Chapter 7 Kneel Down And Apologize

Wesley was a bit stunned by how arrogant this woman was. He even thought that she was a demon straight from hell because right now, Christine was unafraid of death.

If Christine wanted to irritate Wesley, then it was obvious that she had succeeded.

No one knew how worried Wesley was about Jessica. At this moment, Wesley was so anxious about her safety that he even wanted to strangle Christine.

This woman had lived long enough. Did she know what she was talking about?

He stared at Christine, who sitting smugly on her bed, and his blood boiled. He felt his hair stand up as her arrogance filled him with anger.

This woman was courting death just to get back at him.

"Christine, you slept with me just for my family's money and power. I've told you before that you should name a price and move on to the next target after you obtain the money. At least you should've shown some professionalism.

Let me tell you, even if you marry into the Helian family, I promise to make your life a living hell.

Don't think that you're untouchable just because you have my grandpa's support. I've seen and dealt with a lot of women like you."

Although Wesley spoke every word ruthlessly, he could not do anything to Christine, at least for now.

Wesley had no clue to Jessica's whereabouts and it was hard to hold on to his grandfather's words that she would not be harmed. Right now, if he hurt Christine, it would surely make his grandfather angry, and the consequences would be dire.

Thinking of how helpless he was, Wesley felt even more annoyed. Wesley's anger kept piling up in his heart like a keg of gunpowder waiting to explode.

He reminded himself that he must not hurt Christine.

He might not be able to touch Christine, but everything around her was fair game. In his anger, Wesley smashed the tea set on the floor and thrashed the medical equipment inside the room. By the time he was tired, the VIP ward was a total mess. Despite causing so much ruckus, none from the hospital staff dared to confront and stop him.

After all, no one dared to evoke this man's wrath; they knew the consequence of irking someone rich, ruthless, and powerful like Wesley.

Despite the chaos happening around her, Christine was as calm as a lake. She was not afraid at all because she was aware that Wesley could not harm her. Jessica's safety was on the line and he could not afford to risk it.

Looking at her calm expression, Wesley suddenly felt that everything he had done was so childish.

He realized his foolishness and quickly turned around and left. On his way out, he slammed the door so hard that it left some cracks. At this point, everything in the ward was destroyed, but Christine was fine.

When Karl learned that his grandson went to visit Christine, he was a little relieved, but when he knew what Wesley had done in the hospital that very day, he felt very angry.

Christine was in the hospital because of him, and he even made a terrible scene.

Gripping his walking stick tightly, Karl sat on his chair and waited disappointingly for his grandson to appear.

Meanwhile, Wesley knew his grandfather's temper and accepted the fact that he could not escape his beating.

"She will become your wife in the future. How can I rest assured if you treat her like this?" Karl hoped that his grandson would listen to him.

However, it was wishful thinking to expect Wesley to be obedient.

"Grandpa, you knew this would happen. If you hadn't set a trap on purpose, how could I have anything to do with her? Now, you're using Jessica's life to force me to marry this woman, who I have no feelings for."

"How dare you be so stubborn? You took her virginity. Do you want to be beaten this badly?" Karl was so angry that he raised his walking stick and began to beat his grandson.

He was much stronger than he looked, even though he was really old. Wesley's back was bleeding from Karl's beating.

In the past, Karl often beat Wesley to teach him a lesson. Now, he was beating his grandson continuously because of a woman, which made him very angry.

But Wesley could not retaliate against his grandfather. He had to endure all the pain for now and then would lash out at Christine to vent out his anger later.

Wesley knew that Christine would be discharged from the hospital the next day, and her father, Nathan, would also be there to get her. Nathan would definitely not let his daughter offend Wesley in his presence, and Wesley was clear about this fact.

The next day, when Wesley arrived at the hospital, he saw Nathan and Christine.

In fact, Nathan did not plan to come here, but he had to keep an eye on Christine and prevent her from causing any more trouble.

When he saw Wesley's figure heading towards them, Nathan quickly put on a fawning face.

"You've come." Despite the flattering smile on Nathan's face, Wesley ignored him completely.

"Christine, how can you make my grandfather defend you like this? You're such a bitch!"

"Wesley, what do you want from me?" Christine felt helpless.

"As I said, kneel down and apologize to me!" Wesley muttered expressionlessly.

"Wesley, this is going too far."

"Huh? Too far? How dare you say that to me?"

Christine wanted to avoid having a meaningless conversation. She wanted to walk past this arrogant man, but she was stopped by her father.

"Kneel down and apologize, you ungrateful daughter!"

When Nathan saw what was happening, he quickly turned on his daughter and tried to look impressive. He kicked her legs which forced her to kneel before Wesley.

Wesley looked at Nathan with disdain. He did not defend his daughter when Wesley was pressing Christine step by step. Nathan even kicked Christine to the floor in order to curry favor with him.

When Christine fell on her knees that way, it robbed Wesley of the satisfying feeling of breaking her will.

As Nathan treated his daughter poorly in front of him, Wesley felt a little more pity for Christine.

Nathan was still yelling at his daughter to apologize, even beating her. But Wesley mumbled, "Forget it."

His encounter with them turned out boring; it seemed that Christine was also a miserable woman. Although Wesley himself had been under many similar beatings from his grandfather, it was still difficult to believe that a father could treat his daughter like that.

After feeling a little sympathy for Christine, he was less annoyed at the thought of marrying her in a few days.

A wedding needed a lot of preparation, and a wedding dress was one of the most important steps.

His secretary mentioned that many girls dreamed of wearing a unique and beautiful wedding dress on one of the most important days in their lives.

Wesley did not care much about his wedding because it was not something that he looked forward to. After all, he was only forced to do this so it would be a waste to put effort in the preparations.

However, thinking of what Nathan had done to Christine at the hospital today, Wesley really felt a little sorry for her. It made him rethink about his disposition towards the wedding.

Perhaps he could invite her out so she could pick the wedding dress that she liked. It might be the only way to paint beauty on a wedding that neither of them wanted.
