Chapter 4 When two hearts meet

I love Chris more than myself and I can give up anything just to be with him. Our relationship was not that of love at first sight, rather we were just good friends that fell in love with one another. The first time I met Chris I didn't notice anything particular about his physical features, to me he was just another boy in school. However, with each passing day as we spent more

Time together, I started to notice that his lips were sensuous, he had dark eyes that kept me mesmerized and I found it difficult to look away. He wasn't muscular but his lean frame was the sexiest body I had seen before. He had skin like chocolate and he was perfect.

I knew I had fallen in love with him when I started looking forward to being with him. I never wanted our discussion to end, I found ways to prologue our interaction with each other. Chris was a total package, he was intelligent, athletic, and funny, he made me laugh without trying.

When our mutual talkative friend Nathan asked us to make out, I wished the ground would open up and swallow me up. I thought I had been careful in hiding what I felt but apparently not. But what got me sad after the incident was Chris's behavior towards me, he ignored me and wouldn't spend time with me. I felt lost without him, even though we weren't dating then he still meant a lot to me even when I tried to talk to him, he brushed me off. Angry, I walked away determined not to talk to him again.

Nathan took matters into his hand, he was the perfect matchmaker, though his sense of humor could be worrisome at times. He made me believe he was unwell and needed my help, when I came over Chris was also there. I couldn't stay angry with Chris for a long time. When I saw him, I wanted to rush into his arms and stay there but I had to control myself and stay still.

Nathan made us see how selfish and childish we were both acting. " I hope you guys are not fighting because of what I said the other day." Nathan looked from me to Chris who was still standing by the door, his hands crossed across his chest.

No reply came from either of us. "I feel so stupid right now, I shouldn't have said that I'm sorry.'' Nathan pleaded.

When Chris spoke I was surprised, it wasn't what I expected him to say, I thought he hated me but that wasn't the case which was pleasing to me. "Don't be, Nathan. You weren't wrong with your assumptions, on my part," he added for obvious clarification but where I sat I was thrilled but I didn't show it. I wanted to be asked out on a date by him.

Well, nothing of such happened though we spent the whole day with Nathan, we stayed indoors in his room. Nathan's father was a wealthy lawyer and his room had almost all the up to date gadgets, we played games, watched some movies, I would have preferred some romantic movie as I wanted to rewatch Just like heaven acted by Mark Ruffalo and Reese Witherspoon but the boys won't let me and we ended up watching action movies, which I

I enjoyed watching with them. It was a fun-filled day; the only downside was not hearing those magic words from Chris.

I and Chris continued being friends, I had already developed strong feelings for him, and from what he said the other day at Nathan's home I knew he felt the same. I felt so frustrated because he refused to vocalize what he felt.

Our first kiss was unexpected but welcomed, we had gone to the beach with some group of friends when Chris suggested that we should go for a walk, the wind from the sea felt nice on my skin, when he took my hands suddenly, I felt warmth fill my whole body. It felt so right and nice.

Then he stopped and turned to face me, my eyes caught him and I drowned in its beauty when he started speaking to me my eyes went to his lips and my mind flooded with thoughts of him kissing me. I shook my head slightly willing myself to banish the thoughts that lingered in my mind's eyes.

" I love you Selena, more than mere words can describe."

Smiling sheepishly I replied, "I love you too Chris."

I noticed he hesitated a bit before he grabbed me by my waist and drew me closer to him "I want to kiss you so badly."

"Then what is stopping you." standing on tiptoe I leaned closer and our mouths met, it was slow but passionate. When we parted our lips I felt flushed. It wasn't my first kiss but it was my best. My skin tingled with excitement as our bodies locked in a passionate embrace.

"Let's go back to the group, they are probably wondering where we are."

"Yes, we should." We came to the beach as just friends but we are going back home as lovers. The day went well indeed
