Chapter 5 Another day of my life

I settled down on my chair and looked around as everyone chatted loudly, some played around and disturbed those who were quiet

Soon, the door opened and my handsome man walked in smartly looking around sternly

I smiled and placed my head on my desk as I looked dreamily at him

Everyone kept quiet as everywhere silenced down immediately

'Hello '

Everyone smiled and chorused

'Hello sir'

He nodded and moved on the board and faced us all again

'Today, what we would be treating is....'

A phone rang immediately

'Sorryy..I'll be right back'

Sherlock walked over to the other side of the class and picked up his phone as he went out to receive it

'Hello doctor, how is he'

The doctor sighed over the phone and said sadly

'He isn't listening..he keeps smoking secretly and it's causing damage to his liver,I told you he had just a few months to live..I don't know what else to do'

Sherlock ran his hands over his hair and sighed

'I'm sorry, I'll caution him next time and he won't try to do it again'

'You don't have to apologize, it's not like I'm the one getting affected,Sherlock I know how much assistance you have rendered to my hospital and I really appreciate which is why I must tell you things truthfully

If he doesn't stop smoking, his chances to live would be slimmer'

Sherlock nodded

'I understand sir..I'll be there shortly'

The doctor hung up immediately and Sherlock stood outside for some minutes , sadly sighing and breathing hard

I watched him silently and wondered what could be bothering a man without emotions

I just hoped he would be happy

I skipped the next class and rushed to my dorm to prepare for the meeting with the lawyer my sis had introduced to me

I was going to receive a large amount of money today and i couldn't tell how excited I was

I rushed over and luckily I didn't meet Auggie inside which was good because she wouldn't let me go without asking questions

And I could also take some of her clothes, she had the best clothes which were good for what I wanted to do at the moment

I chose a simple but ready classy shirt and suit trouser as I hurriedly put on my flat shoes which shone as I stepped out

I walked happily down the stairs as I passed by a glass window, stopping suddenly I went back and took a closer look at myself and noticed how rough my hair was as I brought out my phone to take a better look

Straightening it with my fingers I tucked them neatly behind my ears and clutched my handbag tightly as i bounced off to experience the most important day of my life

I rechecked my phone to see the address the lawyer had given me and I steeped into the firm further

'Hello, please I'm looking for Mr Torrent I have an appointment with him today'

The smart and beautiful looking lady smiled at me

'Go straight and turn to your right, it's the first door you would see'

'Thank you'

I smiled and rushed up

Bang bang

I opened the door slowly and a well freshened office with a nice scent greeted me as I could see a middle aged man writing busily

Clearing my throat, I stepped in and bowed

'Hello sir'

He looked up and smiled

'Who are you'

I awkwardly smiled, I thought we spoke already

'I'm Alicia, Anne's sister'

'My bad, I'm so sorry..it's old age, have a seat

What would you care for'

I shook my head anxiously

'I'm okay sir'

He nodded and opened some files as he brought out a paper

'Here is the contract your father should have signed Alicia, here'

I slowly touched the paper as tears filled my eyes..I remembered my father waiting anxiously for this paper the as he couldn't afford to pay the rent

And now I'm buying a house with the money..destiny was smiling

Mr torrent smiled and held my hands

'Its okay I believe your father would be proud of you now..sign it and receive what belonged to him'

I nodded and wiped my tears away as I picked up the pen with trembling hands and placed my hands on the paper to hold it down

I noticed my hands were wet and I wiped them on my shirt anxiously
