Chapter 4 The day they met

Rosie sits in awkwardness rubbing her hands in anxiousness.

What she has heard about this man , could no way justify him.

Logan King

His aura alone deadly enough to make everyone bow their heads,his grey eyes pools of coldness ,seeing right into her soul right now.

The man was beautiful without a doubt ,but a forbidden fruit too.

From what she has heard, he not like the rest. He was even worse.

He doesn't order obedience, he lives on it.

No one goes against him of they end up dead , being killed brutally.

However surprisingly , no one speaks about his association with any women.

Not in his pack, neither in the council.

It's either he is an expert in covering his tracks or he simply despises women , considering them to be a weakness.

A man of few words and the strongest member of the council.

He was truly a very dangerous man.

"I apologise on behalf of my Beta. The means he used for negotiation were highly inappropriate."

He says and Rosie looks shocked for a second.

His presence here alone was a surprise and now this.

Did he Just apologized?

With one leg placed on the other,he screamed power and respect.

His words sounding genuine,but Rosie can't trust him.

Who knows what he was planning?

"Alpha Logan, you are a powerful man in the society. I know how it is for you to raid a pack and enslave innocents. No one question you, why are you apologizing? I doubt your intentions."

He stares and just stares.

Did I infuriated him? Rosie wonders,staring back at him.

"You have heard wrong about me Ms Rosie. Maybe your father never told you much about our world order. I apologised because I feel I did wrong. Enslavement is not my way,or you wouldn't be sitting in front of me ,asking me these questions."

Rosie gulps,getting the warning in his tone.

She looks down,feeling scared.

He was way more powerful,he can kill her and get this done with ,but he was still discussing.

"Now, coming to business. You already know ,no one will accept your position as the Alpha. You will be challenged,with the first opportunity they get. And your defeat is inevitable."

Facts,she couldn't refute that.

"So I offer you a deal. Hand over your title to me and I will make sure you all are protected. You can stay here,you won't be required to relocate to my pack."

"You need protection ,which I can assure you. I need this territory. Simple"

Rosie gulps. Can she trust this man?

What if he betrays just like his pathetic Beta did.

No ,she can't agree.

No man is to be trusted, a powerful person like him?

Never!

"I am sorry Alpha but I don't agree to this"

Logan's hand stops. The paper weight in his palms no longer rotating.

He was not used to people not agreeing to him, especially weak women like her.

He was being gentle till now,but guess what,maybe they don't understand the things the easy way.

Sighing he gets up, done with this.

"I thought you were intelligent Ms Rosie. I thought your father raised you better."

He was hitting her soft spot, enjoying seeing her reaction.

So predictable and gullible.

No way suitable for the position of an Alpha.

"Don't you envolve my father in this! You guys refused to help us,when we needed help! Some pathetic excuse of an Alpha you are!"

He doesn't respond,not showing if he was offended.

His next words surprising her

"So you decide to approach Rebel for help. If I am not wrong Ms Rosie"

She freezes,how does he know?

No one was spared ,then how come he came to know it was Rebel's doing.

"Rebel is a criminal Ms Rosie. A declared wanted by the council. Seeking help of such a person and associating with him can leave you behind the bars"

"So what? Atleast he saved us from beasts like you! Men like you disgust me Alpha Logan! Blackmailing women to get your way, isn't this what you are trying to do right now?"

Logan steps towards her, making her step back.

Cornering her,he smirks at her

Admiring the girls bravery.

"Do you realise who you are talking to Ms Rosie? And blackmailing, I don't need to blackmail weak bit*** like you.

I can end your pathetic existence in a mere second."

"Step...back-"

She says afraid and he steps closer instead.

His aura making her automatically submit to him when she was Alpha blood herself.

"Sign these papers and live Rosie. I will not be asking you the second time."

He says slamming a sheet of paper on her table and offering her a pen.

She felt suffocating.

This man was no way like the other men she has met.

"I... can't"

She manages to say when Alpha Logan narrows his eyes at her.

The nerve in his forehead ticking, and his patience running out.

"Sign it Dammit!"

He screams slamming his hand on the table, making the table to crack into two.

She trembles in fear,her hands fisted in front of her.

This man can kill her any second,the fear of death surfacing

"I.. can't...I am no longer the Alpha..."

Her words made Alpha Logan to go silent. His eyes changing colour from dark black to his normal Grey's.

Hand clenching the paper ,ruining it.

"What do you mean?'

He asks,tilting his head to a side, unable to understand this.

When she clarrifies it further.

"I renounced the title yesterday. I am not the Alpha of Silvermoon pack now"

He stares ,his next words coming out low and dangerous.

"Then who is?"

Rosie was scared. She was alone,he can kill her for not answering.

Trying to hide from his gaze,she tries to side step when his bulging arm blocks her exit.

"I asked who is the Alpha girl!"

Before Rosie could open her mouth to answer a voice speaks from behind them.

Making the Alpha to freeze

"I am"

He couldn't dare to turn around.

The voice,the fragrance.

Too much for him.

His beast started rejoicing in his mind and he clenches his fists.

Rosie looks at the door in shock and manages to go past him towards the girl.

He didn't turn.

He just couldn't.

He hated the idea of a mate.

The idea itself revolting for him.

Having a girl as his weakness,protecting her all his life to protect his own sanity in return.

It was all bullshit for him.

He has seen great powerful men die because of this matebond,turning weak and helpless.

And no way in hell will he become like them.

If he has to still have a mate to bear his children and carry forward his legacy.

She was to submit to him completely.

Obliging to every word he says and taking care of him and their children.

An obedient and caring mate in all respects.

But that voice? It was bold and fearless. Defying and arrogant.

No way near a submissive,instead the very opposite.

"Turn around! Turn around!"

His beast was running in circles in his mind , asking him to see his mate.

To see his destined.

But he was reluctant.

Even fearful of the fate this girl with bring and the challenges he will have to face because of her.

He dares finally, taking a deep breath and turning around.

The sight he saw made his heart to throb and become audible in his ears.

She was breathtaking.

Long brown hair cascaded down her back to reach her hips, perfect brows, a small button nose.

Perfectly tan skin , luscious full lips.

Perfect in all respects.

Except for those eyes.

They were not lowered in submission,instead they were staring back at him.

Defying them the very first time he sees them.

They were pools of innocence though,sucking him in their depths.

And be found himself captivated by them.

When suddenly something flashes in those brown orbs as she realises who he was.

Making him smirk

He recollects the last words that the girl spoke.

She was the Alpha now,the person he has to convince.

The idea suddenly felt very interesting as he approaches her.

Making the girl Rosie to hide behind her,while his mate lifts her head in fearlessness.

"Hello mate."

His words made Vera to clench her fists ,her eyes changing colours from brown to hazel as she feels her wolf surfacing.

He knew he will win this negotiation already because the person that stood in front of him was already his.

Her body,her soul,her everything.

They all belonged to him ,this territory , nothing compared to them.

She was his completely and he will make sure she knows it.

These defiant eyes have to lower, this high held head has to bow.

But just for him.

And he will make sure nothing can ever raise against her.

He will be her protector,her saviour.

Her everything if only she agrees to be his completely.
