Chapter 4

Hunter's pov

I loved Lucy, but I can't believe she made me choose between her and Melody. I can't believe Melody was saying we hooked up. She has been acting so different lately. She must really hate me to try and ruin my relationship with Lucy. I was so angry at her that I just didn't want to ever see her face again.

I went home after Lucy got a call from her friends saying they were heading over. I hated having to sneak around, but I was happy I was who she wanted. She reassured me tonight that I was who she was in love with and the only guy she wanted, and I felt a lot better now.

I was still curious as to why Nick took Melody home. I have to admit seeing them together pissed me off a little. I mean he was supposed to be Lucy's boyfriend. Did he know it was all fake? Was he interested in Melody?

I don't even know why I cared so much. I sent a text to Lucy letting her know I was going over to tell melody right now. I pulled up to see Melody and Nick in an embrace, and she was crying. What the hell did he do to her? I ran out of my car and grabbed Nick by the throat.

"What the hell did you do to her?"

"Hunter leave him alone. Let go of him now. What are you even doing here?"

"I was ugh driving past and saw you with him, and you were crying so I came to help."

"Look buddy you have two seconds to let go and walk away before I knock you on your ass."

I let go of him and looked between him and Melody. Why the hell was she sticking up for him? She didn't even know this guy and she was going to stick up for him over me? What the hell was her problem. She was acting crazy, and I wanted no part of that. I was so glad Lucy told me just how Melody really was because I was done.

"Aren't you with the wrong girl right now? Isn't your girlfriend supposed to be the most popular girl at school?"

"That's none of your concern." Nick said.

"Me and Nick are old friends not that it's any of your business."

What? Since when were they friends, and why didn't she ever tell me about it. I was telling how much I hated him and Lucy having to be together, and she never once mentioned him. She acted as if she hated him to and now here, they are sneaking around? What else has she lied to me about?

"Hunter just go we are no longer friends remember?"

"Fine by me it's not like I care any way. Have fun dealing with her drama."

I turned and walked to my car. Once I got in it, I looked back at the both of them. She was once again in Nick's arms. I took a picture of the two of them and sent it to Lucy. She did have a right to know what was going on. Maybe after all of this she will get rid of Nick, and we can be together in public.

I hate that Melody would be caught up in all of this, but she did it to herself. Lucy text me back telling me thank you and that she loved me. I was excited that she was texting me with her friends being there. It was a huge step in the right direction for our relationship. I really loved Lucy and I wanted to make her happy.
