"Get ready, you have an interview in two hours." Alvin suddenly said, entering the kitchen, where Ashley was cooking lunch for the both of them, this was the first time she entered the kitchen to cook not just get a snack or a fruit and she was really excited about it, as much as Koo, who was getting food every two minutes, be it a leaf, or a small piece of vegetables, he was happy; until Alvin walked in and took that luxury by making Ashley stop chopping and turn to talk to him.
"Already? That was fast." Ashley was shocked by how fast it took, she told him yesterday and he already found her a job; she thought it would take at least a week. "Yeah, I have a friend who knows someone that needed a secretary, so it was perfect." Alvin just pulled some strings and boom, he got her a job, not a job opportunity but the job itself because nobody else is getting this job other than her. "What a great timing." Ashley commented, surprised by the coincidence and how things worked out for her advantage. Ashely ran to her room, the one Alvin told her was hers, and looked through her clothes, the ones she and Alvin bought together in their day out, when they went to the mall; now that she thinks about it more, she is not just dependent on him in the house but also in every aspect of her current life, she lives with him, he buys the food, the clothes, pays the bills, literally everything. That wasn't something pleasant to think about, but she is in another world, that's the conclusion she came to after thinking hard about it, she is either in a book or a dream, one of the two because there is no other explanation for it. "Are you done?" Alvin shouted from downstairs, waking Ashley up from her thinking coma and getting her to hurry up and dress; she rushed to the closet and took out, long black pans and a white blouse, she didn't have a jacket so she sneaked into Alvin's room and took his, it was bigger than she anticipated but she looked okay with it, then she looked for a flat shoe and got her bag, then walked downstairs where Alvin was waiting for her; with the car keys in his hands. "You aren't going to wear any makeup?" Alvin asked, seeing Ashley's bare face, it wasn't as if there was anything with it but people usually want to look their best at job interviews, and one way to do it, is to wear makeup. "Do I need any?" Ashley asked, touching her face, was wearing makeup a necessity to get a job in this world? She didn't have any pimples at the moment, nor any visible big eye bags, she put chapstick on, and she thought it was fine this way, she doesn't know how to apply makeup anyway, back in her world, she only put light fondation and lipstick, that's about it. "No, not really." Alvin replied, in his mind, Ashley was beautiful and didn't any makeup, but she used to love powdering her face and applying a lot of makeup, so he just got a bit surprised, but she lost her memory so of course, she changed; he was for this change, because Ashley was obsessed with her looks and the way she looked in front of Chad and others, so it's reassuring that she doesn't care that much about it anymore. "Wait, I have no papers, no qualifications, nothing." Ashley stopped before entering the car, remembering that she is going to the interview empty, with no certificate or anything. "You don't need to worry about that." Alvin assured her, getting in the car and telling her to get in, or else they will be late. Ashley got in the car, not wanting to be late, along with having no qualifications to get the job, unlike the others who worked hard to get it; well it turned out, none of the people waiting to get interviewed had any documents with them, they were all girls in shirt skirts or dresses, or boys with really tight pants and shirt that showed their nipples, was she at the wrong place? "Wait here." Alvin told her, as he walked to the receptionist and talked to her, while she sat there, staring at the others, talking to each other, while she was all alone, she felt slightly embarrassed with the way she is dressed, seeing everyone wearing revealing clothes, made her feel as if she was the only one wearing clothes in a nude beach; and everyone was staring at her attire, which made it extra embarrassing. 'I wish Koo was here with me.' Ashley didn't like getting separated from her bunny, he was the only thing that made her feel sane and that she wasn't crazy for thinking she is in a different world, but she had to keep him home, hope he is doing fine by himself. After some minutes, a person walked to them and told everyone to leave, since they found the secretary they needed, everyone complained and voiced out how unfair it was, but they couldn't do anything but leave, while Ashley was approached by the person, who introduced himself as the owner of the company and Alvin's friend, who told her that Alvin went outside because he got a call and that he will escort her to her new boss, his younger brother.
