Chapter 2 Hardening

"My boss wants to see you." The hooligan said to Luke. " I think you should follow me." He continued.

"Who's your boss?" Luke asked.

After that question another hot punch landed on his face. He felt weak and was down on the floor. The hooligan carried him on his shoulders and took him away. Luke was bleeding, he fainted due to the hard strike and the bleeding.

Ten minutes later he saw himself in a room with ten to twelve people all looking weird. He was made to sit on a chair with his hands tied behind him.

' Didn't do anything and i found myself inside a prison. Now people that i don't know have taken me a hostage. ' He thought of how he was a hostage inside a prison.

' The prison is a place where kidnappers are taken does it mean their business continues in here?'

As he was thinking a fairly old looking man entered the room. He didn't look like a prisoner. He was guarded, he was Ontor Muok, a former powerful politician. He was so famous everybody through the world was familiar with him. He was ousted as the country's president after the country went on a three months demonstration after his long term in office. The foreign governments intervened, countries like Nectis sent their armies to bring peace. Ontor Muok could later be captured and detained. He was there on charges of murder and corruption. He is also said to have defiled his subordinates during his reign as the country's president. How could Luke fail to recognize him?

" I have been studying you for a while young man and i can offer your freedom if you can deliver what i ask of you." Ontor Muok said to Luke.

Luke was so afraid he even didn't look at him. He nodded politely.

"I hope you know me, I am a man of my words and if you agree to do something for me then this prison walls will no longer be in your mind. You are going to be free." He continued promising.

Luke reminisced about his days before he was captured by the police forces. How he was spending his time with his girlfriend at the beach of Morimbori. How happy he was, then as he was going back home he was arrested and charged with attempts on terrorism. Luke was innocent but could not be able to defend himself. The law found him guilty and he was prisoned to the highly protected prison in the country.

"Young man am talking to you!" Ontor Muok yelled. His facial expression changed he frowned. Luke who was lost in deep thoughts of his passed days, looked up with his face full of fear.

"I am ready, sir!" he replied even before knowing what he was supposed to deliver. He was trembling in fear, he was really frightened that his conscience couldn't work at that time.

"Good, good, good." Ontor Muok said leaving.

Luke's eyes followed every Muok's step as his heart counted them. He saw Muok speaking to two guys while pointing at him. The two guys expression changed. They looked fierce and upon Muok's leaving they started approaching Luke. One of them was fastening the chain in his hand while the other one was holding a pliers in his hand. What are they going to do? Didn't Luke agree to their bosses term? Why were they looking like they would cause trouble on him?

"You need hardening." Said one man who wore a black t-shirt with a gun label in his chest. He had a tattoo of the word revolution on his neck. His body was well built and he had a fiery look.
