Chapter 8 She Is An Ostrich

What made Bella sad was that Russell believed that everything was her fault indiscriminately.

She lowered her head and said in a weak voice, "Don't worry. I won't cause you any trouble!"

She covered her hands and walked out slowly. As soon as she entered the bathroom, she couldn't help but burst into tears, with blood oozing from her hands. She loosened the other hand that was holding tightly. It was really a miserable scene.

She picked up a few pieces of tissue to cover the wound, and then quickly went out. She hadn't finished cleaning yet. If she couldn't go back to prepare dinner tonight, Russell would be mad at her again.

In the office, Elsa explained guiltily, "Mr. Russell, I didn't mean to do that. It was her who..."

"You can leave now!" Russell threw a check to her impatiently, "I think you should know my rules!"

"Why? Mr. Russell? Am I not even comparable to a maid? Mr. Russell, I... "

Elsa tried to defend herself, but Russell didn't listen to her at all. He interrupted her, "If you want to go out with injury, I don't mind letting you say a few more words!"

Elsa slipped away in a hurry. There will be many chances to win Russell's heart. Now she can't lose her future by acting rashly.

Christmas was coming in a few days, and the weather was getting colder and colder. Bella breathed a sigh of relief and looked out of the window. It was snowing!

Thinking of Igor, she hadn't seen him for a few days. She wondered how her son was doing with Louise and whether he had warm clothes to wear.

The low pressure lasted until they went to the company. Bella was totally restless. She struggled to carry the bucket to the CEO's office with both hands, and her injured hand was still faintly painful.

It has been just two days after she was injured, how could the wound heal so quickly?

But to her surprise, she hadn't seen Elsa in the past two days. Did Russell recognize her nature and drive her away? Or did he secretly feel sorry for her?

Bella found herself stupid at the next second. She should still expect for Russell's tenderness.

When she came to her senses, she found that Russell was standing behind her with his hands behind his back.

"Bella, when did you learn to be absent-minded at work?" Russell's tone was cold, just like the weather outside, making Bella felt chill in her heart.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Russell. I'll clean it up soon. Just a minute!" In a panic, Bella put her injured hand into the cold bucket without hesitation and began to work quickly.

When she found the blood on her hand, Bella raised her head in a hurry. There was bloodstain on the white office table. She immediately explained in a trembling voice, "Mr. Russell, I'll clean it soon. I'm sorry!"

"Well, get out. You don't have to come here in the afternoon. You can go back to cook the supper!" Seeing the bloodstain on his hand, Russell was moved. He swore that he didn't care about her at all. He was just afraid that she would die and he couldn't take revenge.

"Really? Can I ask for another leave tonight? " Although she knew that there was little chance for her to ask for leave, she still tried her best to fight for it.

With longing in her eyes, Bella stood still, looking forward to the answer of Russell.

"No way!" Russell knew what she wanted to do and it was not that easy for her to leave.

Bella walked out of the CEO office disappointedly. But she knew that half a day's leave was already precious. With a debt of 5 million, what else could she ask for?

To save time, Bella asked Louise to bring her son to the company. She would meet them directly after work.

When she saw her long lost son, tears welled up in her eyes. Regardless of the wound on her hand, she rushed over and picked up Igor. With tears in her eyes, she said sadly, "Honey, have you missed mom these days?"

"Of course I do. Mom, are you tired from work? Igor needs to grow up quickly. I have to work hard to support you! " Igor said in a sweet voice and kissed her.

"Of course I'm not tired. Igor, I'm going shopping with you today!" Bella put her injured hand into her pocket. She didn't dare to let Louise and Igor see it because she was afraid that they would worry about her.

The three of them walked out of the company, talking and laughing. The people in the luxury car outside had already seen this scene. The man could not help but clench his fists and his face was very tense.

In the nearby department store, Bella went straight to the children's area. These days, she had food and drink at Russell's place for free, which saved her some money and enabled her to buy some decent things for Igor.

They bought a lot of stationery and books. Now they went to the children's clothing area. Bella saw a very handsome down jacket. When she reached out to pick it up, the clothes was already taken by someone else.

Bella turned around and saw an old friend.

After casting a glance at Bella, she immediately turned her body and looked at her carefully. She frowned in disbelief and asked, "Are you Bella?"

"No, I'm not. You got the wrong person!" With her head down, Bella reluctantly turned away and quickly picked up Igor, but a man walked towards them and stopped him.

"You must be Bella, the follower of Russell. By the way, Russell is also here. I believe you want to see him again."

"No, no, No. you got the wrong person!" In the past five years, Bella had been unknown and quiet. That man had already stood in front of her, but she denied. She didn't want to bring more trouble to her life.

Putting down her clothes, Jenny walked to Russell with a smile.

Yes, it was Russell who blocked Bella's way. When she turned around and saw him, she felt very sad. She had tried every means to ask for a leave from him, but it was ruined by this accident.

When she saw that Russell didn't refuse, Bella thought, 'That's right. She has always been in good relationship with Russell. For a period of time, Bella even thought that if it weren't for Alesia, there would still be a Jenny who stand between Russell and her. No matter how hard she tried, Russell wouldn't take a look at her.'.

But Russell didn't push Alesia away. Did it mean that they were about to get married?

Holding Russell's arm, Jenny smiled and said, "I wanted to buy a clothes for my little brother, but it was touched by someone. Russell, you know I always hate evils as poison. Let's try another store."

"What do you mean?" Louise couldn't stand it anymore. Bella might be an ostrich, it didn't mean that her bestie was an ostrich too. She couldn't watch her bestie being bullied.

"What do I mean? Should I treat a murderer with good attitude? Louise, we were friends. Have you forgotten? " Jenny cast a sarcastic glance at Bella.

Louise flew into a rage. Seeing this, Bella immediately took her away. Otherwise, no one knew what would happen.

After walking away from them, Bella stopped. Louise asked angrily, "Bella, it's not all your fault at that time. Why did you grovel to them?"
