Chapter 5 You're Still My Wife

There was no trace of love and joy in her black eyes as usual, but only coldness. Susanna looked at him and said, "Mr. Cory, I have a lot of things to do, so I don't have the time to make decisions for you.

Now that you have achieved your goal by taking advantage of me, please let me go. You can have a look at the divorce agreement. All I want is Jarred and the dowry that I brought here at the beginning, which deducted the bride-price from it!" Susanna said peacefully.

After saying that, Susanna got out from under Cory's arm, but was caught by him again.

When their eyes met, the dark eyes of Cory were surging, and the cold breath from his body seemed to be able to devour her at any time. "Are you sure you want to divorce?"

"Yes!" Susanna was still calm. How could she be that stupid to stick to her marriage till now? Then she would be hopelessly stupid!

Cory suddenly pushed her and pressed her against the wall. The two bodies clung to each other tightly. She could almost hear Cory's strong heartbeat.

As she breathed, the burning breath of Cory panicked her. She tried to stop him in a hurry. "What do you want to do, Cory?"

"Now you are still my legal wife!" As Cory spoke, he bite her lips directly, plundering her breath...

After a moment of panic, more humiliation and anger welled up in her heart. Susanna closed her teeth hard, and a smell of blood spread between her lips and teeth!

Cory frowned tightly, but he didn't retreat at all. Instead, he kissed her more fiercely.

Susanna's body couldn't help trembling, and her tears fell down her cheeks...

Suddenly, she pushed Cory away with all her strength. At the same time, she slapped hard on Cory's face with all her strength. Her cold eyes were full of mockery and anger. "Cory, you are so disgusting!"

After saying that, she opened the door and went out, regardless of her messy clothes.

Staring at the closed door, Cory clenched his fists. Anger surged in his black eyes. "Susanna, you will come back and beg me!"

As soon as she returned to the villa, Susanna began to pack up her things. She didn't have much things to pack up, and she only brought her casual wear. She didn't want any of the dresses that Cory had sent her.

The things of Jarred were a little more, but a large suitcase was enough to hold them.

When she went downstairs with two suitcases, Bader looked at her in surprise. "Madam, what are you doing?"

"I have divorced with Mr. Cory!" With a smile, Susanna said, "Bader, please help me throw away the things left in my room and in Jarred's room!"

"But..." Bader wanted to persuade her, but she saw that Susanna had already walked out of the villa with two suitcases. Bader could not help but sigh.

She couldn't go back to the Su Family now. Susanna checked in a hotel near the Su Family's yard, put her luggage in the room, and then went to the kindergarten to pick up Jarred.

Today was the four year old birthday of Jarred. Susanna went to the cake shop and ordered a cake. Then she rushed to the kindergarten.

In the past, she had personally made the birthday cake for Jarred, but this time...

The kindergarten was over at five o'clock. When Susanna arrived at the school, it was already six o'clock. The other children had already gone home.

In the classroom, a little toy plane was assembled and disassembled repeatedly by Jarred. Sitting opposite to him, Mike looked at him with a gentle smile, trying to communicate with him.

However, it seemed that Jarred was immersed in his own world. He didn't even look at him, let alone speaking.

Susanna's heart ached, not only because of Jarred's autism, but also because of Mike, who had been protecting her all these years.

Even after he knew that Jarred had autism, he went to Jarred's kindergarten to be a teacher just to help Jarred recover as soon as possible.

Mike was a successor of an education group. Although he said that he was sent to that kindergarten for training so that he could know more about his family's industries, Susanna knew that he was doing this for the sake of Jarred and her, as a kindergarten teacher.

Mike seemed to feel something. He turned around and looked at Susanna. She hurried into the classroom and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Mike. I have something to deal with at home. I'm late."

Having heard Susanna's voice, Mike smiled more gently. He looked up and saw her in a floral dress. A flash of amazement flashed through his eyes. He instantly stood up and said kindly, "It doesn't matter. Jarred is a good boy. I like to stay with him very much."

"Thank you!" Susanna walked past Mike and walked towards Jarred. She bent down and picked up the little boy. "Jarred, what are you playing?"

"Mom..." Jarred called her in surprise, but didn't answer her question.

"Well, Mr. Mike, I'll go back with Jarred. Thank you for taking care of him today." After saying goodbye to Mike, Susanna turned around and walked out of the classroom. Smelling the unique fragrance of Susanna in the air, Mike tried to grasp something, but he failed.

Seeing that Susanna had walked out of the classroom, he hurried to catch up with her and grabbed her hand excitedly. "Are you free this weekend, Susanna? Let me take Jarred to the amusement park with you. It's helpful for him."

Susanna got rid of his grasp quickly and refused him instinctively, "Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Mike. It's okay. Jarred doesn't like any place with too many people..."

The thought that Cory wouldn't let her and Jarred have a schedule other than going to school flashed through her mind. A bitter smile appeared at the corners of her mouth. Susanna forgot that she had just signed the divorce agreement and divorced Cory.

From now on, she was no longer imprisoned by Cory, but she was not as happy as she expected.

As he looked at the expression on her face, Mike's heart ached for her. He knew how Susanna had been through her marriage. But it was Susanna's own choice to marry Cory at that time, and he had no way to stop or right to interfere.

Holding her son tightly in her arms, Susanna walked out of the school, but she heard Mike's voice again from behind. "Susanna, if you don't let Jarred contact with any new things, it would make him worse."

Susanna stopped and looked at the little Jarred in her arms who was looking at her with his big bright eyes. She felt sad.

Mike walked quickly to her front, stopped and sighed slightly. "Susanna, Jarred is still young. He still has a long way to go in his life. He should go out more to see the color and happiness of this world, instead of giving him a completely dark world because Cory doesn't like him."

Mike was right

Just like Cory never liked her, and he never liked this child either. Although Susanna knew all of this, Jarred still didn't understand it.

He just wanted to be held by his father every day and play horse riding game with him, just like other children, but the way Cory looked at him was always full of disgust. The cold and gloomy aura from him made Jarred dare not approach him at all.

Due to she was imprisoned in the villa by Cory, of course Jarred couldn't come into contact with any new things. When he was 2-3 years old, his child's personality took shape. Because of the depressing atmosphere at home and the growing environment, her child suffered from severe autism.

Susanna held the baby tighter. It was her fault to make the baby suffer so much.

She raised her eyes to look at Mike, "Mike, thank you. I will try my best to take the child out on weekend. I won't bother you."

Mike's eyes darkened. For so many years, she was still unwilling to accept him, even if a little.

After saying goodbye to Mike again, Susanna quickly got into the car with her child in her arms.
