Chapter 6 A day

Mars walked sadly as she traced her way and counted down to school. She had no idea where are father was taken to and worse still what he was facing at that moment.

She had come to know her father her whole life, he was someone who was so shy and quiet. Most times, she knew he was dumb.

She couldn't imagine the torture he would pass through where he was.

Henry sat dejectedly in the room, it was dark with only a fun light coming from the small window near the wall, he stood up and walked to and fro as he looked at the door severally.

He had no idea why they were keeping him here, he had done nothing wrong, all he wished for was to see his little mars and he sihhed dejectedly.

The door opened with a loud bang and he looked at it startled.

A guard came in and crossed his arms

"Follow me"

Henry bowed and walked slowly towards him as he led him out slowly

"Where are we going "

The guard looked back and frowned

"You have a visitor"

Henry smiled and clapped excitedly

"Mars!!, where is she?"

The guard scoffed and shook his head as he grabbed him roughly and pulled him forward.

"I'm walking, you are hurting me"

Henry looked at the guard sadly and bit his finger

"Don't pretend to be humble, you are a killer and would always be "

"I'm sorry"

Henry bowed slowly and repeated again as the guard pushed him forward

"I'm..im sorry..I'm sorry"

Mars walked around impatiently as she tried to peep at the glass in front of her. She had asked some neighbors earlier and she was told where her father was.

She sat and looked around nervously as some officers eyed her with contempt and she looked away immediately.

"Mars"

She could hear her dad's voice in the distance

"Dad!" She screamed and tears dropped freely down her face as she wiped them frantically

"Dad I'm here, how have you been"

She rushed to the glass and spread her fingers on it as her dad did the same.

"Have u been eating"

She nodded and smiled tearfully

"Dad you look tired , did you eat"

Henry smiled and shook his head

"Of course"

She tried hard to fight her tears as she smiled at him

"What did you eat"

Henry frowned and looked away

"You are lying dad"

"I'm not"

"Dad I don't want to go to school"

Henry frowned

"Why"

"I want to live here with you"

Henry smiled again and licked his lips dumbly

"You have to go to school, so you can work here in the future and you would bring me out"

Mars smiled and nodded

Suddenly an officer came forward and hit Henry hard on the head

"You are shouting, I'm sending that girl away if you shout "

Henry nodded and bowed frantically

"I'm sorry"

Mars sniffed and leaned forward

"Dad I would get you out, i would see the commander here and I would beg him, wait a little okay?"

Henry nodded and smiled

"Mars you have to eat, so you can be healthy"

Mars nodded and smiled

"You have got to eat too dad"

The officer came and held his shirt

"Let's go"

Mars glared angrily at him

"Leave my father alone "

She hit hard on the glass and shouted

"Shut up you murderer's daughter..say any more word and I'm locking you up like your father"

Mars screamed and hit hard on the glass as her father was being dragged away.

"I love you mars..take care of yourself"
