Chapter 9 Sex At Home

She couldn't put her finger into the reason why Bryan got so angry all of a sudden,

but his eyes frightened her that they almost made her collapse into the ground from fear.

"I... Cousin..." She struggled to utter her words. 'Did I say something wrong?'

"Don't call me like that again," he warned. His sudden return to calm demeanor felt like a relief.

Madeline nodded, and replied, "I see. Mr. Bryan."

She realized now. She was only a servant of the Li family. How stupid of her to call him cousin-in-law!

However, that feeling of being looked down upon particularly by him was different from the rest. It was more heartfelt to her compared to the rest of the family members.

She spent the whole afternoon doing the laundry. She separated the clothes to be sent into dry cleaning, hand washing, and machine washing.

The Li family's laundry room was even bigger than that of the hotel where she worked in New York, and the facilities were undoubtedly more advanced. She didn't go upstairs until it was around nine o'clock in the evening.

She was exhausted to the point that she could no longer walk in the normal pace.

After she was demoted as a servant that day, she moved out of Blake's room as a result. But she had never actually lived in his room at all. She lived in the innermost guest room on the second floor, and Blake did not bother stopping her.

When she arrived at the second floor, she suddenly heard something that was quite strange.

"Well... Ah... sir, please let me off..."

She could clearly hear a woman struggling to speak.

Her face immediately turned bright red as her eyes widened. She took a step back and attempted to escape.

'Wait, what?

The woman's voice sounded familiar. Who is the sir she was referring to?

Did Blake bring a woman home with him?'

The first person she thought was none other than Blake.

'No, this is the second floor. Even if he brought someone back with him, he should be wary enough to go do it in his own room.

Could it be...Bryan?'

She shook her head to clear up her thoughts.

She felt that she had been acting out of her mind recently. She always caught herself spacing out and entertaining her own thoughts. 'No matter who he is, it's none of my business,' she concluded.

The master bedroom on the second floor was on the right, facing the guest rooms. She walked over towards her room to get some rest.

That was when she caught a glimpse of an obscene happening inside, since the door was left open.

The blush on her face suddenly returned stronger, and she was about to walk past the room in a hurry.

However, she stopped as soon as she was about to take her first step.

She didn't exactly see who the woman was, but her guts told her that she knew her.

The man's heavy breathing and the woman's sweet moans kept playing in her head like a broken record.

She turned around, and slowly approached the door. She did not need to find a crack through it, she only needed to take a look through the opening to clearly see what was going on inside.

In just a glance, she ruled out the possibility of the man being Bryan because he certainly did not have the same bronze skin that she saw earlier.

At this point, she also clearly saw the woman lying under the man.

Liam! It was Liam who was working in the kitchen!

She was frozen in place. The Li family was really a complicated family.

Now she finally understood why Liam had always been so arrogant and mean towards her. It turned out that she had an affair with Blake.

"Who's out there?" the woman suddenly shouted.

The man stopped, and turned his gaze over to the door.

It didn't look like he was too surprised. There must be a chance that he wanted her to see it on purpose!

If so, then what kind of reaction did he expect to see from her? Upset, embarrassed, maybe aggrieved?

Since she had been found to be sneaking around outside, she slowly opened the door a little wider. "Mr. Blake, do you need me to guard the door for you?"

The two certainly did not expect her to say such words after what she had seen.

"Sir!" Liam pulled the quilt to cover her body, and forcefully poked Blake's arm.

"Okay, just guard the door," Blake coldly replied.

Madeline respectfully nodded, and replied, "Okay, sir. Please go on."

She proceeded to close the door. As soon as she thought it was over, she breathed a sigh of relief, but she suddenly heard Blake's roar coming from the inside. "Keep the door open. It's so hot in here!"

She quickly opened it again. This time, she opened it wider than before.

Did being seen turn him on?

Although she did it on purpose, she really wanted to find an excuse to escape from such situation if possible.

But she couldn't.

She thought about her father. But no matter what she did, she knew her father couldn't save her now. The only thing she could do was to save herself.

She just had to be careful not to piss Blake off. As she thought about it, being a servant of this family turned out to be more satisfying to her than being Blake's wife.

Well, as long as he didn't touch her,

she was more than willing to let herself live with the Li family like this for the rest of her life.

She lost her virginity, and now she was a married woman.

She had no chance to be together with Rory.

Meanwhile, Bryan just finished swimming. He came upstairs with his hair still soaking wet.

"Why are you standing there?" As soon as he got upstairs, he saw Madeline standing still in the hallway like a statue.

It wasn't long until he also heard the voice, and he frowned.

Madeline didn't expect that he would go upstairs at this hour, so she didn't know how to explain the situation, and panicked. "I... I'm guarding the door for them!"

She couldn't find any excuse, and just straight up told the truth.

"What? Guarding the door?" Bryan confusingly questioned with an unpleasant tone.

Seeing that he was quickly gaining speed to come over, Madeline hastily slammed the door closed.

Bryan's anger suddenly rose from the bottom of his heart. He loudly snapped at the door, "If you want to fool around with women, do it outside! Don't let me see you do this at home again!"

Madeline had thought that she was doomed, and that Blake would do everything he could to ruin her life.

Before she could even react from Bryan's shouting, he pulled her away from the door.

She didn't even realize that she was already in his room until she hit the cold wall against her back.

At this point, Bryan was pressing her against it, looking at her with blazing fury in his eyes.

For a minute there, she was so close to him that it was obvious to tell her extreme anxiety creeping over her because of her trembling limbs.

The man's heavy breathing was so close and so familiar that she couldn't help thinking of that night.

"Mr. Bryan!" She was confused. What was wrong with him to act like this all of a sudden? It all happened so fast.

Was it because the lunch she cooked earlier was not to his liking that he had been blaming her until now?

"Do you have self-respect or not?" he fiercely interrogated.

The anger already took over him that he didn't even bother to consider why he was so angry.

"What did I do wrong?" she replied with her own question. She raised her head to bravely stare back at him, and the pleasant smell of his body quickly shrouded her nose.

"Is the man inside that room irrelevant to you? How could you do such a thing?" Bryan asked.

'What did he say? Why does it seem like I just did something shameful?' she thought to herself.

No matter how good she could control her temper, she just couldn't bear to be pressed like this.

"He said that I was just a servant of the Li family. So there was nothing for me to do. I don't have any reason to be associated with him. What could I do, disobey him? He's my master!"

Despite her reasoning, she knew her anxiety didn't leave her alone.
