Chapter 5 What Are You Doing

The architectural style of the Brocade Garden was very unique. The two white building looked simple and elegant, especially the various flowers planted in front of the building, which made Lesley very fond of them. In addition, there was a distance from the downtown, which made her feel comfortable to enter the paradise of the world.

The car was stopped in front of the Brocade Garden. Hearing the sound of the vehicle horn, Maria hurried out of the villa with a happy smile on her face. When Lesley got out of the car, Maria went to help Lesley specially. Lesley was especially surprised at the enthusiastic behavior of Maria.

"Lesley, you're back." Maria held Lesley's hand, as if she had seen her family whom she hadn't seen for a long time.

Although she was confused, she still kept a calm smile on her face, allowing Maria to lead her to the villa. Michael who had been behind Lesley took a big step forward, leaving her a cold and tall back.

"Lesley, it's so nice to see you come back with Master Michael!" Maria chattered as she walked.

"Maria, go to the kitchen and cook something to send it to the study." As soon as they arrived at the hall, Michael suddenly turned his head and ordered coldly to Maria, who was smiling happily.

"Well, I'm going now!" Maria let go of Lesley's arm and walked towards the kitchen with a smile.

There was only Lesley left in the luxurious hall. In addition, instead of going upstairs, Michael looked at her coldly, which made her more restless.

"What are you doing there?" After staring at her for a long time, Michael said coldly. His sharp eyes swept across the little red face of Lesley, and a faint disgust appeared on his face.

With a shudder, Lesley walked up to him with a nervous look on her face. Her hands crossed uneasily, and her eyes wandered on the smooth floor. She didn't dare to look at the displeasure on Michael's face.

Then Michael turned around and went upstairs. On the other hand, Lesley followed him quietly, fearing that she would be scolded again if something went wrong.

The villa was especially quiet because of the small number of people. In addition, the atmosphere at the moment was more mysterious, which made Lesley feel more nervous.

Lesley thought that Michael would go straight to the study, but to her surprise, he grabbed her wrist and dragged her into the room expressionlessly. He threw her into the sofa fiercely, which was totally out of her expectation.

As she was thrown into the sofa, Lesley didn't feel any pain, but felt a little embarrassed. She tried to sit up with strength, but was held by the hand of Michael, so that she couldn't move.

"Didn't you hear my words I said?" Although he asked in a low voice, the hostility exhaled from his voice really scared Lesley. She wondered if he was so angry because she went out without informing him.

"Sorry, I..." Lesley knew she was in the wrong and apologized in time.

Although Michael had always been cold to Lesley, it was the first time that he used his body to hold her down, which made her face pale.

Hearing that Lesley apologized to him, the anger on Michael's face didn't decrease, but increased instead. He tightened his grip on her jaw, which made her frown deeply, and a faint snort came from her throat. Her delicate eyebrows and eyes looked still beautiful, but did not attract any pity from him.

"Sorry?" With knitted eyebrows, Michael pulled Lesley up from the sofa and tossed her to the dresser. Pointing at the open drawer, he questioned, "Then why did you make the same mistake as before?"

Michael, who was much taller than Lesley, roared at her with a red face. His anger frightened her and made her tremble all over. She looked at the opened drawer foolishly. Although there was nothing in it, Lesley clearly remembered that on the day that they got the marriage certificate, Michael specially reminded her not to open the drawer. She thought that there must be something important in it, so she remembered it clearly. She had nodded incessantly, making sure that she wouldn't open it. But now the drawer was opened, and she was suspected by Michael. Before she could defend herself, she was convicted by him.

Understanding what was going on, Lesley shook her head and denied, "I didn't open the drawer."

She said in an indifferent tone, showing no sign of panic.

Michael asked, looking at Lesley in a playful tone, "So you mean it is Maria who opens it?"

"I didn't say that!" Hearing Michael's rash conclusion, Lesley was a little flustered.

"There are only two people in the Brocade Garden, you and Maria. Have somebody else stolen?" Michael's suspicious eyes were like a sparkling knife, wandering beside Lesley's face, making her almost suffocated.
