Chapter 5 Memories

**Nancy's POV**

The car stops in front of my home. My home still is same although so many things changed all these years.

"Nancy!!!" my sixteen year old brother came running towards me. We used to fight a lot but since mom died, we became the closest ever.

"Why were you late? We were waiting for you since a long time," he says and pulls me inside the house.

Dad has prepared everything for the anniversary. We have some quite time in her memory and some good words with her. Nathan, describes his experience in middle school in front of her picture and sheds the tear.

I cannot help tearing out while he shares so much with mom.

"Nancy, your turn. I know you were always close to your mom. Why don't you have a quiet time with her?" he asks me and I nod my head.

They leave me alone in the room.

"Hey mom! How're you doing? Does heaven have lots if garden over there like you used to tell me? I guess it does. No wonder you were lost in it and forgot about me," I wipe away my tears away my cheeks.

"So, you know what my formula is soon going to be released and I will be a famous and quite rich personality soon. Won't you wish your daughter a good luck?" I wipe more tears.

"Mom! Kevin is good to me. Last month, he proposed me one more time and this is almost seventh time since the school. Don't you think now I should forget that guy and move on with Kevin. Tomorrow, we are going on date and I am sure I will stay happy with him. He loves me so much," I say.

This time more of tear gushes out from my eyes. The reason is simple. Kevin loves me but I don't love him.

I love someone who doesn't even cared to know about me all these years. He left me alone. He betrayed me. He insulted me in front of the whole school but even after that I cannot help but love that bastard all my youth.

After I am done with chit chat with mom, we have a quite sad family dinner. After the dinner, I rush directly to my room.

My old room!

During my youth, the window sill was my best place. Not because it used to give fresh air for my educational mind but because I could see Zion so clear from my window.

I had even installed my study table in front of it. But it was of no use.

With such a heavy heart, I trot towards the window sill.

My mind is shouting out loud. It is telling me not to force me towards the direction his house is but I am compelled to look at it.

My heart urges me to do it.

I see the lights on his house and it makes me quite shocked.

Since, last seven years this is the first time, I have ever seen light in that house. No one used to live over there.

"Zion? Are you back?" My heart asks virtually and I can't wait to meet him.

I run towards his house. The house which sometimes used to be my favourite place. That was the place where I had first told him, I loved him.

That was the place where he had hugged me so warmly for the first time and that was also the place where I lost my virginity to him, the place where I had my first ever sex in my life and maybe the only sex till now in my whole life.

I knock the door. I am so excited to see him.
