Minnie gobbled the food down without paying any attention to her image. In any case, she needed to fill her stomach first before dealing with this troublemaker. Bruce just beamed and watched her eat, obviously having no intention to stop her. She didn't notice it, but he was tapping his index finger rhythmically on his knee, seemingly counting something.
"Fuck!" Minnie was eating happily when her stomach suddenly rumbled. It felt as if there was a balloon blown in her stomach, making her feel gassy and full. Before she could wrap her head around what was going on, a massive fart exploded. The smell spread even to the most remote corner of this place.
"My stomach..." Minnie put down the chicken leg she was gnawing on and hunched down in pain, hugging her belly. Even an idiot would understand what was going on by now. She raised her head and stared at Bruce in disbelief. "You put laxatives in the food!"
"Did I ask you to eat?" Bruce smiled complacently. He then pursed his lips and said in a gloomier tone, "GG Bond, Ultraman, stop her!"
"Shit! Your trick's too dirty!" It was no wonder he didn't stop her from eating. As it turned out, he had laid down a trap for her. Anyhow, she had to get to the bathroom ASAP!
"Damn it! Why are they all locked?" Minnie frantically ran from one door to another to find a bathroom, but all of them were locked. She felt like weeping but she had no tears left. Could it be that she really had to shit in her pants today?
"Where are you going?" Bruce calmly walked after her. He watched Minnie running about hugging her stomach with a devilish, shit-eating grin on his face.
Minnie was pissed, but she really didn't have the time to deal with him now. Nature was calling her. Nevertheless, she'd definitely teach this brat a lesson after she solved her problem!
With that thought in mind, she continued to try finding a bathroom. She'd now reached the door at the end of the corridor. Her current situation was urgent. She didn't care much and just tried to open it without examining it further. To both her surprise and delight, this one wasn't locked. The moment the door was opened, she bolted in and slammed the door closed behind her.
"Mr. Bruce, she broke into the forbidden room!" The servants could only watch as Minnie broke into the room at the end of the corridor. For some reason, they seemed to have no courage to continue following her.
"Humph, she's lucky. But let's wait and see!" Bruce glared at the closed door. "When Daddy comes back, he'll definitely teach her a lesson!"
That room was his mom's former room that even he was forbidden to enter. There was once a woman who didn't know how to behave herself and broke into the room. She was kicked out of the house on the next day. Maybe this woman would follow that woman's fate!
By the time Minnie came out of the room, she thought she was seeing things. She thought Bruce would let those Tibetan Mastiffs wait outside and ambush her when she came out, but they were nowhere to be seen. As for Bruce himself, he was sitting on the sofa, engrossed in playing some building blocks. Could it be that he finally had some conscience?
In fact, Bruce just didn't feel like dealing with her anymore. From his point of view, Minnie was equal to a dead person. After all, she had recklessly broken into his mom's room. Her ending was doomed already, so why bother?
"It looks cool!" Minnie sat with her legs crossed opposite him. He was using the blocks to build a courtyard with many coconut trees and three little toy figures in it.
"What's this?" She picked up one of the little figures.
"Stop! Put my mommy down!"
"Is this little figure your mommy?" Minnie stared questioningly at the short-haired little figure, wondering why her devil of a son used it to represent her when it looked nothing like her at all.
"It's so ugly!" She shook her head in disgust. Before she could return it to its original position, Bruce snatched it away from her hand. Anger was burning in his eyes.
"You're the one who's ugly! Your whole family is ugly! My mommy is the most beautiful woman in the world!"
Minnie was speechless. 'My whole family is ugly? My dear baby, do you know you've just scolded yourself?'
"You sound like you've seen her..." Minnie rested her chin on her hand and mumbled to herself. Unfortunately, Bruce heard her words. His expression darkened, and fury was written all over his face. "My mommy's the most beautiful woman in the world! She must have something to deal with, so she can't come to see me. She didn't abandon me..."
The eyes of the arrogant, domineering, little devil suddenly turned red. Minnie was aghast. She really never expected that her offhand remark would set her son off like this. She felt both shocked and worried. At the same time, however, she also wondered what "mommy" was for Bruce.
"It's okay, Bruce. I'm here. I'm back. I've always and I'll always love you..." Minnie pulled him into her embrace and stroked his back lovingly. However, before she could further express her love, Bruce, who had finally recovered from his shock, pushed her away and fled her arms.
"Humph! How dare you pretend to be my mommy and take advantage of me? I'll make sure you'll regret it!" As it happened, right after he said that, the door was pushed open, and Michael walked in. With a cunning glance and a devilish smile directed at Minnie, Bruce leaped into his dad's arms.
"Daddy, this woman said my mommy was ugly and that she's abandoned me. She even broke into your forbidden room!" he said in a fake aggrieved tone.
'One, two, three!'
She was charged with three "crimes" she didn't commit!
Michael's expression darkened. Wrath seemed to be brewing behind those waveless eyes. He looked so scary that Minnie couldn't help but step back when he came towards her. "It's slander! I've never said any of those!"
"But you did break into the forbidden room?" Michael asked coldly.
A forbidden room? Why wasn't she aware of the existence of such a room in this house? Was there really a place in this house she couldn't go to? Minnie hurriedly waved her hand. As she was about to explain, she finally noticed Michael was staring at the door at the end of the corridor. Her heart sank in an instant.
"Hey! Calm down! Let's talk this out!" Minnie, who had suddenly been pinned against the wall, said with a muffled voice. "The room is still the same as before. I didn't move anything inside. You can check it out yourself!"
From where Michael stood, he could see the beautiful crimson color on her ears. Her earlobes were thin, small, and as smooth as jades.
