cookies " me, Alex, Anna, Lucy, and Blake started banging the coffee table

"Ok ok I'll get it," she said went into the kitchen.

"Your grandma is very beautiful, " he said to Peter

"She is awesome, " I said raising my hands dramatically.

"Yeah, " he said sitting beside me on the couch

"Here you go," she said and bought the tray full of cookies with her.

And we attacked it like starving monsters.
