Chapter 8 Meet Again At The Airport

Pretending to be still angry, Anne glanced at Wendy, but she didn't have the heart to see her best friend to be really sad. So Anne sighed and took out a check from her bag.

"Here you are. You can fill in the number whatever you need."

Wendy took over the check, took the black pen and wrote two hundred thousand. "That's enough. Thank you."

Wendy's voice was choked with sobs. "By the way, Anne, I want to ask you another favor."

"Say it." Without losing her temper again, Anne straightened her body.

"Help me take care of my mother. I'll go abroad. Wait for me. I'll definitely come back," Wendy said in a trembling voice.

"Don't worry. I'm here with Auntie. As long as I'm here one day, she will live healthily." without hesitation, Anne answered.

In the afternoon, Greg received a check of two hundred thousand dollars from Wendy sent by somebody. When he saw the note writing words that Never see you again, he immediately went out.

When he came back to his house, he asked all the maid, but no one said to see her. It could be imagined how terrible his face was at that time.

Soon, Greg thought of Wendy's best friend, Anne, the daughter of the Xia family. Greg gave her a call. After a few talking, Anne began to scold him.

Greg directly hung up the phone. He knew that Anne wouldn't let him know where Wendy was.

So he began to make phone calls. "You'd better find more people to go to all the airports and stations to see if Wendy Ning is there. If you find her, report to me immediately. The bonus is five million dollars!"

Then he hung up the phone.

Wendy was about to buy the ticket and board the plane, but she saw several men sneaking around at the airport with a picture in their hands. She felt a little uncomfortable, so she turned back her body.

As soon as Anne received the phone call from Wendy, she arranged a place for her to stay, and asked her people not to say that she was here.

She took her luggage and went to the hotel address sent by Anne.

Greg immediately took up a document folder and threw it on the face of those people who were searching for Wendy.

"What's wrong with you, Mr. Greg?" His secretary Judy came in the office. She wanted to stretch her hand to touch him.

Feeling someone touching him, Greg shook off the hand in disgust. His face was cold and there was no expression of pain on it. "What's the matter?"

Looking at the disgust in Greg's eyes, Judy was a little shocked. 'What's going on? Normally, he would never do this to me.'

"Boss, what happened to you just now? Do you feel uncomfortable?" She looked timid and frightened.

However, Greg still said coldly, "I don't think what happened to me has nothing to do with you. Just do your own job."

Judy bit her lips unwillingly. What was going on? "Okay," said Judy obediently She turned around and was about to leave.

She heard Greg was calling him. She was a little excited. It seemed that the CEO was still good to her. "Boss..." Before she could say anything, she was stopped by his words.

"You, don't touch me from now on." Greg was serious. If this insubordinate assistant touched her again, he must fire her.

"Yes, boss." Then Judy turned around and ran out of the office. If she was pretending to cry just now in the office, then now she was really crying after hearing what Greg said.

A few days later, it was at the airport.

"Remember to take good care of yourself when you go there." On the way, Anne told Wendy the dos and don'ts to be abroad. When they arrived at the airport, Wendy waited in line for the security check and waited for boarding.

Anne hurriedly took out a business card from her pocket. "Here is my aunt's phone number. You can call her if you need anything. I've already told her about you."

"Greg Xiao, let me tell you. Don't ever try and bully Wendy. I'm not a coward! And I'll definetly teach you a lesson." Anne was the first one to rush up to protect Wendy.

Hearing that, Greg's eyebrows twitched. He looked at Anne and thought that if she weren't the best friend of Wendy, he might have already dealt with her.

"Anne, if you dare to show off here, I will ask your father to marry you off earlier."

Yes, Anne's father had been busy thinking about whether they should marry his daughter into the Xiao family recently. If Greg said anything at this time, she would probably have no chance to avoid that joint-marriage.

"You!" Anne's face turned pale and red with anger.

Wendy stepped forward and held Anne back. "You go back first, Anne. I'll go with him."

"But you can't go with him alone," said Anne worriedly.

Wendy gave Anne a reassuring eye and said, "It's okay. He won't do anything to me." Wendy pushed Anne back a few steps forward.

"Alright, call me if you need anything." Then Anne walked out of the airport.

"Ah!" With a scream, Wendy was pulled out of the airport by Greg and thrown directly into the car.

"Go." He told his driver. There was anger in Greg's voice. He couldn't believe that this woman would really run away from him like this. If he didn't come here in time today, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"What exactly do you want? Greg, I have given you back all the money I owe you. You have no right to order me."

Wendy went straight to the point and looked at Greg firmly. Seeing his more gloomy eyes, she was afraid.

Touching Wendy's chin and put her head up, Greg smiled, "Do you think it's over between us?" He loosened his hand on the jaw and added, "No way!"

Finally, she escaped from his grip. She rubbed herself on the chin and said, "Who do you think you are? Do you think that there is no law system in the country? It's against the law for you to do so. I have the right to sue you."

"If you have the ability, you can go and sue me!" Greg's eyes turned red with anger.

Seeing his expression, Wendy knew that it was useless to continue. "I want to get off the car."

"You want to get out of the car. So will you ignore your mother's safety?" Greg's words suddenly stopped Wendy, who was about to try and jump off the car.

"What did you do to my mom?" Wendy came to her senses and immediately took out her phone from her bag to call the nurse who was taking care of her mother in the hospital.

"Hello, this is Wendy Ning. Is my mother still in the hospital?"

The nurse felt a little confused. "Miss Wendy, didn't you ask Mr. Greg to take your mother to another place for treatment?"

She lowered her hand after hanging up the phone and asked, "Where on earth did you take my mom?"
