Chapter 3 Mother

The door opens with the loudest and most unbearable creaking sound ever. Standing before me are about a hundred more beings with the same dress code and physic as the creature holding on to me. Thank God I didn't try to escape. I thought there could be dozens!?.. There are hundreds!

The creature reduces its tight grip on my arm and carefully ushers me into this coven. Hall... You get the point~ right?.

Goosebumps cover my entire body. Something seems off and this is the worst feeling I have felt in a long time. The last time I felt like this was when I was left in an elevator by my mother. It was an accident and I was just eight years old when that happened. But now, this is more intense and worse.

I climb up on the... Podium? And stand before the other creatures. I don't make a move from where the creature left me and I watch in silence as it walks towards its fellow... Creatures.

I look to my right and the sight nearly gives me a heart attack. I practically feel my lungs cling to each other. It takes a lot for me not to gasp. There are over a hundred... Oh, who am I kidding!?.. There are definitely above five hundred children before me. Some my age, some younger and some older.

I thought I looked like a street kid!? They look worst!. They look like HIV malnourished patients. Am I going to join them!?. Oh God, this turning out to be 'Mommy's house'. Harry couldn't have pulled this off, could he?.. Where would he get the money!?..

My heart begins to pound as these people bore holes into my skin with their eyes. Looking so intensely one would feel they could see through me.

A figure emerges from the midst of the creatures. Walking gracefully towards me. It wasn't till it got close enough that I realized it is a woman.

A creepy woman. Her face as white and plain as snow, her lips red as blood she also has a hood on. Covering every part of her head and body but her hands and face. But the most alarming is her eyes. They are somehow as red as blood but you still see red flames in them. Looking at her, I picture the cartoon snow white wearing red riding hoods hood. Bit this time, black and long. Imagine her eyes as red and intense as you can.

"Welcome," she says smiling. Her voice having a strong filling of dominion in it. Her voice calm, soothing but yet unsettling at the same time.

I don't know how to respond so I just stand there with an expressionless face.

"Welcome my darling daughter," she says again, smiling and coming close to me.

'My darling daughter!? ' this is turning into the story ' mommy's house' did I get jinxed by reading the book!?... No, no, no. I can't survive what Bella did. I would die in a day. Hell no!. God, what's happening??.

She suddenly embraces me and the odor she is emitting causes my eyes to sting. So much so, they begin to water. It smells like a coat that is damp and not properly dried, then add the smell of blood to that, then add that of sweat, and then rain, and then dust, and leaves and a whole bunch of other stuff. Believe me when I say she smells worst than a dead rat. Doesn't she know what perfumes and rollon are!?

I suddenly hear something. The same sound you hear in Chinese movies when a sword is being drawn. And within the twinkle of an eye, a fist full of my brown hair is with her!.. She cut my hair to shoulder length!!!.... How dare she! It took five whole months to grow that. Five relentless months of conditioning and taming!.

Anger pumps through my system and I charge towards her. Immediately I do so, I hear the kids gasp and the creatures all come at me at once!.. They stop in sync when she raises her hand. She signals them to return to their position and they do just that.

"How dare you do that!? " I scream at her. My thin finger pointing at her.

"My dear Sonia, you have always been a feisty one. That's one of the reasons I like you," she replies smirking.

"But you need to calm down now. This is my mansion. And here is nothing like the outside world" she replies looking me In the eye with a face void of emotions.

Suddenly, she takes hold of my arm which was pointing at her and she places hot metal on it. The same metal that had been in the fire on the table all along. I scream the loudest I probably ever have In my whole life as I feel the pain shoot through my entire body. I watch with tears in my eyes, my skin clings to the metal as she pulls it off. Leaving a mark like that of the letter eight lying down on my arm.

"That's your identity dear, never forget that" she states pointing at the bleeding mark.

Angry flows through me so much so it affects my sight. With wild, mad steps I fling myself at her throwing the bowl of hot coal on her body. The coal burns the coat but seems to not affect her. She looks at me with anger and suddenly a smirk creeps onto her face.

"I love your bravery dear daughter. One of the things that attracted me to you " she says as she waves her hand over her coat. Instantly mending the holes the coals caused on it.

"But that's no way to treat your mother! " she screams as she raises her hand in my direction. Instantly, I begin to feel the walls of my throat closing. Making it hard for me to breathe. Wild vibration takes over my body as it feels as though my lungs are about to explode. It feels as though my brain is about to erupt. My sight and hearing become faints as blood begins to escape my nose and mouth.

"Stop!! " I hear a male voice call and instantly, my body system returns to normal. I lay on the floor. Tears escaping my eyes as I mercilessly gasp for air.
