Chapter 5 I Want You To Recover More Than You Do

As Amy saw that Jack was about to lose his temper, she softened her attitude and turned to Emma, "You must try and persuade him. He is always welcomed to go back home. You can go back at any time!"

"I know!" Without saying anything more, Emma nodded. On the one hand, she didn't want to have too much interaction with this woman. On the other hand, if she said too much to this man, Jack must mock her self-righteousness.

After Amy left, Jack acted as if she had never been here. He dealt with business affairs calmly with a cold face, looked at the documents, and twisted his eyebrows from time to time. Emma sat next to him and waited.

At 6:30 p.m., Emma was unable to persuade Jack, so Emma returned to Jack's villa with him.

The spacious villa was empty. The decorations and furniture were all in black and white, which were cold and simplest.

"You are sitting here. I'm going to buy some food and I'll make dinner for you." As far as Emma could remember, Jack hadn't eaten anything today.

"You don't have to go out to buy food! They are all in the fridge!"

"What?" Doubtfully, Emma walked into the kitchen. He hadn't been back for two years. How could there be anything in the fridge?

She opened the fridge and saw it was full of fresh seafood, vegetables and fruits. Emma was shocked and asked aloud to Jack who are in the living room, "did you ask someone to put them in advance?" Did he planned that he would come back today?

There was no sound from the living room. Emma didn't care and started to cook when Jack ignored her words.

Half an hour later, they sat at the dining-table. Jack picked up some food and began to eat. He ate calmly, but his aura was so strong that people could hardly breathe.

Even Emma held her breath.

Seeing that Jack put down his chopsticks, Emma cautiously suggested, "Jack, I'm so sorry for making your leg hurt. I'm willing to take care of you until you can stand up. In this period, you can't force me to do anything I don't want!"

"Force you? You asked for it!"

If she hadn't pissed him off, would he have touched her?

With a snort of contempt, Jack took a sip of the soup and sprayed it out. He said in disgust, "It's so terrible!"

"Unskillful?" When Emma was about to take a sip, she was stopped by Jack. "Push me upstairs!"

"......" Emma paused, and put down the spoon, then pushed him towards the stairs.

Looking at the stairs, Emma was in a dilemma. She suggested, "How about asking Beck for help?"

She was not a delicate woman, but Emma knew that she did not have enough strength to lift Jack up.

"You can't make it?"

"I'm not strong enough." Emma answered honestly.

He was not a child. If he were a child, she could still hold him.

"But you have to!" Obviously, Jack didn't care if she could do it, this was what she should have suffered.

Letting out a sigh helplessly, Emma said, "Let me help you up and go upstairs slowly!"

"What?" Emma's suggestion took Jack by surprise.

Emma found that she had made a good suggestion, reached out to help Jack, and said, "In the morning ... don't you want to stand up and go on your own? Let me help you walk slowly! " Speaking of the things happened this morning, Emma's face was hot, but she didn't escape.

With a cold face, Jack didn't resist and let Emma help him upstairs.

Jack suddenly wanted to recover.

Jack didn't want to give Allen a chance to ridicule him for his mobility problem!

He walked slowly with the support of Emma.

Seeing that Jack was trying his best to climb up one step after another, Emma was more and more pleased.

As long as he exercised, he should be able to recover soon!

It seemed that the two-year stand emotional damages did not have much impact on him.

When they finally entered Jack's bedroom, they were both sweating. Emma helped him sit down, wiping the sweat on her face and said, "Do you see this? You are coming up!"

Emma smiled, tears in her eyes unconsciously, Jack calmly looked at the woman who was almost crying with joy, and almost suspected that her marriage derailment was just a lie.

However, something suddenly occurred to him. He said in a low voice, "Don't be too happy. I can recover, it will be sooner or later, but it is impossible for you to leave!"

The joy on Emma's face disappeared all of a sudden, and she said, "Let me help you bring the wheelchair here!"

Then she turned around and left the room.

Emma fetched the wheelchair and helped Jack sit down. Then she said calmly, "I will put the water on, then you can take a bath!"

The joy just now couldn't be seen on her face.

Jack raised his eyebrows and said, "Look, I guessed it right. You are just thinking that after I recover, you can get away without being hurt! You just don't want me to bother you! Humph!"

"In the past two years, I have never thought that you are troublesome. I have been taking care of you by myself all the time. You have always given yourself up as hopeless! Jack, I wished you can recover more than you did in the past two years! I don't want to give up on you! I have no choice. I don't mind making up some ridiculous things to provoke you and even... I have given my first time to you. Please don't satirize me any more! Let me leave when you recover!"

After saying that, Emma turned around and went straight into the bathroom.

Jack stood still.

'She said it was a lie?'

Something thumped Jack's heart heavily, and he couldn't ignore it.

While Emma was pouring water into the bathtub, Jack came to the bathroom door in a wheelchair.

Emma's side face was looked cold and alienated, Jack opened his lips and said, "You take care of me out of guilt, and you are hurried to leave me out of selfishness. As for whether you are cheating on me or not, your excuses are so false and there is no credibility at all!"

How could he easily believe what a skittish woman said?

She even wants him to recover more than himself? It sounded touching, but ironic after thinking about it.

Lying and storytelling, should Emma be good at it?

Finished pouring the water into the bathtub, Emma turned around and walked past Jack. Obviously, she turned a deaf ear to Jack's words and even didn't want to look at him.

"Stop!" After Emma walked away, Jack frowned and ordered.

Hearing that, Emma stopped her footsteps. In a grouchy voice, she said, "You take a bath by yourself!"

"Help me!"

"I helped you before because you were lying down and taking a shower is really inconvenient. Now you can sit up, you can take a shower by yourself!"

"Emma! !"

At a short distance between them, a fierce battle was spreading in the air.

"Or I can call a male nursing worker for you!"

"I'm your husband!" It was obvious what Jack meant. It was reasonable enough to serve her husband to take a shower.

Emma stopped, bit her teeth and turned around. She strode forward and squatted in front of Jack.

Jack looked at Emma with his chin straight and his eyes drooped.

So Emma raised her head, straightened her face and said, "Honored 'Husband', you just can't move your legs. Can you take off your clothes by yourself?"

Without saying anything, Jack just looked at Emma with a sneer.

Emma pursed her lips, reached out to touch the buttons at the collar of Jack's shirt and lightly unfastened them.

One by one, Jack's perfect figure appeared in front of Emma's eyes when his shirt was open. Jack's clear-textured abdominal muscles fluttered slightly with his breath.

At last, the shirt was peeled off, and the upper body of a strong and handsome young man showed in front of Emma.
