Chapter 4 Bad boy

" You are not going to change, Ryder. Just take your book for god's sake, " she shouted with irritation. But still, Ryder was calm to the core. He's looking like 'I don't give a damn care about anything'. I turned behind to see him. I wish I could say 'Hi'. Can I say it? Will he notice or ignore me? Getting embarrassed is not what I wanted. The teacher was busy writing the sum on the board. My hands took the minute as an advantage and waved at him. Ryder noticed me. He little shakes his hand and smiled at me. Oh god, he does remember me. Of course, he can remember. I only met him yesterday.

" Sorry mam, I won't come late like this. Forgive me. Can I come inside?" I heard my best friend, Pearl's voice at the class entrance. She's back.

" You have never been late to class, Ms.Brown. Try not to make this mistake again, " she said and let her inside. Pearl came panting.

" Iam sorry, Em. I caught up in a situation. I had a fight with my boyfriend. He's pissing me off." she complained and sat next to me. Boyfriend?

" You never said you had a boyfriend? Why did you hide that?" Now Iam the one who's pissed off.

" We didn't get time to talk, Em. We didn't get time to talk for the last three months. It all happened in these three months. I will surely fill you up with everything." she assured me with her hands on my shoulder.

" Okay. Iam counting on you. But first what's his name?"

" Andrian. He's a senior student in Edgewood high. He will be graduating sooner. That's where the fight started. Anyways, what did you do while I was gone? I know you would have got so bored. Iam..." I stopped her non-stop by saying two lines.

" I wasn't alone. I met Jason Byrne."

" Jason..Jason Byrce. That Billionaire's son...Are you serious?" she gave a shocking reaction and her voice was little too loud.

" Don't shout to the whole class. I will tell you what happened in the garden." I silently whispered her everything that happened an hour ago.

" Wow...will you introduce me to him? I just want to get an autograph from him and his mother and even his father. My cousins will get jealous." she spoke with a deep silly intention.

" Why do you want an autograph from his whole family?" I said, annoyed by her wish.

"He's a model, his mom's an actress and his father's a doctor and owns a hospital. I want to show off to my friends and cousins. You can only understand if you are a die-hard fan of a celebrity."

" Bla..bla...I get it. Then I choose not to understand." I replied, scribbling in my note. She didn't argue or lengthened the conversation. Instead, she said something which made my heart beat faster.

" Why does our bad boy is looking at me? Did you do something annoying to him? You didn't look angry but it's staring at you since I entered the class." she said, looking at his direction.

" He...I...I know him. He's my neighbour." I try to sound calm. Then, the teacher turned towards us.

" Iam going to make you sit in pairs. Finish the sums for the remaining two class, " she said and called out random names to pair us. I wanna sit with Pearl. We won't usually get what we get. But if we don't get what we want, then we may get something bigger than that. That's true. Because the teacher randomly let Ryder sit next to me. OH, MY GOD.

" Hi, Emily. My brother enjoyed the pie cake you gave yesterday. Did you cook it?" he asked me the minute he sat next to me.

" Yeah...I mean no. My mom did it." I nearly forgot what I was saying. He simply nodded his head.

" Could you share me your book? I don't have anything right now, " he said and moved closer to me. Why is my heart beating faster? I stayed silent for some minutes and we talked normally about the sum. But then I asked something stupid.

" When did you started having tattoos?"

" I get tattoos when I was six or seven."

" You had the Phoenix and wolf from childhood, " I asked with a surprised look.

" I was right. You were enjoying the view yesterday, " he said as his one side of his lips corner turned up.

" No. I wasn't, " I blushed. Stupid me.

" Can we study for a while?" I changed the topic and turned my gaze towards the book. I did enjoy the view. I can be true to myself.

" I don't want to read, " he said closing the view while keeping his eyes on me.

" You don't want another detention. Let's find the balance to this sum." I said, flipping the page.

" I can rather get your ten-digit number than finding this number, " he said, keeping his hands on the table getting a full view of myself. Did he just ask my number?

" I can make a deal. This is my number. Can we study now?" I asked him, writing down my number in the note.

" This note belongs to you. Write it here, " he said, showing his palm. Okay. I can gladly do that.

" Here you go, " then we studied for an hour. Even though we didn't speak anything person, still I had a good time with them. I spoke and thought him the most. I have no idea whether he understands or not. He didn't look like he understood anything. All he did was staring at me and copying the answers from my note.

Finally, the bell rang. It's time for lunch. The class dispersed and Ryder and I are talking instead of leaving the class.

" You are studying pretty well. This is the first time Iam talking with a rank holder. I had a good time. I may have learned something I guess." he said, running his hands over his hair.

" I hope you did. I spent my time on it instead of doing it alone."

" Yeah. It seems like you like being alone a lot. Do you have a boyfriend?"
