Chapter 7 The

Mr Chin-Cheng and Aunt Frida decided to let Aaliyah dance her heart out in gratitude, as they watched her continuously, and Aunt Frida even had to joined in her celebration. When they were done dancing, they all ran to Aaliyah's mom. When they got there, Frida quickly congratulated her and embraced her.. while Aaliyah placed her hands on her mother's tommy, rubbing it and saying...

"My heart is so full of joy right now.. and I just can not contain it...I can not wait to see you and hold you up in my arms my little one.. I know you would come out to this our beautiful world as one of the most cute ones in this world!"

As she was talking and demonstrating, everyone was looking at her, seeing how excited she was. They all kept quiet and allowed her do her thing, while they watched. All they did was to smile..

Aaliyah said, lifting her hands up...

"Yeah.. I will no longer be alone again..."

Mrs Meiying was so surprised about the entire show coming from both her daughter, and her sister, Frida. She could decide from Aaliyah's statement that she was pregnant with another child. She held Aaliyah with both hands, and pushed her forward a little bit.. and then raised her voice at her!

"Come on.. keep your mouth shut right there, and right this very minute! Who told you that I am pregnant? Did you impregnate me.. you silly girl! Don't you ever... ever again... and I mean never ever say that rubbish again... because if you dare me... I would beat you sooo hard that you would cry and cry without stopping! Just try me!"

Aaliyah quickly ran away from her mother, and went straight to her dad, and wrapped her arms around him.. crying..

"Please darling.. don't you cry okay.. mummy is not just expecting this good news at all.. and that is the reason she is acting this way. So please.. calm down okay.." Mr Chin-Cheng said to her.

"But why would she be crying.. that means she has been very happy seeing me sad all these years....? Oh noooo"

She quickly released her hands from her father's body, and was just about running outside when the dad pulled her back to himself, and the mom said...

"Aaliyah baby... Please I am very sorry... I was just so surprised to hear that kind of news from you.. and not that I was not happy hearing it! Please I am sorry... Please.. come to mommy okay..."

Aaliyah left her dad's arms and walked straight to her mother, and she cuddled her as her little one.. petting and praising her beautiful hair.. eyes... nose..and every other part of her body, one at a time.

After a while, they left for their home. As they got back home, Mrs Meiying say the diamond necklace on her daughter's neck. She called her and she beckoned on her to come meet her. Aaliyah did, and her mom asked touching the diamond...

"Aaliyah.. I know I did not but this necklace for you.. so tell me... Who gave this to you?"

"Mom.. a friend did.."

"A friend.. what friend..? I mean, what kind of friend would give such an expensive necklace to a little girl of your age? I would love to see that good and kindhearted friend of yours." She asked out of curiosity.

And out of childlike mind, Aaliyah said to her mom..

"Alright mom.. I will introduce her to you when next she comes around."

"Alright my dear... I would be waiting..." And she said again in conclusion..

"Fine then! You can go now.."

Aaliyah left her presence and continued what she was doing.....

Afterwards... Aaliyah went to the backyard, held her diamond necklace, and immediately, the mermaid said...

"I can see that you are very happy now.. I am also happy for your happiness my dear pretty Aaliyah.."

"Unh.. you just called me by my name..?"

"Of course yes! I have always known you, even before you were born."

She became so surprised hearing that from the mermaid. Then said to her...

"I really want to thank you for granting my request. I wasn't even expecting it this soon. I am so grateful my good friend!"

It was great for this little pretty girl to know that just a mermaid friend could grant someone such a great wish. She became so attached to her that she wants to hear from her every single minute of the day, and even at night.

Few days later..

At a particular night, while Aaliyah was in her room seeing an interesting water movie, she payed so much attention to how the life in the water is. And wondered if humans would be able to live in the water like mermaids because they look like humans, but not completely humans. She remembered she's got a mermaid as a friend, so she picked up her diamond necklace and said to it..

"Hello my good friend! Please I do not know if you are sleeping already.. but if you are not, I would love to talk to you."

The mermaid quickly answered as she said..

"Hello Aaliyah... How are you doing tonight?"

"I am doing great, and hope you are doing just fine too?"

"Sure.. thank you pretty!"

"Please I've got two things to discuss with you tonight. I just hope you've got the time to talk to me, and possibly give me answers to my questions."

"Sure .. I've got all the time for you my princess...."

"Thank you my kind friend!"

"You are most welcome my dear.. kindly go ahead.. I am with you!"

"First thing is...

My mom and aunt wants to meet you because I told them a female friend of mine gave me this diamond necklace that I am wearing. And secondly...

How is your world over there in the water. I just saw it in a movie, but I believe you would describe it better to me. That's all... So please.. which one are you going to answer first?"

While Aaliyah was done talking to the mermaid in her room, and as the mermaid was about giving her some answers to what she said, her aunt Frida was passing by, when she heard Aaliyah's voice. So she stood right by her door, trying to listen to what she was saying, and to know who was in her room with her. After a moment of waiting, she could not hear any voice again, and she opened her door to see things for herself. Unfortunately for her, she met Aaliyah lying in her bed, and was busy watching and enjoying her movie.

Aunt Frida acted like she just went inside to collect something from her room, checking around to see if she could find anyone there, but fortunately for Aaliyah, she could not find anything nor anyone.

"Aunt, are you looking for something..?"

"Yes darling.. I am looking for one of my earrings. I laid here some moments ago, that's why I'm checking to see if I could find it here."

"Oh really.. I did not see any earring here today."

"Well it's okay..."

When aunt Frida saw that she could not find anything implicating, she left the room.. closing the door behind her. While Aaliyah continued with her movie. Aunt Frida still did not leave the door post, she stood there for another moment to listen some more, but she could not hear any voice again, except Aaliyah's voice each time she laughed.. and also the voices of the movie characters. After a while, she left the door post to continue what she was doing.

Meanwhile, the mermaid already knew that someone was there at the door, trying to listen to what they were saying. So.. she asked Aaliyah to hold on for a while, and that they would continue their discussion layer.. because her aunt was at her door listening to their conversation.
