Chapter 4 A Quiet Place

Moore has invited the band to join them at their table. The DJ already started playing and some of the guests already started dancing. He also had a few girls join their table but were only seated beside him and Zane's. He knows Kyle doesn't want girls near him and Brandon is loyal to his girlfriend.

"I want you to meet my friends and the guest of honor tonight." Moore ushered them to the table and introduced the guys one by one.

Tia looked at Kyle and figured that he was the one at the bar. This was the first time that she saw him upfront because of her headache earlier she did not pay too much attention to him. Now she thought he looked so handsome but could see the coldness in his eyes. She smiled at him and then quickly smiled at everyone else too.

They sat down and the table. Tia was in between Marcus and Moore. While Brandon and Kyle were seated together on one side of the table. Sam, Wright, and Jason were on another side.

"Are you together?" Zane quickly asked Marcus and Tia.

Jason and Wright laughed.

"Are we together?" Tia playfully answered, turning to Marcus.

"We're all together." Marcus smiled and pointed out to the rest of the bandmates.

Tia didn't talk too much but the rest of the band has chatted casually mostly with Moore and Zane. Moore would keep asking her questions but she would just nod or answer briefly. They've already had a couple of drinks.

"How about we all dance." Moore suddenly gestured to everyone to stand up. He wanted to drag Tia but she just shrugged. Feeling dispirited. Zane just pushed Moore to the dance floor together with the rest of the band and the girls Moore invited.

It was only Kyle, Marcus, Brandon, and Tia that were left on the table.

"Do you mind if we smoke?" Brandon asked Tia, he has always been a gentleman. He handed one also to Kyle.

Tia just shrugged and smiled. So they lit their cigarettes.

Marcus' phone rings.

"I need to take this call." He looked at Tia before getting up off the table.

Working with bands and always being exposed to night gigs, she's used to people smoking around her and she also acquired a good tolerance with alcohol although recently she has started to control it because she got diagnosed with gastroesophageal disease. Although it isn't that bad she still needs to be careful with her diet because it might become severe and it might also affect her voice.

The three of them were just quiet. Tia just continued to drink while the two boys continued to smoke.

"I'm going to check on Becca." Brandon got up. He always makes sure to call his girlfriend every time.

After a few minutes.

"You're with the band?" One of the girls from earlier at the bar approached the table which broke the awkward silence.

"Of course." Tia turned around and smiled at them, remembering the incident earlier.

"Kyle, will you dance with me?" The girl rushed to Kyle and started flirting.

Tia looked at him and smiled at how annoyed he looked. He noticed it and looked back at her raising his eyebrow.

Tia thought it must have been a hint and suddenly stood up to his side.

"Babe, it's too noisy here. Let's go somewhere quiet." She tapped on his shoulder with a very playful smile.

To her surprise, Kyle grabbed her hand and took his phone and cigarette pack with his other hand.

Trying to keep her act together, she looked at the girls and said tauntingly. "Excuse us."

Kyle led her back to the hotel still holding her hand. Tia looked back and saw that this should be far enough. She pulled her hand away and turned to him. "You're welcome."

"Why do you always assume I need help?" Kyle answered him coldly but with a slight grin.

Tia was taken aback but she did not show it. She was used to dealing with all sorts of men as she has worked at a pub before.

"What can I say, you looked pretty annoyed, or do you actually enjoy those kinds of girls?" Tia answered sarcastically.

Kyle just stared at her coldly and ignored what she said. They started to walk towards the elevator. Her head started to ache again so she started rubbing her temples.

"Headache?" Kyle noticed. He remembered what she said earlier.

Tia just nodded trying to ignore him. Kyle pressed a different floor on the elevator. When they reached that floor. He took her hand and led her out.

"What are you doing?" Tia was confused.

"Consider this my thank you. I don't like owing anyone favors." Kyle answered coldly

Tia looked around and saw the sign that says SPA.

"You wanted peace and a quiet place. " Kyle spoke softly near her ear. She felt his breath and almost shivered. This guy looks cold, sounds so domineering and evil. Tia thought to her head but she felt like she didn't need to worry around him.

"Well, I'll take this," Tia answered acting so proudly like she was claiming a reward. With that boat ride and noise at the party, she badly needed a good massage she smiled secretly inside.

Kyle handed the SPA Manager his Suite card and he instantly knew that this guy must be one of the VIPs of Mr. Gu. Kyle gave him a few instructions and pointed at Tia.

An attendant then approached her and led her to the VIP room. Kyle also wanted to relax but he doesn't like anyone touching his body so he went straight to the private hot spring.

Tia has never experienced this VIP Spa treatment so she was extremely happy. The massage was so good that she could feel all the headache vanished. The attendant then opened the sliding door beside the VIP room and led her to the private hot spring.

Kyle was already in the hot spring. His eyes were covered with the bath towel so he did notice the door open and the sound was muffled by the running water.

Tia was only wearing a towel and nothing underneath it after taking a quick shower. Her hair was tied on a bun and she slowly removed her towel and dipped it into the hot water. It felt so good that she started to hum. She thought she was the only one there. She did not notice Kyle because of the fog.

Kyle noticed the hum and took off the towel on his eyes and saw that there was a woman in front of him. There was a bit of a distance between them that he had to get up a bit to see clearly.

"What are you doing here?!" Tia almost shrieked when he noticed it was Kyle.