His gaze on her deepened. "So it's true that you entered the forbidden area, right?"
Minnie groaned in her heart. She didn't expect that her former room had, for some unknown reason, become a forbidden area in this house.
At a complete loss for what to do, she instinctively held Michael's hand in hers and made puppy-dog eyes at him.
"Michael..."
This was her favorite trick, and it worked every time.
Upon seeing her expression, there seemed to be a flash of nostalgia in his eyes, but he still pushed her away in disgust.
His sudden move caught Minnie off guard and caused her to bump her head against the wall. She winced, and tears started to well in her eyes from the pain. She then reached out, trying to hold his hand again. "Michael, why are you..."
Michael looked at her coldly, caught her wrist with one hand, and pinched her chin with his other hand.
He then rubbed her lips with his thumb quite hard.
"Drop the act. It won't work. You're just not worthy."
Minnie's eyes widened. She didn't know what the hell he meant. Neither did she understand why he suddenly blew up.
Her current aggrieved looks made Michael think she was imitating that woman again, and it completely set him off. He was so angry he burst out laughing instead. "Your name is Jessica Lin, right? You're working as a nurse at the Central Hospital?"
"Yes." Minnie nodded.
"Liar!" He threw some photos to Minnie's face. "Please be more careful the next time you try to lie to me. You went through plastic surgeries to have a pair of eyes similar to that of the woman I love and went through all the troubles to imitate her bearing, but you end up just making a fool of yourself. Now, be honest-who sent you?"
"Plastic surgeries? I didn't get any. This face is my natural face. See it for yourself..." Minnie pinched her cheek, poked her nose, and even pressed her eyes hard to get her point across.
Michael looked at her coldly, completely unmoved.
Minnie naturally noticed the sarcasm and the disbelief in his eyes. She put her hands down and hung her head dejectedly. What more should she do to make him believe her?
All of a sudden, her phone rang. The noise brought an end to the silence that had unknowingly descended upon them.
The noise had also successfully diverted Minnie's attention. It was an incoming voice call, and she already knew without even looking at the caller ID that the caller must be Sam Yu. After all, who else would call her at such a time except him? She moved swiftly, trying to reject the call. Nevertheless, Michael was even quicker. He once again pinned her against the wall and grabbed her phone.
Minnie was no match for Michael in strength. She was pinned so hard against the wall she almost couldn't breathe.
"Michael, are you a fucking barbarian?"
Michael snorted. "I see no use in dealing with you in a civilized manner."
The moment she saw he was going to pick the call up, Minnie suddenly pounced on him with all her strength, trying to snatch back her phone. Michael subconsciously caught her, so for an instant, his grasp loosened.
By the time he regained his calm and removed his hand from her waist, the phone was already back in Minnie's hand.
Michael speedily caught her by her waist and pulled her close. His voice was freezing cold. "Give me the phone."
Minnie naturally wouldn't do as he commanded. She rejected the call and smashed the phone to the floor in desperation.
As she watched the phone bounce several times on the floor from the force she used, a sense of relief spread inside her. She then shifted her gaze towards Michael again. Her chin was raised high. Everything about her, from her gaze to her posture, reeked of complacency.
Michael glanced at her coldly, lightly shoved her away from him, and went to pick the phone up from the floor.
A smile suddenly bloomed across his face. The phone was a classic Nokia. Not to mention breaking it, such a beating wouldn't even leave a scratch on it. He calmly pressed the power button. In a few seconds, the phone screen lit up.
Minnie was surprised, but she soon made a lunge for the phone. Unfortunately, Michael had good reflexes. He caught Minnie's hands, once again pressed her against the wall, and patted her cheek gently with the phone.
"Jessica Lin, don't ever use a Nokia if there's even the slightest chance of you having to destroy your phone in case of emergency. It's just a plain stupid move."
The phone's classic startup sound rang. Michael was about to tap on the call icon, but the screen suddenly went black.
Minnie burst into laughter. When she finally had had enough laughter, she looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"Michael, you're really awesome! You're really used to scolding others. Anyway, I also have something to tell you-think before you speak."
She was quite sick of his condescending attitude, so she couldn't help but mock him when what he said was proven to be bullshit.
Michael didn't say anything. He just pinned Minnie's wrists above her head. Sure enough, sparks seemed to fly out of her eyes, and she started breathing heavily out of anger. Her expression was also suffused with irritation.
His gaze suddenly roamed about her body. She struggled and wanted to knee him in the nuts. Before she could do that, however, he slipped his legs between hers and pressed forward, sandwiching her between himself and the wall and thus rendering her unable to move.
Her limbs were completely rendered immobile, and she had no idea what he was planning to do. She softened her voice, "Michael, let go of me. Please?"
Michael glanced at her, removed the SIM card with one hand, and threw the phone out of the window.
He then called the bodyguard outside to come in and threw the SIM card to him.
"Go and check the records. Don't miss any details."
The bodyguard immediately went out to carry out the order.
Minnie, who was still pinned against the wall, could only watch helplessly. "Michael, let go of me!"
Michael leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Jessica, don't you understand what I said just now? I told you not to imitate her!"
Minnie snorted in anger. "Michael, are you perhaps crazy? Do you always feel that every woman you meet is similar to her? If you love her that much, why don't you just die with her?"
Right after she finished her words, Michael pinched her neck. A mixture of rage and murderousness was brewing in his eyes. He sneered, "Who told you she's dead? If I don't allow her to die, she won't die."
Minnie struggled for air, all the while cursing him out for his arrogance inside her heart. She wanted to refute him, but aside from choking noises and coughs, nothing else came out of her mouth. Tears once again started to well in her eyes.
