The red shirt guy was dropped off to his house first. He lived in a nice house with nice groomed flowers by the sides. He was supposed to be a gentleman or so his family thought.
"Matthew is nice but he is too quiet." Edward said after he had left the car. When Tony first met them, he thought Edward was actually the boss but he found out that it was Tom. Tony found out that Edward always liked getting noticed and always acted like the boss.
"He is also so slow and we don't need slow people." He was talking about the red shirt guy. Even before Tony joined them, he knew that they were using him, the red shirt guy, to run their dirty errand. Tony sometimes had pity for him but he couldn't do anything for you. Everyone had to fight for themselves.
"But you." Edward said hugging him roughly, "you are what this group needs." Edward said again laughing so loudly. Noah in the driver's seat was also smiling broadly.
"Did you notice Alicia?" Edward asked.
"You mean the girl you're crushing on that doesn't like you." Tom said laughing but it didn't sound funny to Edward at all.
"I don't like her, Dude." Edward denied, something he always did when he doesn't want someone to know something about him.
Maybe, dude but she's really fine." Noah said grinning. "What do you think Tony?"
"Yes, she is." Tony knew he shouldn't get himself involved in Edward's mess.
Edward gave him a serious look.
"Am just joking, man. It's a joke."
"You coming to school tomorrow?" Edward asked Noah.
"Not sure, bro." Tom answered. He was the one who made decisions about his life. With his Dad always away and the money always at his reach, he could do anything he wanted. He lived alone and a long way from school. He only came to school whenever and however, he wanted.
"Is your Dad coming home?"
"Don't know." He answered as he pulled over to Tony's house.
Thanks, guys" Tony greeted shaking both their hands as he got down. He watched them drive away and then checked his phone and it was 12:06.
He really hoped everyone was asleep especially his Mum. She wasn't so happy that he was going to this party and coming back by this time would worsen the way she feels.
He was about knocking on the door when he remembered that he didn't take with him a spare key. He should not have forgotten it. Knocking on the door meant waking everyone including Mum and that wasn't what he wanted.
He took out his cell phone and was about calling Francis when the door clicked on. Tony was shocked and surprised to see his Mum at the door. He wondered what happened and why she was awake by that time.
Good evening, Mum." He was actuAlly confused on what to greet. It was midnight.
Theresa was not happy and Troy knew this. He wanted so bad to ask her why she was still awake but he didn't want to bring up the issue of going to the party again. Tony's guess was that she was doing some office work. She sometimes stays late working but not this late though.
"There's milk on the table with some biscuits. Do you want me to microwave some food for you?"
"No, Mum. Am ok." He said observing her. She looked tired and weak.
"There's milk on the table with some biscuits." Theresa said nothing else, she quietly went back into her bedroom which was close to the sitting room.
Tony wasn't so hungry but he took some biscuIts anyway. He was tired. He went up To his room slowly and heard some noise in the bathroom. He guessed Francis was still awake.
"You're still awake."
"Yea." Francis didn't look up. He was washing his face. Tony saw how how he was trying to be sarcastic and smiled. What Francis knew how to do well was to be nice.
"Mum was worried about you, so I waited with her for you. She needed the help, she was so tired." Francis said, looking at his brother with new found interest.
He went back to his room. Tony didn't bother about asking about his Dad because his guess was that he was soundly asleep since he was the one that gave him the permission to go out.
Tony knew Francis was trying to make him feel guilty but that wasn't going to let that happen. He felt bad though, about his Mum waiting so late even though she had work the next day.
Tony washed his face. He wanted to take his bath but he was too tired to do anything and he had school and basketball tomorrow which was going to be so stressful.
He took a deep breathe, he had been stressed the past few weeks with both school, basketball and now this ne friends of his. He knew deep down that they could get him to trouble but he wasn't concerned about that, he had one goal which was to be famous and powerful. That might seem as a silly goal but Tony wanted it so bad, he was willing to do anything.
He decided to sleep right away because Tomorrow was a big day for him. He only laid down on his bed and in the next five minutes, was already asleep.
