Kaitlyn's POV

I received a long message just after moments Chris left the room.

"So, Ms. Kaitlyn Adams, you are requested to :-

1. Come to work from tomorrow itself.

2. The formalities with your college would be done.

3. Your work hours will be from 8 to 6.

4. Your boss will be Mr. Sullivan himself.

5. Your salary will be around a million/month, it can increase or even decrease according to your performance.

6. Please refer the PDF for further instructions"

And there was this PDF. Nothing, all work-related information.

So, I am going to work from tomorrow itself! What could be better?

And I am so happy that I got selected!

Anyways, I kept my bursting heart aside and went to sleep. I don't want to be late on my first day itself.

I woke up at 6 AM and got ready. After doing all my daily chorus, I am on my way to the office at 7:30. Oh yeah, today Chris said that he would drop me to the office, as it is my first day.

It is very strange because Chris never shows care about me.

He cares, but doesn't show.

Anyways, I reached the office and he even accompanied me inside. I reached the inside and saw Mr. Sullivan talking to one of the employees.

He saw me and then Chris.

"Oh hi, Ms. Kaitlyn and Mr. Chris" he said with a smile.

Which looked more like a smirk.

"Well, Kate, I will talk to him for a moment, okay?" Chris spoke to me.

"Okay..." I said.

Chris' POV

We reached his cabin.

"I have brought her here. Don't hurt her" I warned Daniel. He chuckled.

"I am not inhumane like you guys. I won't hurt her" he said.

"Please" I said. "Keep your words" I completed.

"I will," he said. He looked sincere.

"Okay then, I am leaving" I said and went out. Saying my byes, I left the place and went back to my house.

"So, this is your cabin" Ms. Sophie said and I nodded, and thanked her.

Ms. Sophie is here and telling me about where I must stay and guiding me.

"Mr. Daniel will come and guide you himself. I will leave now" she said and left the room.

I smiled looking at the cabin.

I am so lucky!

"It seems like you like it" a husky voice came. I turned around and saw Mr. Daniel standing.

"O-oh yeah" I said.

He smirked. "That's good," he replied. "Now I am going to tell you about your work," he said.

Then he started telling me about my work. I basically have to develop certain things to increase his company's technology and I will have to create reports and everything.

It's all fine.

"Understood?" he asked.

"Yes sir!" I replied.

He smiled and left the cabin.

I sat down.

Seeing this girl here, it looks like God has given me a whole chance to grab and take my long-lasting vengeance.

I don't care if she is innocent.

She will have to suffer every pain.

Make her beg for me to kill her.

"So, I am retiring from the Adams Foundation," dad said as I stepped inside the house.

"So Soon?" I asked.

"You know I have other stuff," he said. "Those you don't like"

"Why don't you end it?" I asked.

"I won't," he said.

"Huh" I sighed.

"Anyways. You are hiding something. What is wrong?" he asked me.

"N-Nothing" I said.

"You sure?"

"Yes" I replied. He nodded his head.

"So, you are going to take over Adams Foundation at the end of this week itself" he said.

The day is almost over and I got up to report to Mr. Daniel.

He told me to report to him every day before going back home about what I did the entire day.

I knocked on his door. "Come in"

I went inside and he stood seeing me. "Oh hey, Ms. Kaitlyn" he said.

"Ah, boss here is-"

"Don't call me boss, Ms. Kaitlyn. Call me Mr. Daniel or just Daniel"

"Okay, Mr. Daniel... and you can also call me just Kaitlyn" I said as it would look very awkward.

"Okay Kaitlyn," he said.

Woah. My name sounds so beautiful.

"S-so here is the file I wrote today" I handed him the file. He looked at the file.

"I will return it tomorrow, Kaitlyn," he said. I nodded and turned to leave.

"Kaitlyn!" he stopped me.

Oh god, he needs to stop calling me like that, it sounds so beautiful.

I turned around.

"Yes, sir?" I asked.

"SIR!?" he asked me.

"I-I mean Mr. Daniel," I said. He smirked at me, and then came close.

I took a step back, maintaining distance between us, but he took my wrist and stopped me.

"Are you feeling uncomfortable?" he asked.

"I-I-I n-no" I said.

He sighed.

"I was just saying that I will advise you to tie your hair from today because that is the rules; proper uniform" he said.

"O-Oh okay si- Mr. Daniel" I said. He nodded and I left the office and took a cab home.

I went inside and found Chris and dad sitting. I went towards the stairs.

"Kate" Chris stopped me.

Woah, he talked to me in front of dad!

I turned around. "Y-Yeah?" I asked.

"H-How is everything there?" he asked.

"Excellent" I said.

"WHERE!?" dad boomed in.

"Nowhere dad" Chris replied.

"Anyways, Kate, I am going to take over Adams Foundation next week" he informed me.

"Oh... that's good" I said and he nodded. "Bye" I said and went upstairs.

Everything is a little changed.

Not a little, to be honest.

It's very different.

Anyways, I slept and waited for the next day.

I reached the office the next day and I met Mr. Sullivan. He takes care of me, like if I need anything or not. He takes my file every day and returns me the next day, always praising me. He keeps that smile on his face, instead of any smirk.

Chris has also stopped bothering about my work here.

And dad doesn't care.

But Mr. Sullivan... Well, He is making me fall for him this way. Being cute and always so good to me. He even said that I am pretty.
