Chapter 2 Meeting him

Anabeth

"Recap: We walked into a large room full with tables and found our name cards. we looked at each other and nodded before sitting down ignoring all the stares we got from being the new ones. I look around curious and see some people my age and smiled a bit at them i knew they knew about me so their heads turn quickly making my eyes roll and i focus back in front of me. I took a deep breath and my eyes widened i smelled this amazing mint smell my wolf starts getting excited until i hear her scream in my head 'MATE' ."

I carefully look up already knowing his eyes were on me, I gulp seeing his handsome sculpted face. I openly check him out not caring anyone saw until i see a girls hand wrap around his arm. My wolf goes crazy yet i just get a stern emotionless look. I look away feeling jealous and in pain gulping down some water. Everyone stands up once the alpha and luna walk in we all bow before we can sit down again.

The alpha starts giving a speech but i look at only one guy, seeing as he's sitting next to the Luna i guess he is the alpha and Luna's son. I see the Beta and smile softly he was a nice men slightly his hair greying. Even though they say this is the most ruthless pack they understood my situation and after all everyone sticks up for each other as wolves as long as their pack stays safe. Once you become a threat you get kicked out and become a rogue. Luckily they know i don't mean any harm.

My family and I get greeted in the pack and had to go stand in front of the Alpha and Luna. The whole pack starts singing making me almost burst out laughing but i managed to keep it in as the song ends we clap and smile saying thank you and then turn towards our now new alpha who beat my ass about 2 weeks ago. I smile widely at him and he winks slightly letting me know everything will be okay.

His two hands go onto my shoulder and he smiles reassuringly "I, Raven Kane Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack, accept you Anabeth Taylor into my pack" he announces and we both feel the same thing as we close our eyes i feel wind blowing around us like we're in a hurricane yet we're the only ones to feel is. I feel the pack link get in hearing a lot of words almost getting sick of the magic that's happening. "can you hear me?" i hear in my head it was the alpha "yes i can Alpha" i reply and look up at him. After my parents got the same thing we had to drink some liquid to make the bond last.

Once we get back to our seats we get dinner served which was great and after that a dance happens i sit at the side not bothering to get up as i see my parents dance and laugh still so in love after so many years. i take my phone out and text a friend of my old pack until i feel a stare. When i look up i see the boy from earlier A.K.A. my mate and scoff "Can I have this dance?" i heard his deep smooth voice ask sending butterflies to my stomach. i see his hand stretched out and nodded grabbing his hand softly. His scent is stronger having him so close. We walk to the center of the room and start to dance slowly to Jessie ware say you love me. I hum along knowing the song by heart as i ignore all the tingles shooting up my arms straight to my heart and belly.

I felt so many stares and it made me slightly sick i closed my eyes and just let go putting more passion in this dance then i intended to. I felt him grab me closer and we were chest to chest i felt a rumble on his chest and heard a slight growl. "Mine" I heard him say through our mind link making me laugh softly. "But you're not mine" i whispered through our mind link. the song was over and i pulled away , letting him go, walking straight to the door and outside in to the cold air. i looked around and took a deep breath. I turned around just as the door closes and saw all the stares at me including his i smiled weakly and turned back around. i pulled my high heels off and ran down onto the road feeling free. i started to run letting go of the build up anger i felt just wanting to be free from everything.

After running for at least two hours, i sat down by a three panting slightly. I stared at the moon enjoying the silence as i blocked the mind link from my parents asking me where i was. I was so in thought that i didn't hear a twig snap until i saw a shadow. My eyes snap up to the person and i was ready to yell to stay away when i saw it was a scared little girl making me frown.

"The woods are dangerous out here you know" She whispers as she walks closer to my "oh yeah why's that?" i replied making her giggle "Because of the rogues silly" she kept giggling making me look at her weirdly "then why are you here?" i asked her making her stop giggling she looked familiar i just don't know why. "I'm not real Anabeth" My eyes widen as she said my name "WAKE UP" she screams.

I gasp as air filled my lungs and i opened my eyes "Anna sweetie" i heard i blinked a bit and i saw my family the alpha and Luna standing over me in the woods but the sun was up. "what happened?" i ask groggily "you were in trance sweetie" my mom whispered but hugged me close. "what?" i asked confused and looked at my dad looking for an explanation . "Anabeth, you left the dance at 11pm and we found you here at 2pm" The alpha says making me look up at him "so i was here the whole night?" i ask confused feeling like it has been only minutes not hours.

The alpha nodded "you should be glad Jack found you everyone was worried and out to look for you" he explained and i slowly sat up as my mom let go of me. "who?" i asked confused i didn't know any names yet only the alpha and Luna's name. "our son" Layla our Luna explained well at least i knew his name now. "Oh" i weakly said and stood up brushing leaves off my dress.

I got brought back to the pack house to get examined by the pack doctor, only for him to say the same thing i said that i was perfectly fine that i just needed to rest and eat. I stand up and got my shoes back on before going to the alpha's office. he takes my file and i tell him what i saw while i was in trance. I was the only one to have an actual file about my health but that was so they could report everything to the elder and the moon godess to make me stay safe and healthy.

There was a slight knock and before the alpha could answer Jack walked in with again a girl. My heart felt heavy as i saw him holding the girls hand but once he saw me he let go. "hey dad you needed me?" he smiles at his dad who nodded sternly "Kylie you can leave" he addresses to the girl who nods and bows as she leaves. I smirked damn i could just crush that girl. Perhaps it's time i fight for my mate after all he is MINE.
