Chapter 3 To Survive (1)

I started getting used to killing people, wiping off the blood on my face, and seeing blood on my white robe every day. I was still a child, but I didn't even blink when I killed people.

When Xiao Yan died, I kept casting the Blizzard Seal to escape a short distance each time. I really admired them for keeping running after us. I wasn't an adult, so the power of the Blizzard Seal I cast was almost unable to carry me, let alone one more people -the unconscious Xiao Rang. Each time I got a rest and saw his face that looked very like Xiao Yan's, I cast the Blizzard Seal to flee again while biting my teeth.

They finally caught up with us when we took a rest one day. That was also the first time that I had killed people. Xiao Rang had woken up for a long time and polished the knight's spear stained with blood very clean. His eyes became sharp, but he always looked at me with his eyes full of tenderness. Thus, I always felt that Xiao Yan didn't die at all. When I was in a trance, I even felt the two were so like each other.

Xiao Rang always sang a song symbolizing the spirit of the knight when we were at rest.

His deep voice spread over, even making the cold ice rotate backward. That song was originally passionate, but I felt it dismay and sad. His voice passed through the clouds and glaciers that remained unchanged for thousands of years, filling in the vast snowland. Xiao Rang really sang the song with his life, which made the others resonate with him.

When Xiao Rang sang the song one day, I sat on the ground to recover my spiritual power. We still needed to continue the short-distance escape at least for over a month, by which we would become safe. When Xiao Rang stopped singing, I immediately put my two hands together, and I even felt the hair on my back stood on end. The snow around me started swirling silently with a slight roar.

As Xiao Rang placed the huge knight's spear before his chest, the demeanor of a knight gradually came into being.

"You two have fled so fast." That wasn't an aged voice. "I'm Han Yuan, an Ice Wizard."

I turned around and said, "Elder Han Yuan, you come here in person. You speak too highly of us."

Even if I got exiled from the Imperial City, I still knew that Elder Han Yuan was quite famous on the entire snowland. As one of my father's competent go-getters, he had made great contributions to my father. Besides, he was so skilled at the Ice Wizardry that no one in the Imperial City could be a match to him. Xiao Rang frowned, for even a moron knew that we were in great danger.

"Haha! That's because the reward from the eldest prince is too abundant. Even if I didn't come here, you'd be dealt with by the other strong guys. So why not me?" said Han Yuan in the midair. Under his feet was a fine layer of snow. Stand-In-The-Midair required a precise control, which I and Xiao Rang couldn't do now.

"Reward? I'm very curious what reward my brother promised you stimulates you to kill me at the risk of your life."

"Half of the Imperial City. Hahaha, I'll kill you soon!" As Han Yuan spoke, he cast out a huge ice ball. The ice ball rushed toward me with a fierce roar that even sucked the surrounding air.

"Let's run." I immediately pulled Xiao Rang whose physical body was rather weak. I covered the third finger of my hand and attempted to display the Blizzard Seal again.

We were unable to kill Han Yuan, so we had to adopt every measure to escape.

"Want to flee?" Han Yuan remotely froze the air around us, and then the Blizzard Seal was stopped.

I pushed Xiao Rang away. "Run!"

I leaped high with the desire to survive filling in my chest. I cast a seal once again and generated an Ice Leopard. As I shouted, it roared, accelerated its speed, and then rushed at Han Yuan.

"Humph, what a small trick!" said Han Yuan. He hit the ice ball at the size of five or six people with a backhand, and then it ran over the Ice Leopard. In the beginning, the leopard bit the ball. But, it roared in pain when the ball started running over it. Finally, it became the crystal ice again. Han Yuan humphed again and made the ice ball at the size of three or four people hurtle toward me with a forehand.

I made a dodge. Since I was too young, it was already my limit to generate an Ice Leopard. If I were an adult, I wouldn't feel afraid of Han Yuan!

"Your Highness, when do you on earth stop running away? Do you expect Xiao Yan to come here to rescue you? He must have been killed by those who haven't found you. Perhaps, he might have been cut into pieces. Hahaha!"

A knight's spear hurtled at Han Yuan from behind but missed the target at all.

"Your little weak knight, you're more useless than your useless father!" When Han Yuan was done talking, he generated a huge hand in the midair, grabbing Xiao Rang by his throat.

"Go to hell!"
