Chapter 4 Regular, College Coffee Girl

Scott POV

The cool feeling on my face and the liquid drooping down my chest made me realize she spilled coffee on my face. She pulled out a white cloth I well recognize to be mine and handed it to me.

"Here. Clean yourself up" she said and walked off. I stared at the piece of clothing seating on the table and then at my soaked jacket. For the first time since I met her, which has only been twice now, I felt anger boil deep within me. Not anger of the coffee on me but the anger that she had the nerve to do that. I stood up, walked back to the bar counter, and grabbed her hand.

"Let go of me this instance!" She squealed. I nodded apologetically at the blonde and then pulled Stormy out with me. She kept trying to get away from my grip but in vain. We finally left the cafe before I let her go. She started for the cafe again but I grabbed her by her waist. She kicked and hit my chest. What kind of feisty girl is this?! I can almost hear Kale mocking me and saying you got yourself a feisty one. Kale is my best friend.

"Would you stop it!" I yelled. She stopped kicking and then glared at me.

"Let go of me"

"No. If I do, you'll run away"

She sighed rolling her blue orbs. "What do you want?" She finally asked.

"Thank you for being civilized" I smiled. Her brows twitched in annoyance. What a temper the little thing has.

"You're the one acting like a caveman, stomping in, causing a whole lot of commotion, and then dragging me out" she rumbled. She kept tapping her feet against the pavement. She was right though but I wasn't ready to admit that.

"Well, at least now you're not whining" I grumbled.

"Well at least now you're not yelling or trying to be cave-like" she pouted. I caught myself staring at her lips until she sighed, distracting me. "I'm going back in and if you even think of following me, I'll call 911" she threatened with a finger. I chuckled.

"Good luck with that"

She frowned and then stormed away. I watched her until she disappeared back into the cafe. I sighed before getting back into my car. All I wanted was to talk to her and I messed it up. Great! Nice job Scott. I can talk to a lot of hot chicks at once but not a regular, college, coffee girl.

*****

Staring blankly into the darkness of my apartment, all I could see was Storm. She was staring at me and pouting. I turned the Tv off allowing darkness to take me completely. It was always the same routine in my apartment. I make burnt pancakes before bed and then watch some movies while I drink but tonight, my brain wasn't cooperating.

The clicking of my door opening made my seat up. I dropped the TV remote and got up moving toward the door of my apartment.

"Scott!"

I switched on the light revealing Kim in a short black dress. Her hair was perfectly styled. Her heels in hand and a smug smile on her lips. Other days, I'd sweep her up and land her on my bed but not tonight. I was focused on something else. Or someone else. Kim is just a friend...well, like a friend with lots of benefits.

"How can you have all the lights out" she grumbled and poured herself a glass of water.

"What are you doing here?"

She looked shocked at my question. "I just thought you needed me. Kale told me you've been acting strange lately" Kim came and stood in front of me running her long nails down my bare chest. As weird as that was, I wasn't turned on.

"I'm fine" I brushed her off and poured myself a glass of water too.

"You're not saying I should leave are you?" She looked hurt and disappointed but at this moment, I care-less.

"Maybe. Look, Kim, I just need to rest" I got up from the stool after dumping my cup in the sink. Kim did the same and followed me back to the sitting room.

"Well, let me help you relax" she grinned and started taking her dress off. Maybe that's what I need. A distraction. Kim slid her gown off so she was only in a fancy lace bra. She smirked with that fiery red lipstick mouth of hers and I remembered Storms' lips. Soft nude pink and completely kissable. I shrugged.

"Just leave" I groaned. Kim looked disappointed as she wore her gown again and stomped off like the spoilt kid that she is. I returned to the darkness. My darkness. While wallowing in it, I wondered why she was getting into my head so much. Storm. The girl with black long hair, blue eyes, and pink lips. It's like every part of me wants her. But why? I've only known her for three or two days?

*****

I woke up with the nightmares again breathing hard. Flames and the cry of a little boy invaded my dreams making me sweat all over. It was always the same every night. I stared around. Darn! I slept on the couch. No wonder my back aches so much.

Iced water sounded like a great idea so I had it. It did help me a little bit. I strolled up to my room and landed on the bed. My white handkerchief laid there on my left pillow. The same one I offered Storm. I took it sniffing it. I swear her scent was still on it. A sweet chocolate lingering scent. I drifted off to sleep with a better image in my head. Storm. She was smiling at me and offering me Knishes.

*****

It was no news I woke up with a shattering headache. No actually, I woke up with a bad headache. It was Monday again. Which meant having to sit in those business classes again. I stick my leg out of bed and felt them on my warm, brown rug.

I caught sight of the white clothing on my pillow and grinned. Stormy Banks. The reason the girl affects me so much, I can't understand. Already, being close to her, I always seem to be amused. And to think I've only known her for a while, and she's already turning my world upside down. I'm coming for you, Stormy Banks.
