Chapter 5 SHE'S MY DAUGHTER

"You hurt my daughter and put her into the hospital," James said.

"I told you James to make it easy or hard you made it hard. I had to hold to my word." Nick said.

"She's just a kid, your niece, our flesh and blood," James said.

"No, she will never be a part of this family, not even her mother. You can't keep them away from me." Nick said.

"I won't let you hurt them anymore," James said.

"What are you going to do about James? I know where and when and how and also how much James. I'm always watching them no matter what you do to keep them safe because they never will be safe James, not when I'm around brother." Nick said.

That's when I knew I had to leave my family to keep them safe. But I made sure I had updates on them. Dean and his brother have a thing for my baby girl. I know they would keep her safe, but something tells me they would break her first.

I can't have that. I have to do something before it's too late. I don't want to hurt her but it's better than them. I made a phone call to another friend of mine.

"Hey, Josh. I need you to do me a favor? I need you to kidnap David Matches. Yeah, I know this will start a war, but I have to save my baby girl from them. Please do this and I'll handle the rest. Thank you, you're the man."

"I'm sorry, Dean but it has to be done. You will not hurt my little girl." James said

"You're wrong for this James and you know it," Dean said,

"You're a good man just not for my daughter Dean," James said

"Did you know we have kids?" Dean asked

"That's what I thought James, you haven't been in Jessy's life to know that," Dean said

"I may not have been in her life but I'm still her father," James said

"What makes you so perfect for her dean?" James asked

"That's what I thought you are nothing, but sex addicted," James said

Dean looked at James like he saw a ghost and wanted to punch him in the face but instead he walked away and went home to his family.

"Let my brother go, James. It doesn't have to be like this." Dean said

"But it does Dean it does because you won't listen to me. I'm not trying to take her away from you, but she doesn't want to be a part of the Mafia world." James said

"I know she doesn't want to be a part of the Mafia but what you are bringing her into it not me James I'm trying to keep her from it," Dean said

"You have no right to be talking when you have been between them girl legs in front of Jessy," James said

"I was waiting and building the courage to ask her out, but you told me she was off-limits, so I only had one-night stands," Dean said

"You think you can win my daughter's heart, okay but if you break it, I will kill you, Dean," James said

"Then do as you please because I'm not like you to leave my family behind unless I have to," Dean said

Then I went outside to calm down because I was about to kill because he knew I would never hurt Jessy on purpose. Yes, I may be sex-addicted but I can. No, he can't, that's why he left them behind and it kills me inside what he did.

Being in a relationship and dealing with the Mafia world takes strength and teamwork and I'm willing to do everything I can to make it work with me and Jessy. Why did James have to be like this now? I don't understand. James was my best friend. I never thought I would have to go up against him.

I don't want war but if I have to go against him, I will prove my love for Jessy and my kids. Now how would I explain to Jessy that her father wants war and won't let my brother go? Hold on David I'm coming and when we come all hell is coming with us.

We have to keep Jessy safe from all this. She doesn't want to be a part of a Mafia war. But I'm worried that she can't handle this fight. I have to call Hope and ask her what to do. I go to my office and call Hope.

(Call started)

Hope: Hey Dean, how are you doing?

Dean: Hey Hope, I have a question for you.

Hope: okay I'm all ears.

Dean: Your husband got my brother kidnapped because I'm dating Jessy. Now he wants war. I don't want to do that, but I have no choice and Jessy doesn't want any parts of the Mafia world. What should I do?

Hope: I know you and my husband have been friends awhile just give him what he wants just to do bring Jessy into it I will keep her and the kids safe

Dean: okay thank you Hope I will be home soon I have to save my brother

Hope: okay be safe now we love you

Dean: I will

(Call ended)

After I got off the phone with Hope, I headed over to Davids to tell him we have a war to prepare for and Jessy doesn't want any parts of it unless she's in danger. I just hope I'm doing the right thing. I don't want to put Jessy and our kids in danger like James because I won't be able to forgive myself. I can't let anything happen to her or our kids.

As soon as this is all over, we are moving and I'm stepping down from the Mafia world to take care of my family. I don't want this life for my kids. I will protect them with my life and I will do whatever I have to prove my point.
