Chapter 5 Introductory Gestures

CHAPTER 5

He was still as handsome and breathtaking she remembered, looking so hot in his worn out Jean trousers and a blue T-shirt with the store's logo printed atop, Sara couldn't take her blinking eyes off him.

"Hey love!" he said again and Sara whose mind was far off, shaked her head wearily and cleared her voice.

"Wait you guys know each other from somewhere or something, ermmmm, Oh my God, Christian is she the girl you have been telling me about, the one you have been going on and on about, the one who has also been the cause of your sleepless nights lately." Daniel asked his face lighting up like a kid being offered his favorite candy.

"Oh shut up for God's sake!" Christian muttered quietly, his friend was definitely going to put him in trouble.

"Hey, em how are you doing." Sara said at last, he had feared that she was not going to reply him, and was surprised and also elated when she finally did.

"Aren't you going to introduce us, ummm, Miss Sara." her friend inquired suggestively winking at him.

He made of to do the introductions himself, when Sara signalled him to stop whilst raising her cute little fingers at his face.

"I'll do the introductions myself, before you begin with your signatory handshake, Well, Christian meet my best friend Ariel, and vice-versa minus the friend." Sara said laughing quietly.

God she was so gorgeous, her laughter lighting up the whole place and breaking the almost chilled silent atmosphere forming already.

He couldn't get thoughts of kissing those pert pink full lips over and over again, of laying her down on a comfy spot, doing unmentionable things to her

Removing all illicit thoughts from his head, and trying hard not to lose focus, Christian introduced Daniel his friend to Ariel, they exchanged pleasantries and held hands for a long time, the way he was looking at her, it seemed he had already taken a liking to her.

Smiling to himself, Christian turned to face Sara and said- .....

"So we meet again, what actually brought you, or the both of you girls to the store rather, want to purchase something, pick anything, Bills on me alright."

Stunned, Sara's eyes bulged outwardly 'Bills on him', was he really serious, she turned to face Ariel to gauge her reaction, but her friend was already busy replying him, oh God.

Staring dumbfoundedly and lost not even knowing what to say to him she heard Ariel reply, "Bills on you, wow what a real gentleman, but that's not why we are here okay, we are here for something very important, so can I go on?"

Nodding his head Christian answered her, "Yes, you can go on."

"Okay, thanks so much, well you know the signboard you guys placed outside?"

"Signboard, what signboard." Daniel asked.

"The one advertising the job vacancy for the post of a sales girl or boy." Ariel answered.

Christian's eyebrows perked up as if he had an inkling as to what they wanted to ask for, but not letting his thoughts cloud his judgement, he asked, "Yeah, are you guys looking for a vacancy for someone or..?"

He stopped halfway deciding to listen to her but Sara spoke up.

"Yeah, actually, it's something of that sort, but we are actually looking for the position for ourselves, and as you can see we are not qualified, you know in the job requirements you listed that...." Sara was still talking when Ariel interrupted.

"Oh God, Sara fucking shut the hell up, don't mind her or listen to any word she utters from her mouth, you see, we are not eligible quite alright as my friend here said, but we are reliable to do this job, any pay whether big or small is acceptable, we really need it, and we will be glad if you can employ one of us."

She had a sassy and loud mouthed friend, that was for sure.

Sara sighed and said "You see, we are just 16, first of all and the advertisement outside read 18 years of age, and you also need an high school certificate, which we also don't have, as we are not yet done with schooling."

"For you, I would do anything." Christian replied.

'He would do anything' what did that even mean, Sara looked up at his enchanting blue eyes, she could drown in them and she laughed shyly, she knew she was blushing already but she didn't care.

"You would do anything for me, heh and what does that even mean if I may ask?" she asked.

"The job is yours already." Christian replied looking serious.
