Chapter 7 Memory (Part Two) (Part Two)

"Mom, I've made up my mind. I promise to marry Bertram Jin!"

This was her only choice, wasn't it? If there was any other way, she would never agree it.

Vicky walked up and gently sat beside her, touching her hair.

"Alina, we're sorry..."

Alina's heart ached when she saw her mother crying. She held her mother's hand and said firmly, "Mom, don't worry. Even if I get married, I will often come back to see you and dad. So don't be sad any more, okay?"

Only she knew that she was pretending to be strong at the moment. In fact, she had long wanted to cry out loud in her heart. However, her reason told her not to cry. She couldn't let her mother see anything wrong and raise a sweet smile.

"Well, mom, I will be happy in the future."

Her mother sniffed and said, "I made porridge for you. Eat it while it's still hot."

Then she picked up the bowl of porridge and took it with a smile. Then she ate it under her mother's gaze.

She knew that she was going to get married, but she didn't expect that she would get married so soon. Within a week, the Jin family had gotten everything ready.

It was just a wedding. She felt a little dizzy when it was made so luxurious.

Sitting in the bride's lounge, through the mirror and the makeup artist's skills, she doubted if the person in the mirror was herself.

The bride should be happy, sweet and even shy. But no bride was like her. There was no joy in her eyes, no happiness, and no shyness. There was only pain, sadness...

"Oh! Miss Alina, today is your wedding day. How can you cry?"

Alina didn't hear what the make-up artist said. She was immersed in her own thoughts. The thought of that man on the flight made her heart ache. After today, she would be someone else's wife, and he hadn't shown up yet.

The make-up artist quickly picked up a cotton swab and carefully wiped the tears on her face.

But her tear fell more fiercely, which made the makeup artist anxious.

"Miss Alina, if you keep crying, your makeup will be ruined..."

Alina had thought that one day she would be with her beloved man and he would put on a beautiful wedding dress for her. But the reality was cruel.

She looked at herself in the mirror and sneered. She thought her body just was dead, a sheep without soul. She shouldn't care about it at all!

But to Alina's surprise, the man she was going to marry was Bertram Jin, the legal heir of the Jin family! It was him!

The man she met two times on the plane, the man she ran into in front of the elevator of the hotel. It was not until the two of them formally met at the wedding that she recognized it!

She didn't know how to react at all. When he came over and held her hand, she could clearly feel the shock he brought to her!

She didn't know what the priest had said at all, because she hadn't recovered from the shock at all. Hearing who had reminded her, she answered in a low voice, "I'm willing to..."

When she returned to the Jin family, she still thought it was her illusion. But even if it was an illusion, why was it him?

She stared blankly at the bathroom door and heard the sound of water from inside. She finally realized that she was married!

Maybe such a coincidence could only appear in novels. Or was the world too small?

The bathroom door was opened and Bertram Jin came out.

He wore a blue bath towel around his lower part of the body. He wiped the water on his head with the towel in his hand and walked to the wardrobe. He took out a set of clean home clothes and put them on casually.

Although it was just a glance, she really saw his body.

She turned her head away in a hurry and her heart beat faster.

Without looking at her, Bertram put on his clothes quickly and said indifferently, "you can sleep in this room from now on!"

Before she could understand what he meant, she saw him walking out. She quickly stood up and shouted, "What about you? Where are you sleeping tonight?"

She didn't know why she cared about him. She had made up her mind before that she would still live her previous life after marriage.

Bertram Jin turned around and looked at the woman in front of him. She should be his wife.

To be honest, when he saw her at the wedding, he was also a little stunned. But only for a moment, he did not show it.

Although he had met her on the plane before, he didn't take her seriously. But he didn't expect that the woman who married him was her.

As a matter of fact, he felt very angry about his marriage. He was angry that his grandfather made the decision on his own marriage. But he knew his grandfather's temper clearly. If he didn't listen to him, then what his grandfather would do. He knew it very well.

The Jin family had been running hotels all the time, but he had no interest in hotel management since he was a young man. After graduation, he founded the "Top Media" alone and had a good reputation in the business circle.

In the eyes of outsiders, everyone knew that he was the successor of Kenneth Jin. But he was keen on his media company.

His grandpa knew he couldn't do anything to him. He had only one grandson, so he just let him be. But in the end, he still had to take over his hotels!

At this moment, the woman standing in front of him took off the bride makeup in the daytime and looked much more pleasing now. However, he had been very angry at the beginning of this marriage. So he couldn't be nice to her.

"Anything else?"

Seeing the impatience on his face, Alina's voice trailed off.

"Well... Then where do you sleep? "

What he meant by saying just now was so obviously. That was to tell her that they would sleep in separate rooms in the future. To be honest, she didn't care about that. But when she saw his face, she couldn't ignore him.

"I don't live here. I'll sleep in the study room tonight!"

Then he walked out without looking back. Looking at his back disappearing at the door, she wanted to say something, but she was stuck in her throat.

Alina had been living in the Jin family since she married Bertram. On the second day of their marriage, she realized that Bertram Jin didn't live with his family. But he had his own house outside.

Usually, he wouldn't come back his home unless there was something important. Therefore, since the wedding day, the two of them had never seen each other again.

Alina didn't care about it at all. She didn't want to get married. She didn't care what her husband was like.

She was more than happy not to see each other. So that she could have her own space and go back to work.

Even if she got married, her life would never change!

She went downstairs and was about to have breakfast. To be honest, the Jin family was really rich. This house could be described as splendid, not exaggerated at all. Even an ashtray was made of imported crystals, at least hundreds of thousands dollars.

When she first came here, she was indeed shocked. But after living here for a few days, she gradually got used to it. Even the servants here were of high quality.

As soon as Alina went downstairs, the housekeeper, William Jin, came over and said respectfully, "My lady, the breakfast is ready. Please!"

William Jin had been in the Jin family for nearly forty years, so everyone respected him. They all have called him uncle William.

Alina smiled politely and followed him to the table. She looked around and asked in confusion, "Uncle William, where are grandpa and dad?"

Although she was not used to being called like this, she had to be polite in such a family. Yes, you know, it was completely polite to call them like that!

"The milord doesn't have the habit of having breakfast. He goes to the backyard to take care of the lily every morning. And Mr. Kenneth Jin went to the company early in the morning. "

"Okay, I see." Looking at the dishes on the table, she was used to the rich breakfast.

"How can my grandfather not have the habit of breakfast? Breakfast is the most important thing for a day. Grandpa is getting old. Why doesn't he care about his health? "

William could tell that she really cared about the milord and said nothing.

"Well, I'll call grandpa over to eat!"

William Jin nodded and didn't refuse. For so many years, although everyone was worried about his habit. He was so stubborn and wouldn't listen to anyone.

He could see that her grandpa liked her very much, or he wouldn't agree let her marry the young master. After all, young master couldn't let go of his hatred for what happened that year.

It might work to get Alina married him.

As soon as she entered the backyard, she saw a large bouquet of lilies, which made Alina feel much better. Smelling the faint fragrance, she felt relaxed.

Seeing that Vincent Jin was watering the flowers, Alina tiptoed to him.

"Grandpa!"

He turned around and saw Alina standing behind him. He smiled, put down the tools and asked, "Alina, why are you here?"

"So grandpa likes lilies?"

He straightened up, looked at the bright lily in front of him and said lightly, "Yes, I'm old. I have to find something to do, or I will be very lonely and boring!"
