Chapter 4 Rebirth In Blood (Part Two)

It broke my heart when I thought that my parents died in sorrow. I felt so remorseful.

Now that God gave me another chance, I would make sure that I would be filial to them. I would never make them sad again.

But I couldn't act rashly, especially against my enemies. I need to plan everything well. I would apologize and make up with my parents first. Then I would deal with Joshua and Bella.

To start with my plan, I secretly hired a private detective to follow them even if I was still in the hospital.

Sure enough, they had been cheating on me.

The private detective had taken a lot of pictures of their intimate moments together.

I knew that once Joshua confirmed that I broke up with my parents, he would hook up with Bella.

Bella once said that Joshua didn't love me. Did she think he truly loved her?

I thought about it carefully. Indeed, Joshua didn't really like Bella either. The reason why he secretly hooked up with her was that she was the illegitimate daughter of the Bi family. Not long ago, when her grandpa had kicked the bucket, Bella's father gave her the opportunity to reclaim her identity and return to the family. And since the Bi family was also one of the powerful families in the city, Joshua had started to pay more attention to her.

As a matter of fact, Joshua had known Bella for a long time before he met me. But no matter how coquettish she was, he didn't even look at her. Things only changed when Bella was finally recognized by the Bi family.

A few days later, I was discharged from the hospital. I was back on track. The latest report I got from the private detective I hired was that Joshua and Bella were staying in a hotel room together. Perhaps he thought that I had really broken up with my parents for good, so he pursued Bella.

In the photos that the private detective showed to me, Joshua and Bella sneaked in and out of the hotel one after another. They seemed to be extremely careful.

Maybe Joshua was still expecting that I would reconcile with my parents and pave the way for him. That was why he was so careful in hiding his relationship with Bella. But in the latter times, when there seemed to be no hope that my parents and I would make up, he just let Bella push me to have a miscarriage and die.

Thinking of his viciousness and coldness sent a chill all over my body. I couldn't believe that I gave up everything for such a horrible person.

If my memory served me right, Joshua and I would get married two weeks from now.

This was also the time that I had totally fallen out with my family.

I shouldn't let it happen this time. I must deal with Joshua and Bella before our wedding day.

I racked my brains for a long time. Finally, I came up with something vicious.

The fickle, silly, and naive Scarlett had long died. And the new Scarlett was reborn.

It was Saturday, but Joshua got up very early. Although I felt nauseous of his presence, I endured it and coquetted with him. "Joshua, today is Saturday. Why are you wearing a suit? Are you working overtime again? Can't you just stay and accompany me?"

With his back on me, he fastened his necktie and said, "Scarlett, I have no choice. I'm going to marry you soon, so I have to work hard to support you. Don't worry. When I get promoted, I'll spend all my weekends with you."

Obviously, Joshua didn't have the slightest idea that I already knew that he was working hard with Bella in bed and not at work.

I forced myself to smile and said, "Joshua, you are so good to me. I love you so much. By the way, I forgot to tell you that I will be flying to Paris tonight to pick up my wedding dress."

He finally turned around and looked at me. "When are you coming back?"

"Next Friday. Since I'm going to France, I must make the most of it. I'll go shopping and roam around."

I asked Joshua to send me to the airport, and he didn't refuse. He even watched me through the security check. Before I entered the lounge, I turned to him, and he smiled at me.

I used to like his smile because he looked so handsome. I even giggled every time he smiled at me.

But this time, I couldn't help but sneer. Knowing the meaning behind his smile, I wanted to tear his mouth apart. He must be very excited to see me leave. Finally, he could spend time with Bella freely.

The truth was, I didn't ride the plane. I just waited for Joshua to leave the airport before I called the private detective I hired to follow him. After a while, he reported to me that Joshua brought Bella to my house. I almost smashed my phone in rage. They had gone overboard.

Was I really this stupid to fall in love with a scumbag?

How dare they dirty my bed! I would definitely teach them a lesson they would never forget.

I called Joshua's friends, relatives, colleagues, and even his superior one by one. Fortunately, I met his boss when I once accompanied my father to an event, and I had gotten his number.

As soon as he picked up the phone, I smiled and said, "Mr. Zhang, since Joshua and I are getting married in two days, I want to give him a surprise pre-wedding party tonight. Are you available?"

Joshua's boss confirmed that he would be there. My plan seemed to work well. Aside from his relatives, colleagues, and friends, I also invited mine and Bella's acquaintances.

Actually, I also invited a very special guest for Bella. Bella broke my family and made me lose everything. She only deserved to receive something from me.

After informing everyone about my so-called "surprise pre-wedding party" this evening, I went out of the lounge and took a taxi home.

Honestly, I was very nervous. Knowing how cunning and shrewd Joshua was, I was afraid that he had seen through my plan. Perhaps he had already noticed something, but he just didn't take it seriously.

But this time, there was no turning back for me.

I must be home before my invited guests arrived. Otherwise, my plan would fail.

I kept urging the driver to drive fast.

Because of speeding, we accidentally hit the car in front of us. Fortunately, the taxi driver was quick enough to step on the brakes. We avoided a big accident to happen.
