Chapter 6 CH 4

What he said shattered my world. I already love and want this baby. I mean the problem is that I don't know the father of this baby. I don't even know if I can be a good mother when I don't even know who I am.

Suddenly, a question popped into my head and I voiced it.

"How did I end up here?"

"I found you lying on the ground in a dark alley with two men who seemed to have been about to carry you away."

"A dark alley?"

"Luckily, I passed that road. It's been a while since I passed that route but I wanted to reach home earlier than usual."

"Thank you. How long have I been out?"

"It's been three days now. I am sure you are hungry so I am going to make you breakfast."

When he left, I to see if I could figure out why I was attacked. I was feeling very scared.

Deciding stressing myself was not going to help me or the baby, I calmed myself down with little difficulty.

After what felt like an eternity but was in fact twelve minutes, Dr. Oliver came in carrying a tray full of food and a plastic rubber.

On smelling the scent of the food, my stomach growled loud. Blushing slightly, I received the tray he handed me and admired the food. There were sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, whatever.

As I was busy in my food world enjoying the food, someone cleared throat.

I looked up and listened to Dr. Oliver and on about the prenatal vitamins and when to take them.

"At first, I wanted to give you some drugs for your headache but now I know you are pregnant, all I can say is avoid stress.

After my meal, I removed my IV drip and turned off the heart machine.

I opened the closet, found a decent dress to wear and some undergarments

After my long, relaxing shower, I wore my dress and admired myself in the mirror. I was beautiful.

I wore a mid-thigh red dress. Leaving my room, I decided to roam around and stretch my legs for a while.

After roaming, I found out there were four bedrooms, a cute kitchen and a small living room. I spotted Dr. Oliver talking on the phone with a smile.

I felt a little jealous because he had someone with him.

Sitting on a couch in the living room, I placed my hand on my flat tummy.

All at once, a pair of beautiful brown eyes flashed in my mind. The thought of those eyes made me strangely excited and giddy.

Smiling, I said, "When you come into my life I will forever love you. You will not lack I promise you, baby".
